    I hope Gemini lasts a very, very long time. It's one of my favorite rides at Cedar Point. Whenever I go, I can't help but ride this coaster over and over. This steel beauty has some great airtime, and is smooth as silk even after all these years. Definitely a classic ride that's fun for families and thrill seekers alike!

  • @wawawis

    This was probably one of my top 5 coasters at Cedar Point. It has some really good airtime and I like that there is a single loading area between the 2 tracks instead of having to fork off into 2 separate loading areas like on other dueling coasters. It is so much easier if you want to race with a friend. These also get so close that people were actually able to high-five across the trains. And unlike other racing coasters, these trains actually caught up with one another a few times.

    • @jpwcpa
      @jpwcpa 8 лет назад +1

      +Jeremy Wissel I rode Gemini a few times yesterday (closing day of the 2015 season), and I can confirm everything you said. The lengthy walk from the entrance gate to the stairway leading up to the loading platform could use more lighting after sunset, but otherwise no complaints at all.

    Since everyone loves this ride , for my school Graduation trip we went here and I’ve been to cedar point before but never went on rides cause I’m scared of heights.. so my teacher and friends convinced me to get on , when we got the top I’m not gonna lie I immediately wanted to leave but they said it was a “simple ride” so I’m nice and calm but then we’re going up. And I start getting paranoid 😂 and then when I say everything was fun after the drop... I swear I literally thought my heart fell out my chest 😂 my head went downward and it felt like the force wouldn’t let me move. But the race part was fun. Only complaint was the bars looked like there were made to hit ur hands 😂.

      i rode magnum once, and refuse to ride it ever again. i was not used to coasters when i rode it, and was literally panicking on the first hill. i cried pretty much the whole time (which is not like me at all), and when i got off of it i could barely walk because my back hurt so bad. it was not fun.

  • @Jhihmoac
    @Jhihmoac 4 года назад

    I went on this ride back in 1978 when it first opened... The concept of a wooden framed roller coaster running on tubular steel tracks was uncommon... You didn't have the rickety feeling you had on a 100% woodie, but you went smooth and FAST... The Gemini was one of the inspirations for Rocky Mountain Construction of modern day to utilize a combination of a more advanced box steel track and wooden support frame on their monsters, such as CP's Mean Streak redo, "Steel Vengence"...

    Don't overlook this classic gem. It is a wooden coaster but the track system is like those of metal coasters so it's much smoother than a traditional all wooden coaster. Also this one is so much fun, especially if you have several people in your group. The cars are close enough you can high five people on the other track. The cars race each other which makes this ride kind of unique. Also the waits are pretty short for this one.

  • @anthonym3021

    This is one of the best Arrow coasters still in operation, in my opinion. Even though it has low ridership, when I go I'm still lucky enough that at least 60% of the time they run both sides. It's not rough at all, has some good airtime and headchopper moments, and has decent speed and transitions that make it a rather thrilling coaster that's fun for the whole family. I hate when enthusiasts say this is going to be the next coaster to go, because as far as I can tell, it still has plenty of good years left in comparison to some of the other Arrow coasters at the park.

    That is by far one of the least attractive coasters ever made. It's funny how colorful the station is considering the only color for the track or supports is rust.

      TheRealConcertKing I've rode this ride so many times. Last time I rode it. We passed a dollar between the 2 cars.
