Music:
Across the Ocean by JR Tundra
That Drawing looked like a time lapse of me walking around my apartment while on lock down here in the UK
Great Lesson Thank you
Haha
Man you truly are the best at simplifying concepts. You make everything really easy to understand.
t
man I swear out of the hundreds of drawing videos I watch, you break everything down so simple. doing a tough project with perspective and you just gave me hope. I'm gonna look up your book. keep doing your thing!
Thanks much and I'm glad I could help
I think fear is my weakness in drawing.
I need to remember to have fun while drawing and realize that my drawing might not come out the way I envisioned it, but that's okay.
Watching your videos, along with practicing and sketching everyday inspires me to keep on going!
Thanks for your simple explanations!
Hands down, Alfonso is the best art teacher ever. He explained the concept in a simple and understandable way. This helped me so much, thank you
Brother... I appreciate you. You taught me a lot even as an experienced Artist.
I am glad : )
Tqqqq so much Broo😊😊😊😊😊
I'm constantly inspired when I watch one of your videos. I just got home from work and was going to turn on the TV after watching a couple videos, but now I have to grab my sketchpad and draw something. Thanks!
lol awesome! Draw, draw, draw!!
This was truly an excellent tutorial on drawing people in perspective. You are an incredible teacher Mr. Dunn. Thank you.
I've been trying to revisit perspective (my greatest weakness at the moment) and no video has been as helpful as yours. watching how you apply it really helped me out. Thank you!
Crystal clear. Another brilliant lesson from a master teacher. Alphonso, I love your book. Please write another.
Man, you are one of my most trusted art RUclipsrs... Thank You very much for these content, I'm drawing for 2 weeks now and you give me a lot of free but important lessons, thanks!
I don't know if I've commented on one of your videos and said this already, but I just have to say, your guides been endlessly helpful to me. A couple years back I found your anatomy video and knowing nothing about anatomy (nor studying hard at all) at the time, it made me rethink how I drew entirely. I still have a long way to go but after far too long, I've started seriously practicing what I'm studying again and still, with all the sources I've found since, you remain one of the most concise teachers I've ever seen (without being vague and while encouraging experimentation). Your concise explanations have always been excellent refreshers as well, enough to properly teach or remind one of fundamentals and show them in practice, not so much dwelling on single points or drawings that they drag on. I know I'm just a rando saying this, not to mention I'm not great at drawing, but thank you so much. :)
This .... is something that finally sticks! Like omg, so many great teachers have showed how to do this but you sir are bar none. Thank you. So so helpful!
This is the absolute most helpful video on perspective I’ve ever watched. This is actually practical to drawing real scenes. Thank you!!!
ive been confused of perspective for a year already. thank u for making it clear to me now. and within minutes, no less!
This helps so much, you always describe drawing techniques in ways I would have never thought. Oh and I got your book as a birthday gift upon request, you did such a superb job! keep up the amazing work.
I have been watching TONS of videos on youtube about drawing and just found you, you are the BEST one, you explain things really well and dont make it too complex! Thank you! I started drawing on my ipad just a few weeks back and really eager to learn aand your videos have helped me alot. Respect!
Such a brilliant tutorial. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this. It is truly appreciated.
Great explanation! I have been struggling with this specific problem for a long time.
As always, thank you so much Alphonso!
I was skeptical when I started playing my first video of yours but I noticed instant improvement afterward. You are a gifted instructor and highlight skills that immediately translate to results.
You have an amazing way of connecting concepts--x/y, vanishing point, etc. I knew all these but couldn't seem to coordinate them in my compositions. I struggled with perspective but I know this will help a great deal. Thank you.
I've found your channel yesterday, and I'm really enjoying your explanations. Most of other YT artists just draw digital fanart, and seeing you going the opposite direction of that is highly satisfying, especiallly because I prefer traditional myself (don't get me wrong, I like digital too, just tired of seeing it everywhere and all the time). Please, keep up with what you're doing. Cheers from Brazil.
Thank you for explaining the vanishing point and perspective so well!
Every video is amazing! I taught humanities in an art school & only a few colleagues could match these awesome concept packed videos. The books are amazing too. Show your love & appreciation to this fantastic sensei.
i was so doubt to click on this video because idk the thumbnails isn't really promising but then i'm glad that i decided to watch this tutorial.. so simple yet so clear and is easy to understand. thanks man
I really struggled with this stuff in school even though I loved art, and coming back to it years later. Thank you!
Can't describe how much you're saving my life, you're the best!!
One of the best videos on teaching perspective. Really enjoyed it!
2 minutes in and you already break down perspective so well. Thank you so much for your videos!!
Very welcome 🙂🙏
Hey Alphonso,
Thank You for inspiring me different ways to create art. On your channel you've taught me valuable lessons on art. Ive been drawing for a while and now Ive even created a greeting card company that sells greeting cards and later donated to Stanford Chidldrens Hospital. I really appreciate it!!!
Thank you so much Alphonso, again you explain it easily and fun, and manage to tell just the right things, which I missed elsewhere and struggled with.
That last drawing is the example of the beauty that is within the simple things, excellent .
Life changing facts 🙏🏽 this is the only video I could find truly explaining the perspective issue I’m tackling thnx for the post!
Brilliant! You’re quite the instructor Alphonso! Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us! Stay healthy and safe.
I’ve watched a few of your videos and am so impressed with your way of teaching. I went to Amazon and purchased your drawing book and workbook. I can’t wait for them to arrive. Thank you so much for sharing your talent.
Alphonso, you have a gift, not only of art, but of sharing knowledge in a concise way. I went to the university, and none of the masters there taught me the way you do. Thank you!!
Thanks so much! That means alot
Alphonso you are such a gifted teacher. Thanks for doing these. I can't tell you how much these videos help me!
No worries. My pleasure
One of the best lessons on the net, rates in the top 10.
This video is actually very helpful for animators since the characters are constantly moving about the scenes. You really are awesome!
Easy way to understand how perspective works, how to traslade something in perspective, and still look everything cool. You're awesome.
You are awesome at explaining and giving useful examples. Perspective is difficult for me and you made it logical. thanks so much!

THE BEST tutorial I've seen and thank you very much for your time and effort. Also, this is one of the handful of times I've made comment. Couldn't possibly not for how awesome your expertise in explaining and demonstrating was. Thanks, again.

I already thought I knew perspective well, but you opened up a new world of drawing for me! Thank you!!
Very welcome
Very helpful. Right on time. Thoroughly enjoyed this video. Thank you.
Excellent thank you so much… you really know how to explain things… love your book
This video really helped me understand a lot about perspective. Thank you very much!
fantastic video! I've never heard someone explain such a complicated subject so simply I love it! I'm gonna subscribe in hopes to support the channel and art!
I'm learning how to draw just with your channel, great content!
A nice video i'd like to study is how to keep the proportion of the body (limbs) with knees and shoulders axis in perspective :)
Glad I can help : )
I thought I knew how to work with vanishing points. Wow!!! You introduced me to something I didn't know. Light bulb moment!!!!
Thanks for your time
Great video. I like how you break it down to its simplest parts that equal the whole.
🙂🙏
Thanks a lot. That was very informative. Can I confirm that in addition to moving the figures in perspective with the vanishing point, you can also move them in either of the direction (up, down, right, left) anywhere on the canvas, within the each halves of the horizon level or on the opposite side of the horizon level. I noticed that happened at 12.57 and 13:14 time stamp of this video.
finally someone who makes perspective make sense to me thank you so very very very much!
From the way he breaks it down you can tell hes a master at this
Brilliant, thanks all the way from Brazil! God bless you.
Thank you very much. Now time to practice over and over and have fun
You r the best. You made my day. One angel that tought me in a very simple way how to understand those difficult concepts for a beginner like me. Want to know if you have published a book for beginners. I will buy one. Thanks a lot Alphonso. Keep on going. People need to know about you. God bless your future as a painter and as a teacher. We need people like you in this planet.😘
Thank. for simplifying the creative process. Can't wait to try it.
No worries
Wow, so you really played with the perspective here, awesome how you made it so simple to digest, thank you a lot for this profound video.
You are awesome! Thank you for sharing your talents and time!
Thanks and youre very welcome
Wow, that is so cool! Thank you! I might have to revisit this one!
3 years ago and I learn from your simple video in 2020 😊 thank you so much I had problems understanding the perspectives
Hey alphonso , i consider you as my teacher , my drawing has significantly improved from your videos , thank you so much.
Glad I can help : )
so basically proportion is key for believable perspective, this is gold, thanks ;D
This video really solidified a lot of concepts that I've come across but never quite put together. Nice job of editing too.
Thanks
This is well-explained and demonstrated. Thanks!
Very welcome
This cleared up a lot of confusion for me. Many thanks. Will buy your books! 😀
