I'm making my MC like yuta in the beginning of jjk when he was shy and scared few chapters he Will be overpower
I just had an image pop in my head of a high curly top with sides faded and a long rat tail braided, that wraps around his neck with a "Special Bullet" tied at the end of the braid.
Mii wand would be a floating brain, and it would have the ability of “spiteful” or return what is given kind of power like Kirby. The ability to copy other wand powers, and using it right bacc on the original caster. This causes the person of this wand to be strategic. The hidden power of this is like how we use references to make something original. So not only am I using your powers and throwing it bacc at u, but I have the ability to use it in mii own way through studying how u use ur abilities. Lol hopefully this is tolerable @WhytMangaOdunze 🙏🏼😎😆😆

Not gonna lie, Ive been an artist for years now and I’ve gotten good but I always find myself trying my best to copy other artists… Which I can do however, I never feel satisfied doing that. One phrase that I can stress from SpiderVerse that didn’t make it to the final cut was when Peter B Parker says to Miles was “Don’t do it like me! Do it like *you* “

My instructor (Jesse Justice. DC Comics) told me ten years ago, “you can choose your influences but your style is a fingerprint. You don’t get to decide. Just do gesture drawings and it will happen on its own.” What he was saying didn’t register with me at the time, but ten years later, he was right. How we draw is no more a conscious decision than what you’re inherently attracted to.

I knew those tips, (BUT I FORGOT HALF OF THEM!) Always good to get a reminder, especially now that I'm about to redesign a bunch of characters because I decided to rework my manga project's entire worldbuilding for the 4th time because I'm 25 now, I'm actually taking it serious now not a side project just for fun and the world I built when I was 16 was trash and the 18 and 22 years old me just patched it up instead of fixing it
That wand concept is one of the coolest power systems I’ve ever heard. My wand would be a bong lol, but it’s a survival bong my partner got it for me on our first anniversary. I would obviously control smoke, doing tricks and what not

Here is the abilities for my OC and his wind which is a part of jays hope you like
1. Color Jay Cyan - Form of the Swift Hawk:
Damien's shoes turn an iridescent blue, granting him the ability to soar through the air with incredible speed and agility, akin to a hawk in flight.
2. Color Jay Amber - Form of the Fierce Cheetah:
As Damien activates this spell, his shoes transform into a vibrant orange, imbuing him with the lightning-fast sprinting capabilities of a cheetah, allowing him to surpass any opponent in a race or swiftly evade danger.
3. Color Jay Emerald - Form of the Cunning Serpent:
By invoking this spell, Damien's shoes take on a striking green hue, empowering him with enhanced stealth and flexibility, enabling him to slither and move through tight spaces unnoticed and strike from unexpected angles.
4. Color Jay Silver - Form of the Electric Eel:
As Damien casts this spell, his shoes emanate a shimmering silver glow, granting him the ability to generate and direct powerful electric shocks, which can be utilized for both offensive and defensive purposes.
5. Color Jay Golden - Form of the Fierce Lion:
Upon activating this spell, Damien's shoes adopt a majestic golden-yellow color, endowing him with heightened strength, courage, and abundant energy, making him an imposing force in combat.
6. Color Jay Amethyst - Form of the Wise Owl:
By invoking this spell, Damien's shoes turn a deep purple, granting him incredible wisdom and heightened perception, allowing him to analyze situations and make calculated decisions with great precision.
7. Color Jay Obsidian - Form of the Agile Panther:
As Damien invokes this spell, his shoes transform into a sleek black, granting him enhanced reflexes, acute senses, and maximum agility, enabling him to swiftly maneuver through any obstacle or combat situation.
Weakness:
Similar to before, the weakness of Damien's wand, "The Jays," lies in the limited duration of each form. Each transformation can only be sustained for a short period, draining impulse from Damien as it is used. Excessive or prolonged use of the forms can result in exhaustion and render him vulnerable until he has time to recharge. Additionally, if Damien loses his shoes or they are damaged, he loses access to his forms until they are repaired or replaced.

Side note I created and Apple black chracter and drew it based of your style and it came out really good, his wand is a bubble gum cartridge And I don’t know I was thinking about Hisoka a lot (don’t call the cops 😂) so I made his magic based of bubble gum it’s pretty cool in my opinion

This video is helping me a lot! I’m currently a high school student but I plan to make my own animated show someday. I already have so many characters and stories in my head I just want to explore and draw! I only truly have one character kind of sort of finished-ish based on parts of myself and my childhood OC. But everyone else is a blank slate and I don’t know how to make the characters.

i had an rpg character on a rpg inspired on the game Noita.
the story goes that he wanted to use a type of infinity spell with his actual wand on his gun to make it have infinite ammo, but he failed and accidentally mixed things up, resulting in a gun that shoots bullets with spells and a wand that fires bullets, just normal bullets.
Excellent explanation as always man! can't wait to see this character in the next volume. my wand would probably be a black ink brush or a walkman cassette player

I have a personal problem with facial hair. I’ve tried many times before on choosing designs and trying to place them of the characters, and the design either doesn’t look good or I have a difficulty drawing it on a face. Idk how you do it, but if it’s possible I’d really like to know how.

Make his favourite weapon/wand be the "GUT BUSTER" a special weapon that shoots a special magic imbued weapon that gives it pain inducing and super heating properties (u prob won't even read this so it's whaeves)
For my character I was think a cyborg with toxic green acid through out his body and him wearing a hoodie with one arm being replaced with a robot one

Character so often is animus, just the force of the character. It shows how much they live in your head, in the energy of the story.
I have definitely had characters where it's like "Yeah, that's them" when you finally make the right drawing.
I think my wand would maybe be a horse-shaped whistle? Or a cane with a horse head. Assuming my motif wasn't coyote. If it was coyote I'd totally love a coyote cane.
Add a poncho to the thumbnail character, and you’ve got the three-armed merc my friend and I designed in high school. Love it, makes me miss those days.
EDIT: if I was a character in your manga, my wand would be a #2 pencil with just a nub of the eraser left. Half-length, Dixon Ticonderoga for extra style.
