I am in the camp that uses a little gob of axel grease to make it stick in place until I get the filter and cap on. I'm not fond of the idea of throwing the chemical components of the new oil off, even a little, but I've never had any issues. Kawi should have just purpose built the spring to be attached to the filter.

We are running through a quart every 1,000 miles, no smoke or any other indication!!!! Always ran full synthetic and kept up with the maintenance. Stay away from these motors as we are now hearing a rattle under acceleration (could be the timing chain guides or even the camshaft).

The drivers side one my fiancées cap is so stuck. The user manual saying counterclockwise is not very helpful when they don’t say whether that’s CCW from the front or when you’re looking down at it (down and towards the side wall) or from the top (up and towards the sidewall) it looks like you’re doing the latter, is that actually the case or did you do it differently off camera with both hands? I may have tightened it too much going the wrong way but I’m calling it a night 😤

An alternative way to change the headlight without removing the bumper is by removing the wheel & fender liner closest to the headlight and then accessing the bulb from the bottom. Easier and quicker

My front head light cracked. Holy fuck I cried and suffer but we got it the new headlight in 👍🏼😀

Also had a daylight running lights error took it to the dealership. They said I had to replace my whole front driver headlight which was ridiculously overpriced. I did end up replacing it and the error code went away. Been having this issue for a year after I’ve gotten the 2020 Hyundai ELANTRAthe only issues I’ve had with this car seem to be electrical
