Back in 2020, in the mids of the Covid crisis, lockdowns and all the stress that comes with it, I think the release of Final Fantasy VII Remake was a bit like a light on the other side of the tunnel to me.
It was the game that allowed me and my gf to taste a glimps of freedom, exploring Midgard and its slums, and meeting wonderful characters (Aerith FTW !!!!!).
It was the experience that brought me happiness and excitement at the time I needed it the most, and it has not left me unchanged !! (Btw I'm waiting for the 2nd part like crazyyyy)
About a year and half later, on a very last minute thought, I managed to book tickets for the Final Fantasy VII Remake Orchestral Tour in Paris (December 9th 2020, precisely).
I remember the very first notes of the concert were the harp arpeggios from the title screen and my gf instantly teared up. That was such a big moment !!
The concert was pure ear candy, conducted by Arnie Roth, who's been conducting Nobuo Uematsu's Final Fantasy orchestra concerts for yeaaaars now !
And suddenly, this song happened. Hollow, orchestral version. Speechless.
So ... I'd like to give credits to whom it belongs to. This orchestral arrange was heavily inspired by the live performance I heard that day.
This (re?)arrange was made with two of my best and trusted music friends and Final Fantasy fans Marc Papeghin, on the Horns and Trumpets, and Pernelle on who helped me on the Choirs and Flutes.
Please give them the warm welcome they deserve !
We all put all our heart and love for Final Fantasy in this song.
Lastly, this song is meant to be listened to, with your eyes closed. This is also why the video is very minimalistic.
Get a nice spot to sit, and let yourself get lost in the sound.

I went to the VII Remake world tour in London. Was expecting to enjoy some of the more well known tunes the most, then then they did this orchestral arrangement of Hollow. Blew me away, the vocalist was amazing, honestly probably the highlight of the concert for me. It tops the original version of the song for sure. So it’s awesome to hear this rendition again. ^.^
Imagine this played in Part 3, in a scene where Cloud meets Aeris a final time in the lifestream and manages to cast holy to prevent the Meteor from destroying the Planet, sending Sephiroth and Jenova to be defeated and meet their end…
This entire rendition is ASTONISHING. The vocals were incredible and perfectly matched with the instrumental. This arguably hit me harder the original. Particularly the vocals. I’m so damn surprised whenever a cover makes me love not just a song more, but the source material of the song as well. This cover increased my love of Final Fantasy VII. WHAT?!
Thankyou for bringing such a complex yet amazingly emotional piece.
That was a great honor to be involved in it with you and Marc because I respect both of you at a very high degree.
I keep listening to the cover and it still extracts tears to my eyes every single time. Deeply, you've done a wonderful job here, as you always do but... You know this one has a special meaning so...!

Achei esse vídeo por acaso, você tem uma belíssima voz. Essa musica toca meu coração toda vez que ouço, e conhecendo a historia e o destino dos personagens, ouvir ela depois daquela cena memorável será uma experiência dolorosa. É uma pena ver que muitos não entendem o significado dessa letra, mas acho que é pessoal de cada um, de todas as musicas com vocais, Too Much Is Never Enough e Hollow são minhas favoritas. Irei salvar o vídeo para ouvir mais vezes. 😊

I bet the whole "memories" thing will be such a mindblower when this game series comes to an end... and make replaying the games even better..
From what I learned each time Blonde-Zack has a headache the Jenova Cells in his brain actively rewrite his memories. And in the Remade Zack Game they removed a whole big important part of the game and turned it into a slideshow because apparently everyones memories of that have been altered probably by Jenova.
FF7 Remake was Sephiroth breaking free from Jenovas Control asking for Cloud to join him.. in that moment 7 seconds before the planet is being destroyed.. but why and for what is unclear since nobody knows what Sephiroth wants to do when he is not affected by Jenova Cells..
According to the initial info.. before his Jenova cells were activated he was just a very strong and ok guy..
Clouds love for Aerith is the memories Zack imprinted on Cloud when he died (and possibly their time together in the soups already mixing their memories)..
So the next part will be about the Rebirth of the "Real Clouid" just as Sephiroth was freed from Jenova cells Blonde-Zack will finally be rid of Jenova cells and again become the Tifa-Loving Cloud.
Damn... I so so so so so so wish for this to be a happy ending.. for once do not freak up game writing just to make it edgy or just to not give it a "happy ending".. in times like these a Happy Ending is exactly what we need..
Zack and Aerith be together. Cloud and Tifa rebuild 7th Heaven and make it a place for Mercs like Zack n Cloud.. they will find a way.. the Planet needs to be rid of Jenova.. and then you can expand the world by introducing the Aliens who built Jenova (she clearly is a biological weapon to conquer a planet)
Calling Cloud "Blonde-Zack" is not only a huge disrespect for his character but a clear indication that you really didn't understood his arc at all.

Dude this song is literally a uematsu idea of Cloud and aerith relationship and is over everything she is the savior of Cloud, and maybe cloud will save her too in the part 3...
