This is definitely a roller coaster for first timers like myself
That Guy...Brian like me lol
+Mystic Luma this was my first ride you will defenetly enjoy it if you havent rode it by now
MrGameinRox _ I have I really enjoyed it
great :)
MrGameinRox _ :)
i don't care what people say but this ride was pretty fun i enjoyed it.
I am to lazy to think of a name it's not crazy insane, but still bad ass! Plus amazing view!
Its boring
it’s boring asf
@@devazeybek1881 it's good for beginners
@joseph c. i’ve been on the king da ka so why would i be scared to ride the dragster 🤣
This is pretty much a level 1 newbie roller coaster, but an entertaining one that I remember fondly. Like many others posting on here, it was my first "real" rollercoaster and it's one I still ride when I get the chance.
mine ride is for newbies lol
This beautiful piece of machinery gets picked on way too much. This ride wasn't made to thrill. It was made to relax and let you enjoy the few of the trees and the little pond. People say it's too tame but it was made that way for a reason
Lol, it was thrilling and kind of scary for me. Closed my eyes a few times. I just can't take heights. Coasters like MForce and dragster would probably have me blacking out.
Steve same!
Steve yeah ok
Agreed. Not everyone enjoys those "extreme thrill rides" so this one is perfect for those just to have fun. Also a good "first time" coaster or a warm up coaster. I enjoyed it. Its supposed to be a family ride.
iron dragon kinda my favorite coaster ngl
My recommendations for first timers at this park what to ride
1. Mine Ride: Really easy and timid, good for showing what a roller coaster is like.
2. Iron Dragon: Taller, with a strait drop thats typical of any coaster. Twisty elements are fun.
3. Blue Streak: Not very tall, good to get used to feeling of airtime.
4. Corkscrew: First inversion. Really only ride once since it's so rough.
5. Gemini: All around good ride, bit taller than the others.
6. Magnum: Basically a giant out and back, with moderate-high intensity, good airtime, and pretty thrilling.
7. Millennium Force: Very smooth, speed is awesome, good airtime, very comfortable seats.
8. GateKeeper: Good starter B&M. Very smooth, thrilling, and not to intense with the elements.
9. Wicked twister: Launch is fun, shuttle experience is a bit strange though.
10.Rougarou: Smooth intense layout, but not insane. Floorless trains are an interesting feeling.
11. Raptor: Very intense, fast, and powers through elements. Only ride this after the others.
12. Maverick: Most intense ride in the park, despite small size. Good airtime, hauls ass, transitions can be pretty intense, second launch is awesome.
13. Dragster: Feeling of speed is unreal. Feels like you're on a space shuttle.
14.: Mean Streak: Avoid at all costs. Horribly rough and painful.
I didn't find Meanstreak Horribly Rough I found it smooth for a wood coaster It is what it Is,,,,now magnum Feels like I Hit My Bladder and smashed it,,,,magnum is always a walk On
The Blue Streak is fast but very uncomfortable since there is barely any space in the seat
It's not even remotely "smooth for a wood coaster". I can only assume you haven't been on many. But yes, I agree that Magnum is just as bad these days.
deathrooster14 lol, the funny thing is 1-6 is actually what I'm going on, in the correct order 😂😂
blue streak is the rough one. I avoid riding that one
This was my first favorite coaster. Beautiful scenery. Hope it sticks around for a very very long time.
This is my break in coaster, to prepare me for the big ones. I LOVE IT.
i rode this like 100 times, and to me its still entertaining to watch.
is it scary?
+Jayla Brown no its kind of fun
+Jayla Brown the ride that is scary is top thrill dragster
Elijah Ewing haha thanks. Im going to cedar point tomorrow thats why i asked
This is my fav ride at cp (Cedar Point)
I rode on this exact iron dragon ride in Sandusky! I don't remember much but it definitely was fun
Rode this 30 years ago when I was about 13-14 years old. Was a fun ride!
This is, in my opinion, the best starter coaster for beginners!
This is one of my favorite rides at the park! Awesome for those who are new to coasters.
Screw u if u call this one of the best in the park u clearly haven't been on any good rides bitch
Gemini is too
+L.A.Gamer FTW I said this was one of MY favorites. You don't have to be a dick about it.
Sweet cuz I've always been scared of them and I'm going tomorrow to try to get over the fear
+L4Z3RM4N D4NN7 4 sorry I got a notification on this my friend stole my iPad Sorry about that
This was my first roller coaster! It was so much fun.
For old times sake my brother and I ride this every time we go to cp. We’ve been riding it since we were kids and now we’re getting too old to ride anything but this. Lol
This is one of my all time favorite rides at cedar point I love it so much it is so relaxing and love the way it rocks back and forth and you feel the mist of the water I ride it over and over throughout the day it is just one of the best coasters
Who else watches this knowing that this, the Mine Ride, and Wildcat were our step up from Kiddy Kingdom. The year we rode on those three rides…the following year we conquered Corkscrew, and Gemini, and even the Demon Drop. Once those were ridden we got to hop on Raptor, Mantis, Magnum, Millenium, then finally The Dragster. But it all started with this ride right here.
I went here when I was 7 and my first roller coasters was the millennium force. It's not for the first timers but it's so fun
Went there once when I was 8,this was the newest attraction. This was the last coaster we rode before we left.Loved the Gemini and the Corkscrew, the bobsled coaster was pretty cool too.Wasnt getting anywhere near that dreaded "Demon Drop"!loL
This or Blue Streak will be my first ever roller coaster when I go to Cedar Point next month :)
Start with this than go on blue streak
When I had gotten to cedar point and rode iron dragon, it was my first suspended coaster since I was four and riding big bad wolf and BG Williamsburg. I remember big bad wolf fondly and when I got off this ride, I teared up a bit because of nostalgia of big bad wolf.
This coaster brings back memories. Ceader Point is the first amusment park I've ever been too. And the Iron Dragon is the first real rollar coaster I ever rode. I think I rode it 3 or 4 times that day.
The first coaster I went on was millennium force... (I'm on my moms account)
This was one of my first Cedar Point coasters, and it is still one of my favorites!
I know that this video is old because i can see the mantis in the backround (r.i.p mantis)
1T4Cproductions You know the ride is still there right? They put new trains on it and gave it a new name but is essentially the same ride.
I took my nephews to CP every year for their birthdays when they were in their early teens. One year we’d ride Iron Dragon, then walk to Mine Ride, then back to Iron Dragon, ... We all had a great time, but Uncle Bob was pretty worn out at the end of the day. ❤️
for top thrill dragster virgins, this is the coaster you ride before you walk to the drag strip. when you swing out along the strip, you get that mysterious view of it and your heart really pumps. then you walk over and ride it and it's so thrilling the first time.
Iron dragon is boring
YASSSSSS I LOVE IRON DRAGON!!!!! who else
I
V
YASSS QUEEN
Its boring make it intense
@@ArrowThrills it's a family coaster?
@@funy1227 just saying if it was a little faster the pacing would be better
I was terrified of heights as a kid (still am), but this ride is great for people afraid of the bigger ones. This, blue streak and the mine ride were the only ones I'd ride when I was a kid. Start there then work your way up. X)
This is a very good starter ride and it's fun, it's the first roller coaster I ever went on
this is definitely a good ride for first timers who are scared of roller coasters. when i was little this was the only coaster besides wildcat i could handle and i loved it so much. now that i got over my roller coaster fear it feels too tame for me lol
Thanx for uplaoding all of these Cedar Point POV's :
I went on this at dusk, very positive memory with my brother. Its better at night.
first roller coaster ive ever been on, such a fun ride
The first drop scared the living crap out of me but I love this ride for first time people 👌👌
I sti love the coaster. It's oddly relaxing to me. It must be a beautiful ride in the fall though with all the colors on the trees
This ride helped me not be afraid of rolller coasters
I love this ride.
The park needs rides like this because not everyone can handle the bigger coasters. This and the Mine Ride are great for first timers and kids.
Honestly this is my favorite Cedar Point coaster. Between this and Gemini, that’s all I need.
My first roller coaster ever, good memories
THIS RIDE IS AWSOME LOVE IT
Nice and relaxing coaster, was my first one and I think it's perfect for first-timers
Make it faster
My favorite roller coaster (third one that I have been on in my life) 7/31/19
My first cedar point coaster! I went on this, the mine coaster, and corkscrew! I had a blast, I can't wait to go again!
Ive only been to Cedar Point once and everyone said this one is the best but it was raining when i went so they closed it but i did go on the mine ride and the corkscrew and the raptor
mine too! I love this thing!
The iron dragon was my first roller coaster as well
Posting this as I'm waiting in line for the millennium force
My fist coster at ceder point was mavrick
Every time I see this I wish BG kept BBW just a good chill coaster perfect for first timers.
My first rollercoaster.
My favorite roller coaster I'm going tomorrow and it is always the first and the last ride I always go on (:
this is one of the only roller coasters at cedar point I'm not scare to death riding on 👌
my second favorite roller coaster next to the valravn.
valravn is overhyped
My first coaster there was Mean Streak last year. Going again August 7 and 8
Iron Dragon is my favorite coaster at Cedar Point
Yeaaaaa!!! It’s sooo amazin
My top surprise when I went to Cedar Point in 2013. Didn't expect much of this after riding almost everything else in the park, but the swinging carts gave it a smooth edge. (Not as smooth as the wonderful Millenium Force and Gatekeeper though).
Most dissapointing ride? Maverick, which just was way to rough for me and I kept banging my head against the protection-thingies (but it sure has a very good surprise in it though!).
The only coaster I rode last year. I'm a little bitch when it comes to coasters but this one is so fun. The only thing that gets me are the drops. Can anyone recommend more tame coasters like this for when I go again so I know ahead of time?
Zelda Aclone I'm the same way I can't do big drops. I would say try the cork screw but that is a medium drop. I hope they don't get rid of the Iron Dragon because not everyone can do big drops.
Queen gingin thanks. I'll keep it in mind
i hear you on that one. i went here for my senior trip and couldn't even do the chair lift lol. i did go on the mine ride its kinda at the far end of the place its not too bad i actually kinda liked it now that i start thinking about it. oh dear, i'm rambling again sorry. how far do you live from erie pennsylvania? cause i'd suggest going to a small little theme park called Waldameer. i love that place i go every year with the fam. they have a ok sized coaster called the Comet its wooden so don't sit in the back cause you'll get beat up. they have a Haunted coaster too i don't know what there called. it has spoopy things and a couple dips. hope this helped sorry for the essay. lol
AnthonyB's Channel thanks for the info! I live about 45 mins or so from there. Maybe I'll check it out this summer. I was considering riding the mine ride and the Gemini next time i go to cedar point cause I've heard they arent that bad. My friends wanna get me on some of the bigger coasters like the gatekeeper and the raptor. It'll definitely take some time for me to work up to those haha.
Zelda Aclone the mine ride is my personal favorite it's best to ride at night
This was my very first rollercoaster when i was 11😁
I loved this ride
My favorite ride
When I rode this last June and I realized that u came to the part where u ride right by Top Thrill Dragster, I shouted, "DRAAAAAAAGSTEEEEEEEEEER!!!!!!"
I rode iron dragon today and it was really fun.
This was my first roller coaster.
This one was my favorite when I was younger
I came for bo3 news but oh well I'll watch this as well.
Omg I'm 11 and when I went a couple weeks ago my sister begged me to get on this I was to scared but after 1 ride I wouldn't stop riding!! Lol my favorite one
This is my favourite !!
This is my favorite ride I probbally will go Sunday May 6
The iron dragon is the best ride ever!!!
first time I went to ceder point I was scared of everything and then I rode this thing and I couldn't stop rideing it
Since I'm a first time roller coaster rider and I'm scared of heights should I ride this when I go to cedar point if I'm scared of heights
Yeah it's awesome!!
Camryn Cook This ride is awesome. The hills will get your stomach still, but the height is not bad and the swaying is fun.
Camryn Cook They r safe hun , i wouldn't sweat it u'll have a blast n who knows maybe u won't be scare of heights when u get off the coaster :) !
Camryn Cook you only ever are at a suspended high point for a few sec so any coaster is recomended
It's not even bad. Trust me
Wasn't there a loop in this roller coaster in the 90s? My brother and I both remember a loop that went right over the sidewalk
my favorite ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm not a fan of heights in the least, Iron Dragon is my kind of coaster. Though, I remember it being slightly rough when I rode it last.
Great rides
Sweet pov!
They should replace these cars with open bottom ones like the Raptor. The ride itself is pretty tame, but it would be more interesting if your legs dangled from the seat.
Thank you for letting us see this and I’m exited to go on it on Wednesday! If anyone whats to ask me how it was I will let you know.
Cool!
This ride is my bae
I went on this 8/29, and just as a forewarning for those of you who plan to ride...THERE ARE NO STORAGE BINS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE LOADING STATION! If you have any loose articles with you, please be sure to have someone in your group stay behind to hold your stuff if you don't want to rent a locker. Or think of something else. I was wearing personal headphones that day because of an aural condition of mine, and because there was no storage bin when I boarded, I had no choice but to wear them on the ride. Luckily, I strained my neck just enough to barely keep the headphones on, but it took away from the fun. So be EXTRA careful when wearing loose articles!
Magnum is the tallest rollercoaster in the world
since 26 years
Kinda ka is the tallest
First drop I was like *this is a big boi drop*
i remember the first time i rode this when i was at the top i said "I'm fine." right when it started to drop i screamed to death.
Same omg haha
this was my first coaster ever! I love it
Looks better than The Bat over at Kings Island. Here the trees are closer and I like the ending above the misty pond. The Bat needs better theming. However, I still like Big Bad Wolf better...but sadly, that coaster doesn't exist any more. It seems like these suspended coasters are slowly disappearing. It is a shame as I like them better than inverted coasters, but I can see why inverted coasters are better because you can have inversions which you can't have on a suspended coaster.
I got on that it's so fun and kinda scary
+queen bossey no it's a roller coaster for a person who has never ride one before it only goes about 55 mph
First roller coaster
When did this stop running with fog?
Cool
For its height and speed, this ride actually hauls some butt.
Lol
my first big ride
+Tonja Nutter this wasn't my first but the first rollar coaster i went on was the blue streak
Mine was #Thunder Road" that they demolished for a pool and A slide Complex even though a majority of people wanted it to Stay
******(ThunderRoad) Carowinds 1976-2015
#springtrap freak productions the iron dragon was my second it was stupid auto correct
Springtrap Freak Productions iron dragon was my second ride but blue streak was my FIRST...STPID AUTO CORRECT...
oh my
I've been in that ride
I was just in that a few weeks ago
I rode this and melinum force
This was my first roller coaster when I was 4 years old 6 years ago me 10 now
They should lower the hight restriction to make it more of a family coaster
i have a brother thats never been on a roller coaster before and were going to cedar point in 7 days would this be a good start out or no if not witch one?
I think the Mine Ride is a better coaster to start out with then this one.
For a second, I felt like throwing up.....Afraid of heights. Cool ride, though.
It's kinda like an average Arrow Mine if it was inverted
hey guys can anyone tell me if this ride gose upside down i cant tell in vid, because im going to cedar point next sunday
Nah it doesn't, I've been on it, super fun tho
carowinds needs to invest in a suspended coaster
Doubtful, as there are only 4 or 5 of this type of roller coaster left in the entire world.
That's impossible, the manufacturer of this ride has bee defunct for quite a while.
The shining 1980 they could invest in the company and buy rights to Arrow Dynamics rollercoasters and put it in, but its gonna take quite awhile to do so.
They could have Vekoma build something like this.
This looks so much slower than Vortex!
