This is extremely helpful for me as I sometimes tend to rush the rough sketch and focus mostly on details, so I waste time trying to perfect a drawing that is never going to look right as I didn't start off with a solid foundation
Skye J J.S This is so relatable it hurts.
Your setup is more important than the drawing itself. Screw up the setup, and your details will be all screwed up.
Patience is golden!
true. I feel the same.
True
He drew that face quicker than I can draw the second eye in my drawing
Ofc, because he already know the workflow
yeah he's been drawing for a long time makes sense
He's an ancient man, what would you expect?
Smol_花 the power of boomers is great
LOL
Oh, light bulb moment: I was not using two-point perspective (self-trained pre-Internet) and while my stokes and poses have life, they're often a little "off" and inauthentic in their weights. I also never had draft versions trying to make design and execution happen in same drawing. So glad your vid caught me in a teachable moment-thank you very much!
wow this is so simple yet very helpful
Thank you so much. I have a lot of difficulty with positioning muzzles in upwards and downwards perspectives and so I tend to default to straight on more than I should. That lion was a huge help and I can't wait to see if I can put those lessons into practice.
Thank you so much for this video. Learning perspective has drove me insane because no one's videos I've watched have actually explained how to apply perspective in my drawings. It's a simple dilemma of knowing how to learn it but not how to apply it.
I love watching you draw animals. You lines have such a lively bounce to them, and the animals have this muscle to them that just makes them feel heavier, like they're real and about to walk out of the art. ;v; shared the video!
Thank thank you and thank you again,as a dyslexic artist who has long struggle with perspective but who loves to draw, this video is the first one that has made practical application easier to understand but more importantly to try and apply.
Hello Aaron!
I keep thanking people who invented internet cause I get to see this and can communicate with you, and you with us so easily, haha. Seriously you are such a great teacher, great personality, which is crucial for me, when I am learning something. I have this passion in me for animated films and characters, and just recently I shook off that "You are too old for this" feeling that everyone is giving me, and thanks to you I kind of pushed aside my graphic design "career" and finally got to work on something that really matters to me. I mean I draw and paint a lot, but I´ve never put so much energy into animating as I am now, so thank you so much.
I want to support you in every way, so now that I´ve discovered that your animation course is on sale, I am definitely going to buy it. Hopefully there´s enough time cause I still have to wait for my salary, haha.
Anyways, thank you for what you are doing I am pretty sure that you are helping a lot of people pursue their dreams. :)
Love,
Hana.
+Hanni. Mikk Thank you so much.
+Hanni. Mikk fun how i see more and more ppl admitting their love, i gave into my passion for animation films too some weeks ago, my tablet is going to arrive soon :D so much to learn but it looks sooooo awesome

@@santoss8299 why are people like you so toxic on the internet? If you don't care about her comment simply scroll by there is no need to be toxic, always be nice to people especially on the internet they might be having other problems in their life
This is true. I’ve really improved just in a week! I also plan to make another channel to share my animations with people
Your art is fantastic. I am going to draw like this one day. I've always struggled with perspective. This seems to clear things up a bit! I'm going to try it!
So glad to see you back, Aaron, missed the art tips. Hope the projects are coming along well and that you had a great Christmas/New Year.
It would be awesome to see some tutorials on doing flight, especially how to position wings to get the movement right, how to actually - well, y'know - draw their range of motion correctly. If you had any tips for colouring wings nicely without having to spend a year on each feather, that would be awesome too.
Thank you Aaron so much for this video about perspective. I'm currently working on a digital painting, and working on fixing my perspective of the figures. This was extremely helpful thank you so much.
So incredibly helpful and insightful, thanks so much for sharing your tips, methods, and time with us!
This is easily the most helpful video I have ever watched about art. This is coming from someone who's probably watched thousands of hours of art tutorials.
I will never be this good, but I love watching and being amazed by artist....thank you.
Thanks master !!
really important advice !!!
Something that I saw in this perspective talk is that you stablished your vanishing points really far away, so that, the lines seem to be almost parallel (lines are converging just a bit), I mean, when I´m drawing, I usually put the vanishing points closer to the object (even when the perspective should not afect the form to much) , so the perspective is super evident, and I end up pulling my drawing out of the cone of vision.
Thanks again, very useful insights.
This was so helpful! You're a huge inspiration, thanks so much!
This is amazing! Now I know my drawings are so boring to look at. All this perspective is a great way to to show dynamic in your drawing! I did not notice until now! Thanks a lot Blaise!
its nice to see someone so talented petting their lines. makes me feel more valid
Finally! Another art tips video! What a breath of fresh air. =D
Thank you and happy new year Aaron.
I don't usualy write those coments, but two seconds into the drawing and I already love the circle.
It's a really cool circle.
That was so helpful. Love watching you draw, Aaron!
Nice posters in the background! I loved that film ;)
Have a Happy New Year, Mr. Blaise!
Perfect explanation of the usage of perspective.
Thank you so much for the perspective things, very helpful
Wow 💡 mind blown! Thank you so much!
I've just found your channel and I loved it! Thank you for your advices, appreciated.
thanks again for reminders and yes I do try and draw every day!
Thank you so much that makes so much sense! I am relatively new to art but I am trying to train my brain to think 3D when drawing. This helped a lot
Those drawings look so neat. Thanks for the video!
Thank you!! Im just getting back into art and this was the most helpful video for me to understand how to follow perspective. :)
Wow! This was amazingly helpful. Perspective has always been very difficult for me. In class I struggled with geometric shapes and turning figures into various staked blocks in perspective, this really helped me understand the applications of perspective lines and how to keep everything looking right. :) Great video!
Thanks for the amazing advice & easy understanding explanation.
Thank you!! this is wonderful information! Really appreciate it!
wonderful just what I needed for inspiration! thank you maestro!
AAron Blaise amazing, wonderfull.
Hello Aaron, You make it look so easy. I guess that's because you've been doing this for so long now. I used to do a lot of drawing years ago but I've been away from it for so long now. I feel like I'm learning to walk all over again. I like your teaching method and I'm hopeful that I can renew my enthusiasm once again. Thanks for your videos
thanks for teaching us great thing,
love it
What a great post today thank you for this Mr. Blaise
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! just had a major art breakthrough because of this video. i NEVER draw perspective lines for my characters and ive been trying to figure out why it looks so damn flat. THANK YOOOOOU
your rough sketch looks better than my final draft.😂 it's okay though I believe in myself, especially since I have you to guide me.
This is great stuff. Helps me a lot to understand how to use perspective on other things than basic objects.
thank you for the video. A really useful reminder
thanks a lot again! wonderful work!!☺️
thank you! The cat one really helped me the most, I always draw the muzzle first!
super helpful video! I would love to see more on perspective cause its something i really struggle with.
thanks a lot! this is very helpful and informative. despite the video being short i managed to learn so much in so little time :D
you're my number one rule model! thanks alot for the information you share.. so helpful
Wow, that's really helpful! Thank you so much!
Thanks! Great tips!
Very helpful indeed. Thanks.
self taught young artist here and i was gasping throughout this entire thing this helped me soooo much !!

Hey Aaron, thanks for all the help on your tips. YOU REALLY HELP! Thanks :p
I needed this right now
nicely done Sir.
It was really helpful ,thanks a lot 👌🏻🌱
nice sir every time learn this new option thanks
awesome!
Can you discuss rhythm and how you apply it to your drawings? Angles also?
thank! for all of the tips! they are really helping me out. ;D
That's super helpful...thanks!
As a concept artist its very important to mention the center line. Not just the vanishing points. My 2 cents cheers
riccia888 I was wondering about that , how come he doesn’t mark any of thos
You are amazing.
Another home run Mr. Blaise, Thank you once again for all these practical lessons. I love that you do not shroud the lessons in mystery as many other art teachers have in the past. It is what it is. I have completed all your lessons from you free and bought animation courses, it has granted me much growth in my work, now i am wondering if you could possibly talk about animating more than one character in a scene, im in the middle of doing this and have used all the tools you have given us, but i wonder if there is anything that can make my/our workflow more efficient when it comes to multiple characters. How does it work when its just one animator slaving away as opposed to two or more characters in one scene being worked on by multiple artists. Thank you very much, hope my request is not too much to ask. God bless
mr. Schmidt
Thank you sir, this is so helpful...
Perspective if done right is very powerful tool
There was some enlightening information. Mostly drawing the eyes of the animal before attaching the muzzle. Thank you!
Cool. Thanks.
Aaron, great vid. Thanks. Please make a few more on constructing the head in perspective. I understand that everyone develops their own style as to where they start and what comes next but your way of placing the side of the face and the face plain early on made looking at all if this very understandable. Thank you again.
Thanks for these great tutorials Aaron.
Could you explain how to place people on perspective on uneven grounds and with more than one point perspective... it would be awesome.
Thanks
you are a good teacher
So helpful!
Wow. 😮 Seeing this shows me just how far I have to go! 😅 Still, I do appreciate the time, effort and instruction of this video 😑. Know I'll never be anywhere as good as this, but it definitely helped me remember the importance of following those lines✏ as EVERYTHING really is along a plane. 📏 📐 Thanks so much for sharing! ☺😊
I'm from 2020, thank you so much for this precious video, gonna keep it in mind everytime I look at my cats :)))
Using 3 point perspective is actually a game changer, especially when you're tryna draw characters that feel 3d life-like
This is great! Thank U
i have been watching you but really you a the master i really like your art thanks
Obrigado pelas dicas!
Thank you, I learned a lot.
Thank you. Happy new year Master =D. from South Korea.
This is very helpful, thank you for another awesome video!! We talked about you this week in Professor John Webber's class. He said you were an awesome person to work with.
Thanks, perspective is something I struggle with.
Hahahahha
thats a terrific way of putting it without stressing out on the rough phase of a drawing.
The balancing act between letting loose and keeping yourself in check with perspective and other rules is always tough but thats why we practice constantly !
Great vid, gonna be off to DRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW !
OMG, THANK YOU
Thank you so much. I am new at drawing and having a difficult time with perspective and form. Will you please do a few more tutorial on environmental perspective?
I think these examples are even drawn in 3 point perspective? The man is seen from slightly above and the cat from slightly beneath. This makes the examples quite complex, but beautifully drawn, you can tell Aaron knows his anatomy!
Helpful video for artist
Thank you, so many things clicked, now i just need to learn to think about this when im drawing. :P
very helpful!
We missed you
I learnt so much even though i fully understand perspective.sometimes bk to basics is ureal..
You saved my life sir
Thank you.
Yay, solved my problem
Thanks alot
