Great point. The dip stick is red so it stands out to the operator who may not be mechanically minded. The only reason they say warm oil is when the viscosity of the oil is higher it will flow more easily thus it will flow into the sump pan more quickly we say cold because if the engine is cold there is less chance of burns and the oil will be drained into the sump pan.
Isn't the hazard lights and indicators different fuses? Hazards might be working, but the fuse for the indicators might be gone and you suddenly find yourself with working hazards, but no Indicators.
A very good point🧐🧐. Very unusual to have a fuse for the hazard light circuit this is normally a relay or surge protection circuit. This is why you can have your hazards on with no ignition key, or a primary circuit failure. You would not pick up faults for doing it both ways.
If you get all the Show me tell questions wrong this will result in a fail (from the start). I have know for this to happen with a student that did not want to take the test but there company was making them. Very unusual. Go through the questions with your instructor before hand and you will be fine. best of luck 🤞🤞👍👍👍👍

When the vehicle has no load in it the leaf spring that supports the vehicle bends in a way that it looks like it is smiling. When the vehicle has a substantial load in it the leaf spring will then bend the other way and look like it is frowning.👍
National Driving Centre : Hi, thank you for the response, I’m in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. Another question I have is, if I have provisional entitlement for class 2, can I drive 7.5 tonne? Or would I need another medical for the different category?
I would apply for a c1 license but I’m very short sighted ( like -12 and -9 prescription). Is there any way around this, could I still apply for a C1 license? I have no other medical conditions or anything.
The best thing to do is go for an eye test with your medical professional or optician and then contact the DVLA with your results. They will then inform you of any restrictions that may need to be applied to your license. 👍👍
Once you get to a certain age you will then need to carry out a medical D4 assessment this will be on the back of your driving license and will tell you the date this will need to be carried out. DVLA will normally send you a reminder when this is due.👍
It’s a Iveco Daily. To qualify to be a C1 for a DVSA driving test it needs to be over 3.5 MAM and not exceeding 7.5 MAM. So this vehicle works perfectly.
Hi Ali, we're in South London but offer 'Train and stay' courses if interested. Drop us a call or message 👍🏼www.nationaldrivingcentre.co.uk/contact-us/
Running your bare hand along things to check for sharpe edges??? Running your bare hand around tyres??? Constantly putting your hand under wheel arches, what would happen if the vehicle suspension failed....trapping your hand? Good idea of video, however blaintant disregard for health and safety. Use the required PPE, its there for YOUR safety.
Very true, it's not the law to wear steel toe cap boots. It comes down to the risk assessment and safe systems of work for the company, because these instructors are not carrying on manoeuvring any boxes or anything that could damage their feet the risk assessment is not requiring them to wear steel toe cap boots.
@@NationalDrivingCentre No point for the High Vis vests then? Look it, I hate wearing the gear but if you're going to instruct at least set an example of what is going to be required in a working yard
Unfortunately not this vehicle is plated at 5.5MAM and there for over 3.5MAM, this makes it a C1. It's got nothing to do with "what the vehicle looks like" it's the plated weight. 👍
7:50 that heavy ass angry breathing is fucking hilarious
🤣🤣🤣
thank you for the videos, it helped me pass my LGV class 1 exams
Great work, well done. You are more than welcome 👍👍👍
Thank you very much for this lesson 👍🏻👍🏻
Our pleasure! Best of luck out there 👍🏼
Amazing instructors.
Thank you so much👍👍👍
Good video I go tomorrow my C1 module 4
Best of luck hope all goes well.👍👍🤞🤞
The oil in that vehicle should br checked when the engines is warm as the dipstick handle is red.

I like how if you say nice and clean and nice and secure you could be used for most answers
It's what they're looking for 😊 reinforce it through repetition
Beautiful
Thanks
Thank you so much.
SO FAR I LEARNED "CPC" IT'S NICE AND SECURITY
Yes it's all about security of the load safety of the vehicle and making sure the driver understands what it does and how it does it.

Can I fail my c1 road test if I get all the questions wrong or do they just go down as minors if I get them wrong like on a normal driving test?

What does Keith mean "springs are smiling not frowning"?
When the vehicle has no load in it the leaf spring that supports the vehicle bends in a way that it looks like it is smiling. When the vehicle has a substantial load in it the leaf spring will then bend the other way and look like it is frowning.👍
Is the c1 ambulance course done with an automatic or manual vehicle?
This would be done with a manual vehicle 👍👍.
What’s the cost on average for c1? I’ve heard certain places can fleece the crap out of you, some say 500-600 quid is what you should be paying.
Hi Louis, it really depends where you are in the country. Whereabouts are you?

Do you need to have an annual medical to keep c1/d1?

Isn’t that a Luton van as 7.5 ton is a bit bigger ?

It's a valid point D M, thank you for the tip
When in the history of the world has anyone lost their hand when the suspension randomly fails. The odds are worse than winning the lotto
Good vid, although most of it common sense but I guess some drivers don’t have that. Stay safe guys
Thank you👍
How to order buses from the England, Scotland and Wales?
Sorry, not quite sure what you mean?
@@NationalDrivingCentre how u order buses from?
Great question. Think national express and megabus are your best bet. There are also trains and planes in the UK too.
@@Drifterteetea I think i agree with that...
Basic common sense then I suppose
Absolutely 👍👍
Do you not bother about health & safety ? . No steel toe capped boots , no gloves , wearing shorts , etc, etc, etc, ???
PPE is important you are right. However for this video and what we were demonstrating in a closed yard, the high vis was just the ticket 👍🏼
Why would you wear gloves, site boots and trouser to stand next to a van? You aren’t on a fucking site mate.
I would imagine driving in site boots as uncomfortable as hell. Is it best to drive in trainers then stick your boots on for deliveries and pick ups?
good video but why is keith moaning like that?
