Very helpful video but I ran into one issue that I want others to know about. If you can’t seem to twist the new bulb in at the end, it might because you have the old rubber ring from the previous light. Make sure to remove that ring because your new light has its own!
Super clear instructions with good detail. I'll reiterate what others have said about making sure to remove the old seal after removing the old bulb (it stays stuck to the plastic frame). Also be careful not to touch the bulb or hit it. Just replaced mine and was super easy. Thanks again for the nice clear video!
Thank you! Single mom & I did it in minutes because of your video. I'm sure I saved a ton of money from some mechanic shop ripping me off. Thanks again :)
Ty! Easiest bulb change ever! Worth noting that the old bulb’s rubber gasket may be stuck in place. It took me a couple minutes to realize as I couldn’t push/spin new bulb in place. Pulled old gasket off and went right in and around. Ty. One like for you and one for Chevy!
Thnx this video helped greatly! Lol although changing the bulb in our beloved Canada weather is the worst. Anyways for those of you wondering how to have more room on the driver side, all you have to do is pull up the washer hose fluid pipe and put it back in when you’re done.
Change bulbs on cars many times is not hard but very simple, the thing is that people are so lazy that when a bulb is burn it, people prefer to leave it like that than try to changed.
Needed help on how to actually unclip the bulb but also seen another comment about removing the old rubber ring as well! Great video thanks for helping 👌😊
Thanks a lot for this, simple tutorial with no time wasted. Mine burned out on the driver side first and it's crammed in by the wiper fluid so I couldn't see if there was another clip on the bottom.
This is great. Just one thing I would like to add that happened to me... twice. There is a red seal that comes with it. Unfortunately, I've changed mine twice and both times the old seal was stuck on the mount. So I'm trying to put the new one on not realizing I need to pull off the old seal. After struggling with it I studied it and then saw the new seal embedded in the new part, and compared it to the old one, that's when i realized the old seal was still there stuck and needed to be peeled off the mount. The second time I forgot so after trying to install the new one and it not going on easy I remembered.
Johnnatheman happened to me too! Drove me crazy trying to figure out why the new bulb wouldn’t lock in to the headlight housing. After I finally removed the leftover red rubber gasket, it was a piece of cake.
This got me started. But connector wouldn't come off that easy. Finnally priyed it off with screw driver. Comments helped me with old gasket needs to be removed.
Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you. I hope your pillow is always fluffed and cool and that you always get the seats you want at concerts before they sell out/fill up.

I just need to know how to take out the adapter??? From the bulb itself. Thank you! I should be able to replace mine with a brighter light than the factory kind.
I know your comment is older, but just has to watch this to change the bulb for my dad. I would have to say that when I went for the brighter bulb he shows me the expected hours for it. It was only 700. The ones I ended up getting where the 1500hr and it was the same one the car had in it. Since my dad uses the auto lights they will need the extended time - plus he doesn’t drive far (about a mile) after dark, if at all. Something to consider. I got with brighter bulbs myself, because I am driving in the dark on backroads with no street lights.
What if the clips are broke on my headlight pigtail will it make the light not come on untill you push it in again and it is arching cause it smells burnt????
Hi, Good day bro, There's a concern I'm facing. The concern is that there's a delay when I shift between high and low beam light for alarming the driver in front of me to shift aside or alarming walking people. This delay appears when I'm trying to fast flash/blinking the high beam light. Is that related to the control timer on the right side of light control under the steering wheel or what. Waiting for your advise. Regards.
12/2021, I called dealership and Chevrolet wanted $39 for (2)..lol..I looked on Amazon and Walmart, $19.95 for (2) Sylvania..Walmart delivered both today. Takes 10 minutes. **NOTE FIRST BEFORE BUYING BULBS, the fuse, 10 Amp under hood. If one bulb is out , switch right bulb fuse over to left. If light works that was out, a fuse, if not, buy 2 bulbs, yes 2. Keep one that works for spare. BTW, my fuse #37 for 2012 Chevrolet cruze ls
alan peralta its just a little tab, if you go to the parts store and ask, maybe they have one to sell. If not, the tab that you press down to take off the connector after you remove the tab should be sufficient enough to hold the connector on.
Much harder on the left side as there is much less room to fit your hand in there and to get a good grip on the bulb as first time changing it its much harder. I'm replacing it second time now after 7 years so will see if it's still harder to get it out.
Sorry if i'm too late. Anyway, bulb on my Cruze should not be twisted to take it off. Not sure if it's because i'm in EU. It has a rubber protection on the rear end from rain or any other fluid. So i gently pulled the rubber part, to get below it where there were 2 wire clippings on each side, which hold the bulb in place in the headlight housing. Pulling the clip backwards and to the side releases the pressure on the clip. Did the same on the other side. Bulb then slides out real simple. WHen you're returning it, to get proper of the clip, you can help yourself by looking from the front of the car through the headligh glass. Hope it helps for all the people with this kind of headlights.
It's damn near impossible. I'm not getting any willing or anything. My driver side bulb blew, but I'm sorely not able to take the bulb out even after removing the clip.
Is it really that easy? Im a guy who...well...lets just say im not mechanically inclined. Ive had to replace different types of light bulbs on different vehicles and my ford focus was a PAIN!!! It would be wonderful if its really this easy

This was golden info
Thank you!! This was exactly why I couldn’t install my new light
I wish I read this before replacing mine. I spent so long trying to figure out why the new one wouldn't go into place LOL I finally figured it out
Bruhhh lol it’s the little things

MY HERO. Thank you!!
I was trying to find out how to maneuver around it.
That thing is glued! Couldn't move it for nothing
Just did this on a -14°F Minnesota evening and didn't realize I could move that, but was able to maneuver around it okay. Good tip!
Thank you !
OMGOODNESS!!! Thank you so much! So simple even I can do that!!!! Yay!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🙋🏻♀️

Thanks for the help, it changed fine. The Autozone guy did warn against not touching the new bulb glass.
Thanks ... I am pretty clueless when it comes to cars and this made it so easy.

Totally true! Happened to me, too. So glad you shared the tip!!!
Yes! This tip was perfect for my vehicle also. Thank you!
This got me started. But connector wouldn't come off that easy. Finnally priyed it off with screw driver. Comments helped me with old gasket needs to be removed.
Don’t touch the new bulb with your fingers! Touch the black plastic piece, not the bulb. I learned this the hard way! Great video
Thank you! That was a great step by step!
This was very helpful. Only my middle green piece is not coming off after pulling the first grey tab out like you've demonstrated in the video. 😢
We had to use a screwdriver to slowly (very slowly and carefully) to remove it… was super stuck !
Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you. I hope your pillow is always fluffed and cool and that you always get the seats you want at concerts before they sell out/fill up.

Excellent. Worked out great. Thank you.
Thanks so much! I'm going to give this a try today.
This is so much easier than my old pontiac wtf 😂😂 thank you!
Thank you so much! Quick & easy
Thanks! Exactly what I needed.
Straight to the point. Thank u
Super easy thanks for the video
very helpful for the passenger side light. This light on the driver side is something else
Thank you saved a trip to a mechanic
Thanks for this video. You saved me some $$$.
There is a seal that u should take off as the new bulb will have 1 with it
Thank you good job!
Let’s see you do the drivers side
Thank you so much!!!

Thanks man for the tutorial
Thanks bud!

Is it just me or am I the only person who's wiring harness is seized on the old bulb??? Like you just disconnected it so easily my shit will not budge
You're not the only one!!
Mine too lol
Same :(
Mine does that too
Thank you!
What if the clips are broke on my headlight pigtail will it make the light not come on untill you push it in again and it is arching cause it smells burnt????

Great tutorial
Thank you sir.
What is the white connector latching onto the grey socket called? I dropped the white plastic inside the engine bay.
Old comment I see but it would just be a retainer clip for anyone else needing to know, you probably found out by now.
@@MidnightMarrow- very good to know !! Thankfully I had more patience then my dad and kept at it real slow and steady (15mins😂) to remove it
Hello there o just want to ask how to replace the fog lights bulb on the same vehicle as this
Hey where do I buy that white clipper ?
I love all the women on here taking matters into their own hands. I came just to make sure. I have to change it on my girlfriends car. Lol
Whats that grey piece name
Do you change the bulb alone or the whole ensemble?
You can change out the bulb if the assembly is ok. Lots of people get a new assembly because the lens becomes scratched up/dull/broken.
How about the more complicated driver side???
For real so complicated, no space and couldn't even move the water bottle thats practically glued
Someone had commented about removing the hoses from there. Didn’t get to it yet, but it will be a project for sure !
Thank you
Do u kn if we can use h11? Or it has to be 9005?
I used H13
Did they so that little grey tab? I lost mine
Does it work with 2010 models?
Don’t you have to pack the new bulb with bulb grease? Guy at store just told me that so idk
No lmao the fuck
Okay I’m pulling so hard and my light will not budge from the connector... like idk if it’s because it’s dirty and old or what but so frustrating lol
Turn it
What did you end up doing?
U have to turn it lol
Great job
Thanks man
Awesome thanks!

Dont forget the old gasket out 1st if the new bulb contains one.
joe bambino be nice if you proof read your comment before posting. Fuck face!

How about showing the difficult one on the driver side.
Its the exact same on the drivers side (2015 cruze)
Very difficult
Does anyone know the name of the gray piece ? Or where I can get something similar to it ?

My plug was stuck. Used a little WD40 and some flathead screwdrivers to pry it off.
The Drivers Side Is Alot Harder To Change
How so?
Dont forget to take out the old gasket
I wish the Malibu was this easy.
The little red rubber o rings stayed on the cars light fixture.. won't fit new bulbs untill you remove old rings

Try that on the driver's side not that easy

My plug is STUCK!
Ty save me the labor costs.
Normally there is a rubber over it
Unfortunately in my Chevrolet Cruze 2012 it is completely different..
Stop playin, it's really that easy lol 😂
The fucking bulb is stuck
You should have told people the number on the bus
Mine did not separate that easily haha
It is not as easy for me… it won’t come apart
My wiring harness is melted onto the bulbs these Cruzes are garbage
If you don't know how to open the hood you definitely can't change the bulb
Thank you for this!
Thank you!
