You can be a skeptic without being a jerk. That skeptic was smirking almost like he was making fun of these people that took comfort. I’m a skeptic and I would want to be happy they felt better. I think having people to talk to and feeling heard are very important. If a psychic and a grief therapist help you, great!
God these people who try to debunk are just so frustratingly closed-minded. I bet even if you showed them the science behind nonphysical phenomena, they would stick to their own version of "truth".
