Tamiya Super Clod Buster Gray Edition Speed Run... With 2 different sets of tires......

Hello everybody....
In this video I test 2 Super Clod Buster's (the term "super" is used lightly) speed capability...... Or lack there of.
The Blue Clod is stock (other than bearings). The yellow CVA shocks don't make it faster nor does the steel 13 tooth pinions.
Both Trucks Have Full Bearings - Bearings are not a hop up but rather a necessity to me, same is true for the steel pinions.
The Gray Clod (most times I don't say super, it's still just a Clod) is using the following parts....
Tamiya Super Stock TZ Motors #53696 (both motors now have bearings, rear motors endbell rotated 180 degrees and timing on both set at zero).
Winter Evening Bearings: Winter Storm Series (comes with all 24 bearings). Not sure the part number however, on the website, they are $16.95 and free shipping.
Robinson Racing Hardened 13T pinion gears (32P) #1713
Pinions are stock size so no gain in speed.. Stock pinions seem to be made from butter, so again, steel pinions are a necessity.
Now, what I found out doing this test...
The TZ motors DID NOT make the truck that much faster, I'm kinda shocked at the MPH. The TZ motors, out of the box spin at @ 26,500rpm, that's gotta be 10,000rpm more than the silver cans, right? The TZ motors do however produce a lot more torque over the silver can motors. This is fine with me cause I did not want the truck super fast but I was not expecting such a low MPH with these motors (not this low).
The Tires: I ran the truck with the stock kit tires and then with the slightly taller JConcepts Golden Years tires on their Tribute wheels. If you want to know the speed results, watch the video...
I do have a problem with the JConcepts tires and probably my fault, I said the tires are not glued "straight" but it's more likely the foams in the tires bunched up (I thought I was really careful when mounting the tires). I might have to get some CA Debonder and start over.
