  • EP Training's latest video showing off their latest edition to the fleet. It's a MAN 5 tonne training vehicle. This is the vehicle you will need to pass your driving test on if you wish to become a paramedic / gain 7.5 tonne entitlement. Thanks to Steve for the steady camera work and of course Coco the company mascot.

It's a VW crafter with a man badge. So will be a good vehicle

Never knew MAN makes vans but it must be a vw van as its same group.

How much would it realistically cost to do my c1? I went through the process of getting my class 2 but sadly failed my practical and couldn’t afford to resit. I was thinking going for the c1 might be less expensive and I wouldn’t feel like a complete failure haha.

      No such thing as class 2, only C1, C, and C+E, C1 is around £500- £700

@@jwatkins5155 C = class 2. What you on about? C + E = Class 1 and the C1 is something like Class 3, but it's usually just called a C1 7.5t licence. Class 2 is for veh over 3.5t up to 32t I believe so and Class 1 is for veh over 3.5 ton with a trailer up to 44 tons in the UK and 40 tons in all of Europe. I will be doing my C1 on the 9th of July, in a Iveco Daily 5 tonner so it should be quite easy to get through.

@@comradebismarck on your license you only have catorgys, 'classes' is an out dated term people still use but shouldn't, A bit like the imperial system

Is the experience of driving one of these enough to properly prepare you for driving a larger 7.5 tonne truck?

I would apply for a c1 license but I’m very short sighted ( like -12 and -9 prescription). Is there any way around this, could I still apply for a C1 license? I have no other medical conditions or anything.

      Hi
May I suggest you have a medical and apply for the provisional and see what DVLA say?
To find out if you can have will only cost you a medical

The C1 is abit of a joke. It's just like driving a big 7 seater car
