Stock 2021 Ford f150 Lariat 3.5eco boost in eco Mode i have managed 20mpg combined twice. have only 5k mileage and have not done a long highway trip yet to see if i can get better. Will be doing a 280 Mile trip this summer hope I can see over 21mpg but got mountains on this trip.
I have a 22 Raptor with 35s and just did a 1200 mile trip. When I kept it 70/75 mph I was getting 21-23 mpg. When I bumped up to 80 mph- I got 18-19. Super impressed with this truck.
That’s interesting. I’m getting around 15-16 on the trx going 70 and 12 in the city. Occasional full throttle bring it down to 10. I love in a hilly area that doesn’t help with the mileage either
Yeah these fuel numbers have gotten me looking at other trucks now. I know not much compares to the raptor but filling this truck up sounds scary. Haha might go tremor 150 std eco boost
Charlie, I was enraptured by this Raptor mpg test. The highlight for me was 6:33 when you were passed by two Corollas at the same time. When we consider the Raptor has more horsepower in one cylinder than those cars have in their two engines combined, we are left with much food for thought ;-)
I currently have a 2022 raptor 37 on order. And I purchased the Raptor over the TRX because I thought it would be a better daily driver. Besides my 2014 gt500 will look great sitting next to it .
I got the same package with 10K mark up because no dealer in California will sell without mark up but I got the car same day without waiting, it really depends how much you love it
I feel pretty good about my Gen 1 Raptor SVT now at least, my highway speed is between 55 and 60, and I get between 14.7 and 14.9 mpg. under average/high traffic. I felt bad at first because I have the 6.2 V8, and I was worried that I wasn't getting better. But from what you say about the Gen 2, and Gen 3 even, I am doing pretty good comparatively. These new trucks are geared towards better fuel economy due to the V6 engines, so this makes me feel much better about my own fuel economy. I don't get to drive my truck as a daily driver so that's also part of the equation as well. But overall I am pleased with a truck that will get @500 miles per tank if I needed to take a road trip. Thanks for the info, and the video. Raptors rule!❤
Bout the same mpg as my 4Runner with aggressive tires lol. This raptor is my next vehicle. I owned a gen 2 before and depending on the road conditions, I can get almost 600 miles per tank at 70 mph. also can’t beat the comfort of a Raptor
That is the IR sensor you cant see it at all in day or night most cars have them now a days. Only reason you can see it is because cameras pick up the light unlike our eyes.
17 mpg on ANYTHING in the year 2021 is awful. And that's highway? What the hell does it get in the city 9 mpg. Be prepared to pay $1,500 a year MORE for gas.
17mpg on a truck with 37’s is absolutely fantastic.
LOL, this is the same fuel economy as my tacoma...
I get 17 mpg in my 2023 Colorado when I am heavy on the gas so for a raptor on 37s to get this is great. I would take this with that big tank all day.

Update hit 21.5 mpg on a long trip with alot of hills and 120 miles of town driving at 18.4 so 23+ mpg all highway should be possible
Aint no regular F150 thats a fckn Raptor
Do you plan on doing a MPG test on a 3rd gen raptor with 35" tires?
Thanks Mike

I get 13 mpg 2019 raptor 35 wheels lifted a well. City driving I think 16 doable hiway 556 hp btw and 93 tuned as well
God have been waiting for this for so longgg thanks man
thank you very much. I have one on order and was wondering if I made the wrong choice. I did not.
My Raptor 37 is getting 16.1 mpg running 75 - 77 mph. Air pressure in all tires is 40 lbs. If you run the truck hard plan on way less than 15 mpg.

@@raba329 how do you like the way the TRX drives over the raptor? i have heard the steering is much heavier and just feels like a bigger rig.

I’ve noticed on mine when I drive howay at 45 mph my miakeafe goes way up

Well he wasn’t racing the Carollas so what is your point?
city driving, i get 15.8 with ac on and 16.3mpg with no ac. 35" oem tires.

How did you order??
@@chriscarcamo3991 Placed my order a month ago . The allocation go really fast on these trucks. It’s crazy I had to search so many dealers.
What is the delivey waiting time?
Are you going to MSRP price or is going to have dealer markup?

I got 37 in gen 3 and i have 2k miles with avg 10.5mpg but I mostly drive in city. I also drive pretty hard b/c of the exhaust. So pretty bad.
I have the 2021 raptor 31 gallons that’s it. 14.6 in town no matter what it’s on 35s.
Nice test! The raptor doesn’t need premium fuel and that “ 3 click “ method isn’t a good practice. Over pumping can damage the evap system man

Wow that’s actually pretty decent
"No point in listening to the exhaust drone as you drive along"??? That's the whole point.
Great stuff. Did you do average around test ?? Thx
That’s actually great mpg with 37s
My GMC Denali w/ 3.0 gets 28 mpg at 75 mph.
does it stay in sport after you turn it off and back on? the GEN2 does not.
No
Does this have front and rear diff lock
Rear lock. Optional front torsion
What did the truck show as the mpg average during this trip, in comparison to your calculation?
At $5+ per gallon, if I had one it'd be sitting in the garage. In fact, at $2.00 it'd be sitting in the garage 90% of the time.
My Raptor 2010 make 12.4 mpg, mostly Drive in city.
Whats with the little purple flashing lights? Is that the alarm system? That must be annoying at night.

What about 93 octane
Against with BMW X1
You got lucky with your truck. My 2022 is getting 14.4 with 93 octane and 14.1 with 87 octane. I have babied it, checked with gps that’s it.
City or highway or both combined¿
@@marcuskoolrt both
Yikes that's depressing
I get 16mpg at 75 with my gladiator on 40’s
No way
Considering the TRX gets 8-9mpg I think the raptor is pretty decent

@@DailyMotor alright
Twice the power and size of an engine tho
Poor gas mileage for a v6 but beats the ram 1500 Trx only gets an average of 8 mpg! It honestly ment for going off road on short trips!
It's 4WD not AWD just to let you know because you said AWD
Tires look too big for the wheels
Yea it looks pretty comical.
It has a purpose for off road.
