- Russell Weatherspoon is a philosopher that believes in the power of dialogue. In his talk, he will be addressing some of the most important dialogue of all, romantic dialogue and how it changes our relations with others.
In Russell Weatherspoon's TEDxAmherst talk, he talks about what he is most passionate about -- love.
Russell was appointed instructor in religion at Exeter in 1987 and served as dean of residential life from 2001 to 2011. He was dorm head of Cilley Hall for 13 years and chair of the Religion Department from 1995 to 2000. He has taught in the English and theater departments, and has coached girls junior varsity basketball since 1987. He has also served on numerous committees, including the diversity, attendance, health and wellness, and assembly committees.

Russell Weatherspoon was my teacher in high school. I've always considered him a father-figure. Now everyone else can see the goodness and thoughtfulness of this man. Thank you!
What a joy to get to hear Mr. Weatherspoon speak so many years after high school. This teacher and philosopher made a huge impact on my life, and here brings his humor and wisdom to a broader audience. Just wonderful.

Russell Weatherspoon is a teacher at Phillips Exeter Academy which is the Alma Mater of Jesus Christ as Jesus Christ was a member of Exeter's Class of 2000 which he was enrolled in using the name Justin Scott Massler.
