      @@repent. 2 things I learned is to do a good warm up BEFORE stretching and to be kind to myself as a newbie by starting off with this advanced stretching with 3 times a week and then work my way up. For basic stretching, I do everyday.

    UPDATE #2: Now I am about 3 inches from doing a complete split. But I'm not gonna push it too much. So Imma stay here for at least another week.

    So I'm a martial artist by trade, and for 18 years of training, I have never been able to get to full splits. Even though I have only just done this once, I can tell after some time, my 36 year old male body is finally going be able to do the splits. Thank you!

    I'm an ex dancer I quit due to mental illness ( went back to one class a week recently) and I used to be super flexible and I'm trying to get it all back and it feels so weird watching these kind of videos when I used to be so flexible :/

    I’ve been doing these stretches for just over 3 months now and I have managed to do the splits. I never thought it would be possible for me to do the splits but these stretches have helped me a lot. It’s a miracle, thank you for this video 😊🙏

    I'm really enjoying this challenge. I'm 53 yo and can't remember the last time I achieved the splits. I'll let you know when I get there. But for now, ouch!

      Depends on how generally flexible you are. I've always been able to almpst do them without stretching, and just need a little bit of stretching to actually do them.
      So they might have been able to learn it already

      @@jpsings4229 Oh trust me I do😅 But not everywhere though. My knees look like they're not streched all the way even when they are, but at the same time I can walk around on completwly bent toes (the wrong way if you get me) without a problem.
      In other words, I've got ballet feet, but not ballet knees

      As a person that loves music and every aspect of it I’m hurt by these comments 🤣 It was awesome to me. Hearing the builds, the lows, the tones. Maybe the voice made it creepy. But the instrumentals are cool

    UPDATE #1: I realized Tuesday night that:
    - my hamstrings are more flexible after I did the leg folded to the back. So I can lay further back without lifting that leg
    - doing the split I am now closer to the floor. I'm only about 4-5 inches away from doing a split
    I was so tired that night I almost didn't do it. And if I didn't I wouldn't have experienced my increased results in such a short time AND I would've "threw" my results away from all the days of doing this.

      Keep on! I am over 40 and have mine. WHEN you get them, be sure to do them a few times a week or you will lose them! *Not that you asked for advice!

      @@kritisingh3305 not that you asked me, but it took me 6 months to get my right split at age 13-14, and the left split in another six months with regular stretching at least once a week if not every day (I can't remember now how often I did it, but i wanted it badly!). I still haven't been able to get the middle one though...

      Ana Mery hi Ana, your knee should be facing down to the floor when you go into a split or lunge. The woman in the video turns her knee sideways which then turns your hip out. So always look behind you to check that your knee is facing to the ground. I really hurt myself when I started stretching because I didn’t know that. Hope that helps.

    I can see this being useful for figure skating as well for such things as Russian split jumps , spirals , camels and hydroblading .

    clearly i had good teachers in kickboxing, your stretch routine is almost exactly the same as what i did 20 years ago. This is extremely good video, people just need to stay focused on taking their time and you can get them there.

    I learnt My Split after seeing a Friend do it.
    I just did it and till now I still have my splits.

    I want to be able to do the splits by new year.
    Following this video for the music.
    Decided to do this every 2 days.
    First two times was me just figuring out how to position myself to feel the stretches.
    Third time doing this today, I slipped while doing the split- pain is real.
    I'm 20-ish cm from the floor.

      Day 3- did every stretch for 45 s, noticed that by the time you get into a pose you're only stretching 25s or less. Definitely too little after a run (parallel to this I'm doing couch to 5k)
      Day 4: I got a hang of the stretches where I think I'm doing them correctly now and feel the correct stretch.
      5th time :✅
      6th time:✅
      7th time:✅

    Doing this for a year to get my splits
    Day 1--- completed, it was kinda hard, but i feel a little more flexible after doing this❤️
    Day 2--- i completed todays stretch.
    Day 3--- i felt more flexible

    This is the only video I have found that stretches your glutes in preparation for the splits and I've found that really helps me with my flexibility.

    I realised whenever I do my splits, my back leg goes down like yours like my ankle would rest on it’s side as I go into the splits and that’s why I always find that my hips are not square. But i have to try v hard not to turn out my back leg and press the front of my feet onto the ground which is a way harder stretch :,) so that means this whole time my splits was like a cheat split

      Try not to be a pus__Y. Geeze. I am over 40 and if stretching made me sweat, it would be time for me to go into assisted living. i have had my splits for years, but I would not have gotten them by crying over sweat. GeEZE

    My hamstrings were the tightest they've been in a very long time today. Like my finger tips wont even touch the floor when I usually can flat handed touch the floor... I can definitely say I'm stunned. I was about 4 inches from a split after this video!!

    Wow. I am not a dancer nor have I done these before but I am super surprised that I got every stretch with less pain. And when I tried the front and even side splits, I almost got it for like only 8 inches apart from the floor. I will definitely do this everyday. I am alos 21 years old already so this is really new and surprising to me. Thank you!

    Day 2- was a bit easier then yesterday.

    I’ve been doing this every day for 2 months now and I’ve made visible progress. Maybe another month and I’ll be able to touch the ground 👌🌚 (I’ll be back in a month)
    Edit: I’m so close on my left leg but it looks like I haven’t been making progress for the past week and my right leg is not even halfway down >:c
    Edit: I think I’m honestly giving up and not stretching that often anymore even though I still want to do the splits. I’ll try to stretch more often again now though.

    You know what? I’m going to do this... I’m so so so old now but I used to be a dancer, and I can still do most of your stretches, I can sit cross legged and happily lean all the way forward so my chest touches the floor. Still got mad hip flexibility... you shoulda seen my turnout.. my feet could almost face backwards.. creepy I know... but I’ve stiffened up so much and it’s a spiral... downward spiral.. you’ve inspired me you bonkers 👧

    Love this video! Got one split down on one side, almost got the other, in 2 weeks(tbh I was fairly close anyway but not progressing) but I've seen a phenomenal difference doing this once every day after my workout

    Im doing this routine just to get better in deadlifting and calisthenics. I dont have the ambition for the split, but this routine seems doable every morning and I think it'll make me more mobile. Hopefully I can touch the floor with straight legs & back after a few months. It's gonna be a long road. Thanks!

    I'm stretching for a year now and I had pauses for like months sometimes, but now stretching is getting so normal to me like brushing my teeth or something... I'm just a few centimeters away now! Don't give up y'all!❤️❤️

    Nice video and tutorial! Would you be willing to do a similar video intended exclusively for the middle splits (i find both front ones fairly easy to do after about 10mins of warm up, but am far from a middle one because my hips are so rigid "in that direction")? 💐
