Sir, you made a great video. You hit on all the positive aspects of the knife, your comparison with the older version was extremely helpful, and you did not blather along unnecessarily. So I went and ordered one of these. Thanks.
Can't wait for one in Magnacut. I used to own the Ti Military and CF/S90V Military as well and absolutely miss them. The Military 2 is the perfect folder for those of us that like large knives for EDC, just gotta hold off until it's out in the steel I want 😅
You forgot that the Mil2 is actually selling for less than the original as well. Another problem with tip down carry is, if you're working in dirty, dusty situations, tip down carry exposes the pivot area (sitting above the pocket) to all the dust and crud. I carried one while weed eating a 5 acre lot and the pivot was so cruddy I could barely open the blade. Same thing while using my chain saw, I had to disassemble my knife to fully clean it. Tip down keeps all that dust away from the pivot area. Personally, I'm waiting for the fully serrated Mil2 before I buy (as an outdoors/woods knife), preferably it'll be available in Crucarta configuration soon.
i got very excited when these came out, because i am not a big fan of liner locks and i was stoked to see these now feature compression lock. so i promptly bought 2x of the new military 2s, but upon initial unboxing i got buyer's remorse big time. not because they are not well made awesome knives, but i find military 2 to be way too big, and i struggle to think of any scenario where i would ever carry it in my pocket. i can't see myself to ever take it and use in public for any purpose at all, it's simply way too big and way too intimidating for ordinary sheep around you.
As long as it's legal in your area you shouldn't care what other people think. And I guarantee you will get used to carrying it, I daily a Police 4 which is even bigger and never wish I had a smaller knife.
@@stillshot2100% agreed. I switch between Police 2 models, Police 3 G-10, and the Police 4 in FRN and in G-10. I love EDCing those long blades. They have quite a bit of attitude. Not worried about what the ‘fragile’ person thinks of a larger blade in public.
Sharp Dressed Knives (G10 or carbon fiber) and RC Bladeworks (many micartas) both make them. No Ti from anyone yet, but I'm sure they will come up eventually. Good luck!
Shopping for a knife and I'm surprised a knife like this can unfold inside a pocket. I thought they were tight enough that you wouldn't be able to accidentally pull it open somehow with your pocket? I'm looking for something to carry daily in my pocket.
I got the DLC coated S30V blade with camo G10 handle. Absolutely love this knife.

Me too, today I ordered the black out version. Can’t wait!

Just got a Military 2 in SV110V. Currently my edc replacing my para 2.
Great knives . Will definitely add the 2 to my collection.

I love it. I want it.
Bloody down to the point.
I took off the clip. I have the Cruwear micarta scales.

You almost completely glossed over the one major change to the M2 - the compression lock - but other than that, good video.
Anyone seen Military 4" scales out there? Plenty for the PM2/3, but can't seem to find anything for the 4" Military!

15 years in the Army and the only knife I ever used was a Buck 112 and a Leatherman.
That's such a cool story. I was so thrilled to read it.
@@deving3370 You killed me! 🤣
So it does have compression lock?
Is the Military 2's grip as boxy as the Para Military 2?
Have you guys gotten the S90V carbon fiber one yet ?
Personally, I do not like tip up, at all.
You can swap the clip tip down and tip up left or right
finally they did it!!! hauuu!!!
