Thanks man. Got a pair of LEDs coming today for my 2016 Cruze. I think the high beams aren't so good because of how low our car is. Could be wrong. Either way, these look like an improvement.
Thanks for the video!!! I have to try and wiggle the original bulb off the connector because I'm pretty sure it's the original one. Glad to know I was doing it right and needed an expert on RUclips to help :)
This really is the best way to go at it, otherwise you have to tear the bumper off just to get the headlight housing out. They really don’t make this shit easy anymore
Definitely helped me out I changed my headlight this morning that cap is a bitch taking off smh you gotta use both hands even to take the light out but got it done 👍I have a 2016 Chevy Cruze
Since installing those LED headlights have you experienced any flickering or burn outs? Just got mine delivered today along with some LED turn lights and LED backup lights.
I will need to make a tool to loosen my cap - hammer and rod did not get it. It will be a hardwood disk with 3 protruding bolts and a large center bolt to wrench it..
Super helpful video but I have a quick question. I have the 2017 chevy cruze lt and the guide says to get the h11 for the low beams but the ones we bought wouldn't fit. Would the 9005 be a better option to try?
Good luck trying to find the correct bulb size for the 2017 Cruze...lol I have the LT RS model sedan and I tried 4 local chevy dealerships and nobody knows not even using the VIN. My headlights do not look like the ones in this video, mine have LED running lamps. I was orginally told it takes H11 fogs and 9012 headlights but when I went to have them installed they said I was wrong and it takes a 9005. Well the 9005 is a high power high beam bulb so I guess Chevy configured the low beams to work with a high beam bulb which is unusual. I dont know gonna just trade it in because i cant deal with this anymore
@@MCPHILL I think it probably does, but I havent taken them out personally yet, I took it to Firestone today and was gonna have them do it and they brought me a 9005 bulb out and said it was from my car and it was totally burnt out...well the bulbs were not burnt out because they all worked, even on the way home they worked fine (they said they put the old 9005's back in)... as they said the 9012's I ordered for the headlights were wrong and the H11's I ordered for the fogs were wrong. I know the base model 2017 Cruze's have a different headlight setup than the LT RS (like mine) & Premier models have which are supposedly the projector style. From my understanding the base models have the 9005 as a high beam and H11 as a low beam and no fog lights...the LT RS and Premier use the 9012 bulb that functions as both high and low in the same bulb (projector style) and either H8's or H11's (essentially the same bulb for the fogs)...tomorrow I will try to check myself and see whats up because I just do not believe that 9005 came from my car.
@@MCPHILL Oh lol I just noticed this is your channel and I watched the video and the headlights on my cruze dont look like yours even though its exact same color and body style
@@Magnus_Magnusson_702 from what I could find it should be 9005 high beam bub and I'm guessing the car uses an actuator for your highbeam since it seems like you have a projector housing

I have a 2019 Cruze which has an led strip around the housing, led highbeams but halogen low beams. I don't really use my highbeams since I have fog lights so I am curious how they look in heavy rain situations and snow (if you know). Do you find you have more visibility?
@@MCPHILL the thing is that it did work for the high beams when I put them in but not for the low beams. (I’m currently at auto zone rn having this issue )

9005 and h11 have the same base, the h11 is going to have a little bit beam pattern and higher wattage
So did Chevy make it easy to upgrade your bulbs? It looks like plug and play with no ballasts.
Yes surprisingly lol just plug n play
@@MCPHILL thanks! I’m gonna upgrade this weekend and your video will be my manual 😝👌🏽

In the rain or bad weather you want a warm white or yellow color

There is only 2 bulbs in the whole housing. Headlight and turn signal
I was told that the low beams are H11 and the high beams are 9005. For a 2018 Chev Cruze. Is that correct?
9005 is what was in from the factory, and I replaced them with 9005 leds

Yo! you're change a replacement bulb, not headlight. Headlight is the whole assemble so you need to correct the title on this video.
