{80's Traction!} Kickdown | Ex-Grey Green 143 (F143 PHM) | Alexander RV Volvo B10M-50 ZF

The final drop from me this year from the Low-Ish Floor Running Day brings a much older vehicle compared to the majority which attended! This is a Volvo B10-50 Alexander RV, Ex-Grey Green 143, which once upon a time served the streets of North London between the years 1988 and 2003! It started off being operated from Stamford Hill before the merge into Arriva London where it had transferred to Tottenham Garage and repainted into the Cowhorn Livery. Aside from the history this bus sounds proper beefy, at times it would shake whilst the bus went into second gear... a typical experience for the older Ecomat gearboxes. And in general some pretty good acceleration for it's age as well. 💪🏾 This is a short one from me today, but it was only right I put this one up to join the M394, a MCW Metrobus I filmed a few months ago... that makes two 80's motors on the channel now!
I'd like to thank Bromley Bus Preservation Group and everyone else involved who put in so much time, money and effort to make a great day out for everyone to enjoy themselves. Hope to see you lot out again next year! 🙌🏾

The sound of B10M's and D10M Citybuses never get old. I once went on an ex Burnley and Pendle Citybus that had a high speed diff with a 5 speed ZF. It could do 70mph.
