Trains: 3 trains with 8 cars. Riders are arranged 4 across in a single row for a total of 32 riders per train.
The ride begins with a left-hand turn out of the station to the lift hill that ascends 137 feet (42 m). Riders are pulled up by a 9,000 pound chain lift. At the top, the train dips slightly into the pre-drop before turning 90 degrees to the left as it drops 119 feet (36 m) down the first hill. From the bottom the train immediately enters a 100 feet (30 m) vertical loop. The train then enters a zero-g roll followed by the cobra roll which inverts riders twice. The cobra roll was a first for inverted roller coasters. After the cobra roll, the train climbs through an upward spiral and enters the mid-course brake run. Next the train dives down to the right transitioning into a brief straight section of track. Riders then enter the first of two corkscrews which rotates the train 360 degrees to the left. The track straightens briefly again before turning to the right and entering a short dip before taking riders into the second corkscrew. The ride finishes with a 1.5 revolution flat helix where riders encounter strong positive G-forces before making one last left turn into the final brake run. One cycle of the ride lasts about 2 minutes and 16 seconds.

So, that big purple bar at the bottom hit him, huh? Guess it turned out to be a half good thing since no riders were injured. Still sad,even though he did cause his own demise.
At least with the Batman incident it was a kid...kids are known to take dangerous risks more often than adults. Unfortunate thing to ever happen to anyone. This dude was 45, am I right? Plus, he HAD to of known about the Batman kid at Six Flags! What I mean by that is he had plenty of warnings with all that, the fences, & signs.
I know his family has to be asking the question, "WHY?" "Why did you do it?" My prayers go out them.

I have gone to this roller coaster last year and i nutrally pissed my pants and closed my eyes during the whole ride.

This ride moves you around A LOT! It is pretty smooth though...and very loud. We waited 80 minutes to ride this on a Friday morning. Our next longest wait was probably Valraven. Everything else was 30 min or less. We couldn't do Steel Vengeance because the wait never got under 2 hours. Maverick was closed all day and we just passed on Rougarou, Blue Streak, and Iron Dragon. This amusement park is really great if you're a big coaster fan. There are other kinds of rides but just a few. There is a considerable amount of kiddie rides too with Snoopy Land.

Now onto my review of this ride. I loved the whole configuration except for the spirals at the end. It made me, along with somebody else in my group, slightly dizzy. Not bad though, and we recovered soon. It was a unique track configuration and a very smooth ride as B&M is known for.

I love the ride. Love the roar too, only bad part is u always have to stop ur conversation when you walk past it.
Rougarou is exactly the same though. That B&M roar makes it impossible to talk over anything.

For some reason all three of my rides on this thing were brutally rough. Like SLC rough. Very weird since the other B&M inverts I’ve been on have been buttery smooth.
My cousin who was 14 at the time thought it would be halarious is we rode this front seat when I was 8. I have no idea how he talked me into it.

LOL, love the coaster, it was the first for my two youngest kiddos to ride...the incline takes a minute & it sounds like somethings gonna break, they should slap some duct tape on the rail with a camera & see how many riders point it out & their expressions😆
I love the sound of old B&M inverted lifts. The newer ones don't have that awesome sound or the roar.

Lol, i rode on this the first year it was out, on one of the fast outside twists and that turn i almost lost my shoe, it was a struggle to angle my foot to keep the shoe from flying away, still one of my favorite coasters.

This was my first big upside down roller coaster I screamed my fucking head off but it was so awesome once I got passed the lift hill lmao i rode the corkscrew before this I do not recommend riding that my ears we're hurting like hell
Corkscrew is still better than magnum X-L 200... At least better at letting you keep your hearing.

I like Raptor. It's fun to film off-ride (one of my most popular vids). I had a re-ride once where the OTSR tightened on me I couldn't breath! I was the last one off!. Manger has a big smile on his face unlocking the restraints from th top. How was your ride? uh I can't breath. Other than that it was great : My freind lost his cell phone. We could see it in the grass behind the fence by the pizza patio lol the crew knew him and his Mom from ERT's. So they got it for him as soon as it closed.

First off, my condolences to the family & friends of the person who died, and also to the Cedar Point crew who had to see , deal & cope with this tragedy. And as for the guy who died, it is still a tragedy regardless of how poor of a decision he made. This is about the 6th time this sort of thing has happened with a suspended coaster. The most gruesome incident of this type took place at Six Flags Over Georgia where a 17 y/o was actually decapitated and the leg of the girl who hit him was broken. In fact, I believe there was 2 instances where a rider's leg was broken in this type of incident. They put fences up and put "restricted area" signs up for a reason. For those who disobey, not only are they putting themselves at risk, but they are also putting riders on the trains at risk as well. When I was at 6 Flags Great America, there were 2 teen ages purposely jumping over into restricted areas with a giant stuffed tiger they just one at a game, and they were taking pictures near the "restricted area signs". We couldn't believe it. I heard some people were ejected from the park by security and I have to wonder if it was them. Furthermore, violators at that park are not only ejected from the park, but they can also be prosecuted. It's for their own good. A friend of mine lost his keys at King's Island back in 2011. We simply filled out a lost & found report and they will retrieved it after the park closed. I know it can be a pain to wait that long, but it is not worth loosing lives. I'm sure many have successfully retrieved their belongings, but 6 people have now died this way. Inverted and suspended roller coasters can be very deceiving. One may think they can get out of the way, but they don't always see them coming, especially if they become preoccupied in looking.
your not supposed to go into restricted areas in the first place and its the persons own fault if they lose something on the ride they always tell you and have stuff to put your stuff in like shoes but morons are to lazy to put in there you have to tell the works if you lose something and wait but people cant wait becaue they are dumb and get themselfs killed i have no sympathy for these people who cant read at all its there own fault they are killed i also hate them for ruining our rides James was a 45 year old manchild im glad hes dead less morons to deal with
