Love this ride! It's so smooth and relaxing. My stomach barely dropped on any of the drops & I have a weak stomach. You just feel like you're gliding in the air not like you're on a coaster.

@@iansnetwork Agreed, it can be a thrill and still be enjoyable. Not everything needs to be 5G's in your face the entire time.
This was the smoothest rollercoaster I've ever been on. I just sat pretty chilled while it was going. Love Cedar Point.

Really, because the video cam on this looked shaky. Glad to know it's smooth.
Am I the only person who thinks that the track and trains of this ride look freaking awesome.. I would get in line just to see the trains up close
+AEguy Productions you only see one part of the coaster in line, but the size is still incredible. its fun to watch the ride on the first drop, but its a way different experience on ride the first time you do it.

This was my first upside down roller coaster ever. I almost cried waiting in line for it.... and then I rode it three times. I LOVE it I felt like a bird. It was kind of relaxing and just beuifitul. The first loop was a bit scary but it made it fun

Same. 2 years ago I was too scared to go on any of these. My brother all but forced me on the gatekeeper and all that fear...for nothing. Now I can ride anything!
THE EXACT THING HAPPENED TO ME I WAS SO HORRIFIED BUT THEN I LOVED IT
Gotta tell you, back seat is where it's at for this ride. Front seat is more of a hangglide feel while the back seat is true flight. I rode it in all four prime positions three times each (left front, right front, left back, and right back). Go with the right back for the best possible footchopper through the keyholes.
That drop off the lift in the outer right front seat is amazing tho, but then, so is the sort of 'wing over' dropping from the left front outer seat…IDK, it's just the coolest damn coaster B&M ever designed.

Michael M Hope you do, think you will if you're a coaster fan. One thing I really liked & wasn't expecting-I've been riding most of my life (I'm 47 now) so I never feel the G's anymore. GateKeeper really surprised me-very strong G's from start to finish-first time in years I felt the G's and it was SWEET! Felt like the first ride I ever took all over again :) It's an amazing coaster and B&M isn't even my favourite coater designers. Intamin is. Post your experience tomorrow after you ride it, man!

Well this was the second time of me going to CP with a friend. The first time was with two friends for the weekend and for some reason, we could not stay off Millennium Force.
This ride at night is amazing
ikr this ride sucks in the morning. also, at night you get to smell the funnel cake being cooked it smells great!

I would agree, but I've never been there.
Been to a lot of parks, Cedar Point and Magic Mountain are a close pair, but in my opinion magic mountain is better by a slim margin.

I couldn't breathe on this ride. The vest is so tight that I couldn't take in full breaths and therefore I was having freak outs. I had to calm myself down.

Don't be too scared. Just get on it and do it. Believe me, you won't regret it. All you have to do is just... do it. You may be terrified, but once you're strapped in, there' no going back. And you've won.

Terrified of rollercoasters but absolutely loved this ride. Make sure you ride this a few times! I was way too terrified to open my eyes the first time but on the second time it was just like flying through the air and it was so fun!!
does it make your stomach drop a lot or make you dizzy? i have major coaster anxiety along with notion sickness but would love to try this next time!

I went to Cedar Point for the first time Memorial Day weekend, and I got to ride this about four times because there was absolutely no line (the longest wait was like fifteen minutes). It could've been the way I was sitting, but the restraints also dug into my waist, which didn't feel the best.
Though I'd have to say, this and Maverick are my favorite coasters in the park.
Crunchy_Cookie I honestly thought these were the best restraints, but everyone has their own opinions on things

I rode in last row in the back and it was epic! Felt like a bird!! And I rode it at night too which just made the experience even cooler, so glad I live near Cedar Point it’s the BEST!

When I went to cedar point last summer, the wait for this ride was only about 10 minutes. This was also probably one of my favorite coasters. Rode it about 4 times in a row due to it having such a short ride.

I just went today! This was my last ride and I loved it. My first was the Dragster and I ended up losing my glasses. I also enjoyed the last row on this ride. It was cool seeing what was about to happen.

I went to cedar point for the first ever time yesterday! I’ve never been on rollercoasters this big in my whole life, and gatekeeper was my favorite. I actually got to ride it twice! Make sure you take a deep breath at the first drop though. My vision went black a bit the first time lol

Those people screaming in the background when the roller coaster came down sounded like they were having a good time, that's what made me want to ride this, and on May 25th i am going to cedar point, but honestly I don't blame them for screaming, it looks super scary but super fun!

Cedar Point literally does everything right. I feel like one of the great perks of being raised and living in Pittsburgh is this park is about a 2 hours and small change’s drive away from me at all times
I went on Tues. June 18th and it was packed! It looks almost empty the day you went. GateKeeper was about an hour wait, and for a new ride, it was worth it!
This is the best ride to me cause I love being on the end it make you think your gonna hit a white pillar.
And it so peaceful to me

Yeah. I miss it too, along with the Space Spiral. They were the good rides and some of the original attractions in the Cedar Point Midway. But at least, GateKeeper is an AWESOME replacement now.
