    Thank you! I just love this video for the crochet rounds, it works *every* time.
    I start my round off a bit different. (I’m not at the magic circle point yet, working on it though.)
    But I can pick right up with you after you’re done the magic circle. I really appreciate the advice about “how to know if the number of stitches are off” and the advice at the end “how to avoid the ripple / wave”.
    Before I had done a few projects with 20 rounds (rows) and they looked horrible. 🙀😩😕
    I was using patterns quite different than this and past the fifth round they would start looking dodgy. Now it truly is a ‘perfect’ circle.
    Thank you very much for sharing this.

    Just started a Ravelry project page to help me keep track of my progress. Picked colors for the polka dots from stash; about half the colors are Red Heart Super Saver, plus 1 color each in Red Heart with Love, Herrschners' Village Yarn Worsted, and vintage Caron Dazzleaire. Haven't picked a border color yet; brown or white I can do from stash, but I like the grey you used, too, and can get grey Red Heart Super Saver locally.

    I have been waiting for this. But my husband passed away unexpectedly 25 days ago. He was only 47. I put the last afghan I crocheted in his casket. I just can't even think of crochet right now. But I know everyone's blankets will be beautiful.

      Christa, I am really trying to do this. It's so hard since I lost my husband. But my circles are only 5 inches. So I want to make my blanket bigger. How many circles should I make? 6 of each color is going to be too small. So, do I make 8, 10...?

    Christa can you say how large the circle and the finished squares are?
    I crochet blankets for charity, but they have specific sizes, so if I know how large the circle and square will be I can calculate how many circles I have to make.

    • @SecretYarnery
      @SecretYarnery  6 лет назад

      Hi, Monique! A lot depends on your yarn, hook, and tension. Mine are about 6" across, with a finished square being 9 1/2".

    • @moniquep.341
      @moniquep.341 6 лет назад

      The Secret Yarnery thanks, now I can check how large mine will be when I have a circle.
