As I understand it, that chain is 1,060 feet long. Since the chain is a giant loop, that must mean that it takes 530 feet of chain to get to the top of the lift hill.

Magnum is the second best coaster at Cedar Point, according to the Golden Ticket Awards. I love it!!! It has been in the top ten ever since the GTA (Golden Ticket Awards) came out.

Yeah, it should because it sold Arrow's aspects before Arrow went bankrupt.

Another good POV and timeless coaster. Need I remind people this was the first coaster to break the 200ft barrier and fire the first shot in the coaster wars as it's been said. Which paved the way for all the meanest, tallest, fastest designed coasters you ride today. And this holds up. People have to understand these coasters are all supposed to be different rides. This can be rough but not always. It can depend where you sit. If the trim brakes are off then the bunny hills can be nasty but fun
I really liked this when I was at CP for the first time the other day. The air time on the last section was crazy. But it also hurt like hell so I only went on it twice :-)
My friend and I knocked our heads together on one of the turns of this ride. I almost passed out from the pain...
I went on this when I was seven. The sound of the chain taking up the cart was terrifying for me, and I never went on it again.
This ride has one of the longest climb times in the park

i was 8 when i rode this ride it was my first rollercoaster and it was awesome
Really if you sit in the right place this can be a very fun ride! The airtime is so much fun!

My freind rode Magnum 2,632 in '06. Nice guy. He lived 5 miles from the park. Went there after work. Could've ridden more bt he's not one who runs over people. he also got to know some good coster enthusiats freinds that way. He rode Millennium and Maverick too :

Still a good ride :) Airtime may be painful and the ride may be shaky, but I give credit to Arrow Dynamics for building such an icon of Cedar Point, and overall an awesome hyper coaster
never will I ever do Magnum again. the ending camel backs was enough to give me whiplash and back pain on top of it. that shit needs smoothed out.
That's because the track was hand bent. One of the very few coasters to be done that way
i do agree that they need more secure restraints on this but still a really fun ride :)
I found this ride to be a little too cramped and some spots were a bit bumpy. Out of all the coasters I've been on at Cedar Point Blue Streak is the bumpiest but it's still cool because it's 50 years old and still operating.
CPWindsorsub lol the first time I went to cedar point I went on blue streak, it was amazing. Then last summer, we went and I couldn't go to the ROLLER coaster(idk why my mom wouldn't let me) and when my younger sis(THEYY ALL ARE YOUNG I AM THE OLDEST) and my mom came back from the COASTER they said, the ride got dangerous. IDC, but I'm going on the magnum, Gemini,iron dragon, and the blue streak next summer. IMMA DO IT.

The “lap bar” on this ride is so incredibly uncomfortable, but the ride is still pretty great, in an old-school, painfully rickety kind of way.
Arrow isn't really gone. They're now part of S&S Worldwide. But it is unfortunate that they stopped making classic coasters.

Such a great coaster. In any other park, it would be the star attraction. But here, it sits in the shadows of TTD and MF. Too bad Arrow Dynamics is gone as well.

Does anyone know if they take your picture when you go through the tunnel on this ride? I'm asking because I'm pretty sure I rode this in like 2001 and I'm pretty sure my pic was taken in the tunnel but I'm not positive lol.

Cedar Point did a better job with this than Millennium Force.
Maybe it was Intamin that messed up.
The airtime bumps hurt like crazy on this and millennium force is smooth as crap... How is it better? (I'm on my moms account)

I'm not sure if this coaster hasn't aged well or I haven't. I rode this when I was a teenager back when this was the biggest ride at the park and it wasn't that bad. When I came back in my late 20s, the vertical transitions seemed extremely violent and even dangerous if you weren't prepared for them. I feel like the trains are in need of headrests to prevent neck injuries during the strong positive G moments.
It's a bit rough, but it's still amazing.

+Ryan Mayr Get a GoPro with a chest mount harness. They may not object to that. Otherwise, DON'T DO IT. That little cell phone you're holding in your clammy hands can turn into a deadly projectile at roller coaster speeds.
+Eric Janney I can tell you from experience at Six Flags Great Adventure they will stop you and make you remove the chest mount.
Video sunglasses. They can be found on Amazon for less than $50.

I can't tell if you're serious or not. But no. It doesn't invert.
Its a great roller coaster but way to shaky. Every single time you get airtime your thighs get smashed into the lap bar and nothing you do can stop it. Cedar Point needs to smooth this coaster out. MF is a lot better and the entire ride is smooth, your thighs do not get smashed into the lap bar every time you get airtime. Maverick is better than TTD and you never know what its going to do next, TTD is good but way to short to wait over an hour for a less than 1 min ride.
I feel that it's time to remove this ride. It just beats you up too much. My back always hurts when I get off of it, and my hands.

uzieric1 This coaster was the first of its time back when it was first built. They never had many tunnel elements before so i guess thy wanted to experiment with them. They should have made them a little longer
