    In this video I answer a question I received in my e-mail.
    Q: How can I cut extra fat and what are the best workouts for parkour?
    For parkour our workouts will be designed for building efficient functional muscle. We want to build coordination with the body while we build strength and cut un wanted fat.
    Therefore, as a beginner in parkour, you will want to start off with basic bodyweight exercises that require multiple muscle groups to work together . You will also want to perform them in a circuit. This means one exercise right after another continuously for a duration of time. Usually 15-30 mins works well. This will depend on how intense the workout is. This will allow you to get a great full body workout that builds efficient strength as well as cut fat fast. This is due to the extra energy and calories our body burns by increasing blood flow, increasing oxygen intake, and increasing the number of muslce fibers being used in a full body, intense workout.
    In the video I give you an example workout to get started.

    I subscribed, i really want to get into parkour as a way to get in shape as my weight is a bit of an issue (245 pounds, 5 foot 9) and i've always been impressed with the things i've seen. My only problem is consistency and motivation, i feel like i'd be more motivated if there was someone with me going through this.

    I really appreciate that you offer different levels of difficulty for these exercises. I know it's a beginner workout video but I've seen at least one of those that's casually like 'do ten pull ups!' and that's really not how it goes. XD

  • @jeremiahbell96
    @jeremiahbell96 9 лет назад

    I don't know if anyone who's going to see this has done insanity, but a lot of these ideas about balance and coordination are included in the program. I'm not advertising for them or anything, it just seems like if you wanted more of a workout (cardio-wise) you might want to go that route. You'll also shed a lot if not all of your visible body fat (so long as you eat to do so). Also it's great for the lower body as quite a few of the exercises involve jumping, in fact some of the most punishing one's are lower body plyometrics (so great for explosive power). It is light on the upper body though so I'd supplement with some weight training for strength.

      Well I'm a guy but I do a lot of Parkour and u don't have to be shredded to Parkour all you really need is to be fit enough were the extra fat doesn't slow you down or is an obstacle itself, also technique precision and flexibility itself are huge factors in Parkour, but if your wanting to lose weight do a lot of cardio and eat a clean diet, and if your wanting to build strength I suggest doing body weight exercises pretty frequently, hope this comment helps and train safely,btw I have a couple Parkour videos made so far I'll be making more soon so plz go check out my channel ☺

      Axe
      good therory but doing that can deter you from keeping your diet also there are good fats and bad fats. you shouldn't "Cut" something from your diet, Just Optimize

    • @s.a.1615
      @s.a.1615 9 лет назад +1

      You should (imho) eat lots of fruits, vegetables, healthy grains (quinoa 4 example) and things like potatoes and basically cut out any kind of fast food, meats, and bad fats (like milk and butter) and sugars. Also don't eat too little or too much (too little is bad n if u have food in ur stomach when ur doing exercises u'll throw up so too much isn't good ether.)
      Fighting ^.^
      (I'm telling u this from my own experience)

      Actually it's very good but don't over do it. That will cause pain and will prevent parkour. Just make sure the weights aren't too heavy and make sure you only use weights once or twice during the weeks you decide to train

      Phil \m/
      From personal experience I recommend running/jogging. Try jogging for 5 minutes with a 2 minute walking break then a 1 minute sprint for about 30 to 45 minutes a day. After about a week try to pace yourself more by increasing the time you jog and sprint. Drink plenty of water as well. That is what i did to improve mt stamina/endurance.

      Use your knees. lean the body out as much as possible, as if your knees are your toes. I also heard leaning forward and using tables works a bit for women.
