I've been working out almost every day for a couple of months but I wanted better core exercises. I'm 60 so I need core and back strength for stability. I've increased my protein so I am ready to do these! Thank you!!
you guys just made me love parkour...........all these years i have thought only of increasing body weights for strenght..but now i understand whats essential...thanks alot
Its also important for #4 on this list that you make sure your back is not curving upward. Keep the back straight (flat against the floor) to properly engage your abs. If you can't keep the back straight with the regular version do the beginner version instead. Good luck everyone!
excellent vid guys. one thing i noticed was was with the hollow hold, its much more effective if you keep your lower lumber on the floor and your upper thoracics off the floor. making a dish shape
I'm so glad I found your channel, you guys are awesome and I enjoy the fact you talk about the whole spectrum of abilities and offer techniques and exercises for guys like me all the way up to Ninja level. I will state the obvious concerning 6-packs, you build 6-packs in the kitchen, so you can do 1, 000 ab/core movements/day, if you are drinking beer and eating chips...not so much................and who gave a thumbs down? Identify yourself!
Dear Tapp Brothers, thanks for posting this new video. i have been looking for good core workouts to help with my parkour and acrobatics training. I especially like the Hollow Hold, because you can add other core workouts with it, like the V-ups, as you have shown in your video. There is a workout that I added with the Hollow hold that is great for developing the core to help with back flips. When you are in the Hollow Hold, instead of doing V-ups, while keeping your toes pointed out, slowly bring your knees up to your chest and curl your body like you're about to role backwards all the way till your resting on our upper back then slowly return to the Hollow Hold position. For me this works the whole ab area. Thanks again for posting the video. I'm looking forward to seeing more.
You guys have an awesome fucking channel. Always high quality content. I'm primarily a powerlifter, but I've found that by incorporating a variety of the exercises you show my mobility and coordination has increased substantially. This stuff is gold. Can't thank you guys enough.
How Can I overcome and avoid a Mental Blockade, When I already can do the move For Example: I Can do a Backflip. But sometimes, I Have a Blockade in the Jump. Then I don't spin an just fall on my Back/shoulders/neck. Because I am Training in a Gym, I Fall soft. Other Moves where I am good in but Sometimes Have a mental Blockade are the different Kong moves. And It is really not so that I do not have the Strength Or the Technique for it. It is only fear. And I don't know what I Can Do against it
+Yonas Shinigami The mental blocks can be some of the most difficult to overcome. One of the reasons I enjoy parkour so much is the constant mental challenges and fears we have to overcome. I have found a few tactics for overcoming this mental fear. 1. Gradually progress and develop confidence before attempting this move you currently have mental blocks with. A great tactic is to perform moves first that you can do with confidence, then perform the move that you are having mental blocks with. For example, you are having difficulty with the backflip. Start with a nice warm up, then perform acro moves you have full confidence in. Perform a cartwheel, then one arm cartwheel, front handspring, back handspring a few times (or whatever moves you do not have mental blocks with) this will get you mentally confident and physically warmed up to go for your full attempt on the backflip. This one usaully works well for me. 2. Consistently following a routine or ritual before performing a new move. If we follow a specific routine you will make attempting the move more of a habit and ritual. An example is starting your training session with a systematic warm-up and follow this routine every time you train. This will let your body and mind know, once you perform this routine several times, alright its go time. I trained with some of the 3run guys and I noticed before attempting big moves, chase would say 3-2-1 action and without hesitation attempt the move with 100% focus and commitment. It's like whatever doubts were had once those words were said its go time. So you can find a ritual that best fits you. And I would recommend dialing in this routine with moves you are confident in and can commit 100% first so it gets in grained in your head, then use this ritual for the moves you have mental blocks with. Hope this helps! Train safe, Thomas
+TappBrothers Wow, thanks for the detailed answer. I will try this adivces out. Your Videos always motivate me to train, and we (me and my friends) are using your workout - tips we train. Parkour really helps me to get through tough times, and so do you with your Videos. Thank you for making these, and stay how you are. Regards from Germany Yonas
A video on stretching and building wrist/shoulder strength for those with weak wrists/shoulders. A strong arm is useless without strong wrists and shoulders. Much love peace
Could u post a video on exercises and prerequisites on the Front Lever if u know how to do it? I know there are videos focusing on exercises for it. All I want to see is your take on it.
Hei everyone, first of all thx TappBrothers for the great videos! i just wonder, is there an alternative name for the 3. exercise "carry thru"? Where does it come from? thx and greetings from switzerland -- mirko
Dear TappBrothers, I was watching the "3 Tips To Overcome Backflip Fear Without A Gym Or Spotter" video, and though I still have some cleaning up to do I'm finally landing them!!! I taped a progression video of myself practicing them and I think the problem is that I'm doing something wrong with my arms. I don't really don't know what to do with them. So I ask, what do I do with my hands?? Am supposed to swing my arms up and than right when I'm about to tuck shoot my hands back down to pull my legs in, or should I be doing something else? I hope you get the chance to read this and respond back. And I also want to thank you guys for doing what you do :-) I've been following your channel for a couple of months now and by watching your videos, I have great abs by following the blueprint, I can do a butterfly twist, kong vault and other vaults. You guys are amazing and please NEVER QUIT. Thanks a lot, Shyloh with a y
he tapps i eagerly wait for each &every video of yours with help of ur awesome teaching i learnt kong vault, dashvault ,turn vault , reverse vault etc . now u pls teach me what r the moves to be thought in parkour for beginers pls !!!!!!!
OMG I watched this and immediately tried the "butt scoot" I was surprised how much I could actually feel it in my core and it was pretty fun/funny to do >_< Thanks for the video!!
Everyone's always talking about abs, and for the most part we all know about upperbody bodyweight exercises like pushups, situps, pullups, dips, etc. But as a beginner I find myself completely at a loss for finding lowerbody bodyweight exercises, aside from a few well-known ones like squats, lunges and jumps. There are plenty of machines at the gym, but I'd like to know what I can do at home with just my own body. Could you do a video on that? Or.. have you? I didn't see one.
Hey, I'm a big fan... Can yall please help me... I'm just starting out with PK. There are soo many exercises and drills y'all show but I don't know how to go about it... When to build strength, when to do cardiovascular and when to practice PK skills... Please can yall help?
where do you get those wristbands from that you wear in some of your vids (what are they made of)? because i don’t want to wear those big thick ones that i know from skating.. and also i’d like them to be really cheap or even be able to make them myself.. (if you’re talking stores - i live in europe) you guys could make a vid about that..
I've been working out almost every day for a couple of months but I wanted better core exercises. I'm 60 so I need core and back strength for stability. I've increased my protein so I am ready to do these! Thank you!!
