Isn't it amazing how the anti trout brigade have been banging on about how the trout have caused the Trout cod, Maccas and Blackfish to disappear.
Blackfish have been living here for decades with trout without any problems. As soon as the cod move in they're all gone.
And why have the Murray cod moved up here and not the trout cod and Maccas? Haha

    • @MurrayCrabbFishing

@@robbiefishing there is still a lot of superiority complex in fishing and most the trout hate comes from that and nothing to do with what’s good for black fish at all. Lol
Personally I love trout fishing. But I would also love to be able to do to some of my fav trout streams and target maccas or trout cod if they were established there one day.
But it’s not the trout that is stopping them from being there.

First time I ever went to thewidebrownland, was 16, we took a campervan from the Cairns airport* directly to a campground right on a beach.
It was raining. No one else wanted to walk down to the water, tide was out, so I was walking along looking in the pools, and there was a coffee cup . . . I picked it up, and a cute tiny Occy dropped out of it into the palm of my hand, no bigger than a fifty cent piece.
And I was like "OH WOW, that is so small, is cute !"
      *Neon blue flashing rings appear*
I was trying for some sort of speed-run for a Kiwi, dead from bite within 4 hours of arriving.
*Our plane was the 5th flight to use the "New" terminal, in 1984.@@robbiefishing

Hi mate, Basic rule of thumb is that smaller hooks get more hookups, but larger hooks loose less fish. It's hard to find the right balance.
