I've got a 2010 Raptor SVT with the 5.5 ft bed, and was able to find a tent that goes into the bed of the truck, along with an inflatable mattress that is form fitting to the bed as well, even goes over the wheel wells to give you more room.
The tent has all the same features as a regular tent, including the skylight windows that zip ooen and closed, and a rain porch at the exit, plus a zipper passthrough for access through your sliding rear window. It doesn't interfere with your pull out step either.
Easy to assemble and take down too.
I'd much rather have the roof top tent, but for a inexpensive startup system, it works really well and at least you're up off the ground.
The bed even comes with a 12V air pump that has a feature where you can inflate and deflate quickly, and a carry bag for storage.

When you were deciding to make the V6 raptor purchase, what do you think about the long term reliability of the twin turbo eco boost V6 over the V8? I would think V8 has less moving parts and less prone to have issues in the long run. Curious to see your though process. Thanks

Main reason why I got my gen 2 in white, so it hides the pin stripping and scratches from off road adventures lol.

The more you off-road it, the less you'll care about the racing stripes gained from bush-whack. Cool vid.

That truck is sick!!! My 2014 Ram has buttons on the dash to turn off those pesky parking sensors. They’re actually off all the time, couldn’t stand the beeping. Doesn’t Ford allow you to turn them off?

The flying bug was a Tarantula Hawk…..lucky you didn’t get stung. One of the more painful stings out there! Lol

    • @drivenmad2089

Yeah I figured it was something that would have a decent sting but I’m glad I didn’t get too close to it haha

So how bad were the scratches? Planning on taking mine to black gap at the end of April. Are we talking "that'll buff out" scratches? Or permanent lol. I'm fine with "that'll buff out" lol
