Yea it was a recording from the world tour they did a few months ago! They did Hollow there and someone recorded it, so I mixed it with the original version and some covers from other great musicians I mentioned in the description

When you used the dialogue and scenes in a way that made it seem like Cloud was trying to shake himself out of his catatonic state and wake up. That gave me goosebumps.

I literally don’t think any edit, amv, anything like that, could possibly top this. The masterful edits to the song just make the emotions so much more powerful. The clips and voices are used at literally such perfect moments. The back half, the sword editing as the song picks up, just wonderful. Couldn’t ask for anything more perfect.

Maybe Crisis Core Reunion feat. Hollow? Or something similar would be so nice. You got so much talent for this stuff and more people need to know of this quality of ff7 music videos somehow.
My interpretation from what I get from this song is more about Cloud still grieving from the lost of his mom and his shattered mind trying to piece himself back together but unable to. Hollow is Cloud's way of coping with everything by stripping himself of any attachments for anyone. Feeling nothing for no one but only for himself due to his past traumas.
It's not about Cloud's mother, it was proven to be about Cloud's feelings for Aerith, it even plays in her sector 5 slums when she left his side for awhile during a quest.
Cloud isn't anybody's puppet. His gentle, anxious heart, his fragile mind and uncertain path generate muse like a refined, well carved and familiar tune from a timeless music box. Someone priceless is gone from your life, vanishing as quickly as they came, leaving behind an irreconcilable sadness and an endless question mark. This is harrowingly, reminiscent of the grief we feel over someone who committed suicide.
Can you post a video of the mix you ended up making of all the various versions of the song. This is actually really cool. The entire video is great with great transitions, both from an editing, but also the dialogue. However I am really enjoying the way you mixed the various music.
I really believe this is about Tifa, when she brings Cloud’s real self back. He longs for her when they’re apart. But it depends because this can be about Aerith if you’re a Clerith. It’s a general song not necessarily specifically about a specific pairing, just evoking a specific emotion. I think it’s Tifa because He’s hollow and howling before she pieces him back
