Border Collies are way faster than most dogs. Also there is a three legged fox lives in my area and I saw a man walking a German Shepherd and the German Shepherd saw the fox and went for it and the three legged fox was SO MUCH faster than the German Shepherd it was actually hilarious. It did a sort of hyper speed zoom away from the German Shepherd that was running at full tilt. And that was with a missing leg!
I have 2 border collies and I regularly have them running next to my ATV at 35 mph, after that I can pull away from them. They can jump at full speed over very wide and tall obstacles. They are very fast and athletic.

Wolves are better at it because they ambush big prey together and move the pack miles away to follow migratory big animals, it's one of the reasons why they adapted so well to humans, we both were nomadic. I've been into dog breeds for over 40 years and I've never heard of a Tatra Shepherd. Also Border Collies are super fast and no way they're behind those larger muscled breeds like the Cane Corso.
Yeah agreed, frankly all these dog lists for top speed are either derived from very little data or take a few outlier dogs who could run fast. If you take the average top speed of 1000 border collies and the average top speed of 1000 Cane Corso's, those collies will show substantially higher speeds

general but not really accurate......i had a Doberman i clocked at over 40 mph on an ATV and he was pulling away....he was fast enough to catch jack rabbits........not an average specimen though....very tall and lean....like a greyhound on steroids
