I am actually a teenager looking to learn to crochet during these uncertain times of covid 19. This is a great video to me and it’s helped me learn to start a little bit,
Made 4 so far and absolutely love it! Easiest, best tutorial I've found so far. Especially with using a bigger crochet for the first row, like how does no one else does this? its the smartest.
For many years I’ve wanted to learn how to crochet, but was always intimidated. My mother was an artist and could seemingly pick up any new type of craft in an instant - and be great at it. Not me. I’m a perfectionist, which leads me to procrastinate. Well, I recently inherited a ton of yarn, hooks, etc., and so figured it’s time to get passed my insecurities regarding whether I’ll be able to get the hang of it or not. Very happy to have found your channel. You have a nice, upbeat (without being annoying personality). I’m going to start tonight. Can’t think of a more enjoyable way to spend a Friday night, seriously! Thank you! 😊🌸
AWE!nnThanks so much, Annie Em!! You can DO IT! If you want to learn more, I have begun a new beginner series that you will be interested in: bit.ly/3mTofkI Let me know how you like it! 🌻✨🎀
Crochet is something I've stayed away from because it seemed so complicated, but your explanations make it seem so simple! I'm buying some crochet hooks and yarn with my next paycheck 😁
This is a great pattern. I have made it three times; once in a variegated red, once in a variegated blue and now in a self striping. Your calming voice and easy pattern has helped me through my daughter's illness. Thank you!
Your tutorials are the best. They are so easy to follow. Working on my scarf as well speak. I have been sitting on a hobby that to you and a friend of mine Kavita I have reignited my hobby.

Putting the yarn scraps out for the birds is not a good thing to do, the fine fibres get injected by the birds, that in turn get stuck in the gullet then they die
I am excited to start this . I've been working on your twisted headbands and also your granny squares you are a wonderful teacher. Thank you for your patience.🧶
This is the first time I saw that type of join .I really do like it. Thank you for the lesson . I enjoyed your video. You really taught me some things. It was fun.
That chain on method seems absolutely perfect for when you are crocheting in the round! I was just trying to crochet a cowl last night and it wasn’t working out, found this video, now I know I can do it with that chain method
I've been looking for a simple infinity scarf to make and boom you have made a tutorial on one. I am now making one for my neices and my sister.Thank you for the great tutorial Christa!!!
This is a fabulous tutorial! I have been searching for ages for a video that shows the tapering in the first row as I always end up with a hole in my stitches at this point, but this fills in everything nicely. Thank you for taking the time to post.

This was an awesome video! You answered every question I had when I first started crocheting. I had to learn the answers from watching many videos and you have combined it all in one video! Especially the hiding of the knots. Well done!
Thank you for this tutorial, fantastic scarf, I think I have ended with a twist always do, but not taking it out, I have learned so much from you in this one tutorial, an have been crocheting for many years. I have liked an subscribed, thank you.
I love the way you explain this tutorial. You took time show what to do if there is a mistake wonderful. I'm send this to my church members that want learn to crochet. Thanks again.
That’s great advice on how to handle a twist in a chain I’m not a beginner but always reluctant to do a bunch of chains then find a twist. I usually do short row Infinity’s and seam at the end but they take ages to do 😊 so I’ll try that maybe I won’t avoid them as much. That’s pretty colors too
Thank you for your tutorials. I just learned how to crochet during this pandemic and have made a couple of hats and scarves already. Just had to learn how to change the colors. Thank you for the instructions. I love those colors.
This video was amazing! I have crocheted a little in the past but always struggled with my tension and how to tell if I'm in the correct loop. You made this so clear and I actually can't wait to start making things again!
@the secret yarnery I have fallen in love with you infinity scarf design!!! I have made 2 going 3 scarfs now. But I have a little problem I have two beautiful nieces. 7 & 8 years old and I want to make them each a scarf but I don't know how many chains I need for the base. Could you please help me???!!! Thank you so much for the tutorial and in advance for the advise. 💕
I lIke your gradual finish. I am making a headscarf shawl whatever now and will use that to finish. Thanks again. Having a difficult time waiting for the circle afghan. Blessing!
Love your tip for keeping the long base chain straight. Also, I like the magic knot idea and the way you increased the height and decreased the height with half-double stitches.

Nice easy to follow pattern thank you for sharing this with us and making it so easy to follow along with you, where do you get your yarn (secret yarnery on the ball band) I couldn't see it anywhere 😊 what yardage are those balls of yarn please?
I realized mine was twisted after the first round I can’t figure out how to prevent that. I did the same thing you did but mine still ended up twisted. How can I prevent this or fix it ? Do you have to start all over ?
Does it matter what weight yarn you use? I can't find any place in the tutorial that says what weight yarn you used. Does using a smaller weight yarn make the loop smaller? I used 3 weight yarn with a 6 mm hook (7 mm for the chain), and I am not certain it will be large enough to drop down low enough on the chest. I am 2/3 of the way through, and am getting ready to fasten my last color. With the loop laid flat, it is 29-30 inches long. Any help would be appreciated. I have recently taken up crocheting again after learning as a teen. Also, I am not against starting over if need be.

Hi Krista How wide was your scarf? Is there a average with for an infinity scarf? I am making one dc across 30 stitches but was not sure of a good width or even length. I will fold in half and slip stitch to close when I get it long enough. Barbara Thank you:)
Thanks for this tutorial! Although I think I messed up a bit because my work ended up twisted instead of flat. But you don't really notice it once you put it on haha.

Thank you for showing something beautiful I can make as an absolute beginner. You do a wonderful job showing how to do it! Great video!
I love that you mentioned your scraps for the birds! We have done that for years and love spotting the nests, especially the hummingbirds!
Putting the yarn scraps out for the birds is not a good thing to do, the fine fibres get injected by the birds, that in turn get stuck in the gullet then they die
Also most yarn is some variety of acrylic or acrylic blend. That;s a cute word for plastic. I'll let you finish that thought.
TLDR: DO NOT DO THIS

hmm i used same size yarn/hook and chains, but doing just hdc for the whole scarf. mine looks smaller than yours tho 🤔 or does the thickness of the scarf just make it look longer?
Will this work if I used triple stitches?
"wrap your yarn" also shows in most patterns as "YO" for 'Yarn Over' or... yarn over your hook
Great job , beautiful

So if i just want my scarf to be one color would one 482 yard skien of yarn work?
If I use a bulky yarn and make less chains, does it matter how many chains since I go in a circle?
Yours is the first tutorial that fixed my issue of getting tangled. Any tips on keeping my scarf from curling?
Hi, IAmQNYC!! Curling is natural. But if you don't want it to curl, All you have to do is 2 or 3 rows of double crochet on both sides after you are finished - working into the BACK side of your scarf. That will flatten it out completely. ;) 🌻🌺🌼

What size yarn are you using, is it a 4 ply worsted yarn
Hi. Do you have to use 3 balls of yarn? Or can you use 1 ball of yarn that is self striping?
Does it matter what weight yarn you use? I can't find any place in the tutorial that says what weight yarn you used. Does using a smaller weight yarn make the loop smaller? I used 3 weight yarn with a 6 mm hook (7 mm for the chain), and I am not certain it will be large enough to drop down low enough on the chest. I have recently taken up crocheting again after learning as a teen. Also, I am not against starting over if need be.
What would you reduce it to for a kids scarf?
If I want to make this in a DK yarn how many chains should I start from please ?
What happens if it twists after I already combined it?
Is th eyarn you are using a #4 weight yarn? Thanks so much. :)
