Art school gave me fundamentals and structure, your channel "Aaron's Art Tips" gave me overnight improvements in areas I was not so good in, the episodes on "Clear Silhouette" and "Clear Character Expression" helped me to finish all future art assignments successfully, for one assignment I had to create an original character illustration, I decided to design a character with somewhat of a complex face, but with the tools I learned from your channel, it was externally easy to apply the simple "SMILEY FACE" expression and then add on all the details. Thank you Aaron for sharing your passions and skills with the me and the world. Bringing other skilled artists with their perspectives to your channel and website is greatly appreciated!
It's interesting watching two of my favorite artists together, and how they learn from each other styles. Definitely an educational experience. I'm taking notes from this video. Thank you so much Aaron Blaise. Very inspirational video...
"Put some beauty back into the world, because that's what we need to do as artists." That's my favorite line from the whole video. :) And also, I loved the part with the chimp watching the drawing (I studied anthropology in college so primates are especially fascinating to me). Thanks to you both for doing this video. -A
I saw Proko's video with you, your approach towards drawing was so amazing I showed it my mother too. To be able to draw like you is like a dream altogether. I'm in my Art foundation year and inspiring people like you help me everyday. Thank you
Loved watching this; drawing at zoos, farms or livestock/dog shows is really fun. The interaction you had with that one chimp...wow. What an amazing experience to treasure. It was fun to see the different approaches and styles of your work vs Proko’s. Thank you both for sharing so much.
The project with proko was really interesting to watch (proko is amazing).....contrasting your style with other artist gives a wider understanding of approach.but .thank you ,thank you, thank you for showing the results of the day at the end. your pics are so kool.
James Gurney, Aron Blaise, and Proko are maybe one of this century's most celebrated inspiring artists-teacher and we are so lucky that we are able to follow them on youtube and learn from the best. I will always just be an amateur artist because I started very late in my life to draw and paint. when I was 10 years old I sold out on big cat oil paintings but life happened and I took a very looooog break and began first to paint and draw again when I was late in my forties. Now I enjoy painting anything and everything, from cityscapes to landscapes, portraits, and wildlife and I also love storytelling and creating my own cartoons. Thank you for being my guide and my inspiration and thank you for being you, you got an awesome personality.
I used to teach art lessons and took a group of kids to the zoo every day for a week. I used similar approach. I’d encourage them to get a quick gesture drawing of the animal first. Then observe the details and add them in. I found that teaching art gave me lessons in art as well. All great teachers learn from their students.
WOW, WOW, WOW. Two of my favourite artists and as an animal lover this is a fantastic video all round. I love you guys! The extra special ending seeing that beautiful interaction at the end just topped it off. Thank you for sharing your amazing talents.
I have watched this video 20 times at least. I love this whole style of video. Walking around drawing stuff. I would watch hours of this stuff every week.
While Jazza might not be perfect, he gives a lot of young artists inspiration and a fun time that they will later associate with art in itself! He's great in his own way! Personally, I also like watching Challa. When he's serious he's really good at drawing but he also makes goofy videos so it's a perfect mix for me ^w^! But while Mark Crilley is great, he's never really inspired me the same way as Aaron (or even Challa). Idk. I admit he's a great artist, he is, and he's very helpful - but for some reason he's just never been what I, myself, has wanted. Idk, just trying to say that some people have different opinions and reasons as to why their opinion is what it is. Some people don't just seek out art skills in their favorites, they also seek out humor or the fun that will make them keep on watching, keep on learning. But some people though have extremely good art skills while they also have this kind and supportive aura surrounding them, and those people I _love_ watching as it gives me the motivation and inspiration that I might need sometimes! Aaron is kind of that to me, he seems really kind and helpful and he's so good at art and always makes things so interesting to watch it always makes me sit down and watch in awe, while after the video I'll be super inspired to practice some more!
I love this video so much! I watched the one on Proko’s channel too. I used to draw a lot of animals when I was younger, but now I mostly draw people. This helped me remember how fun it was and it got me drawing them again, I still have difficulty with the anatomy of animals and expecially proportions... So it was helpfull how you approached drawing them
What an amazing teaching video. I am so inspired to go out and just draw anything and everything. This video also helped me realize I really should focus more on learning anatomy before going for it. Thank you so much Aaron for posting this!!!
Hi Aaron! This is just amazing! Recently one of my nephews asked me to teach him how to draw, and I started with some tips and tricks; but this is an excellent idea from where we can take good material to work with. Thanks so much sir! And congrats for meeting with Proko, it seems you both had a great time such as made a great team there at the zoo. Blessings!! :)
I recommend Minnesota Zoo if you ever are in the area! Their habitat looks very real with great space for the animals and when I take photos I have surrounding environments looking like I took the picture in the wild!
I love this video! One can feel how much you love animals and drawing! I am so happy I found your channel! Thank you so much for all the inspiration you are giving and experience you are sharing!
Hey Aaron, this video is a great learning experience! Thank you for showing us that even you, a such experienced person on the drawing field stills learns from others, that drawing is a party where we can all dance differently!
Congrats Aaron!!!, I've just met you and I'm already a fan :) I've been drawing and painting since 1984. I admire your work, you're gifted. Greetings from México
Thank you so much... It make 2 weeks that i have an Art Block, and that i can't go outside because of it. And you just gave me the motivation to get over it. So thanks again, I love your channel ! Let's draw some animals now :)
Watching this video and promos videos with you it was just awesome! I’ve always loved art and it’s incredible to see the stuff like this that’s not “perfect”
Amazing Mr. Blaise!! Absolutely great. When I'm done watching one of your videos, at the moment they always make me go grab a pencil or whatever tool to start sketching, I have a question, what is the average time that took you to sketch those animals? Thank you so much and keep up the good work! God bless
I thought this video was just a video of a guy drawing at zoo. I watched for inspiration and ohh man was I not disappointed. Great video! I enjoyed watching you two draw, I can’t wait to do it on my own. I feel like you made amazing point through out the video. I’m going to practice Animal Anatomy for the next couple months, then I will pay the zoo a visit! Thank you for this video
Great tips, guys. I've been drawing animals and landscapes digitally using a Wacom tablet with a screen for a few years now and I enjoy it a lot. I personally use a similar technique to Stan's approach, focusing on primitive shapes and then building it up from there. And you are right about learning more each time you draw an animal. Birds are a little easier because I've drawn more of them than some of the other animals at the zoo, like a bear, which I found more challenging because I had never drawn one before. Have you done any plein air drawing on a digital device?
Wow!! This inspired me a lot!! Since we may comment on things we would like to see/learn: I would love to learn about the red fox (markings, anatomy, movements etc.)
Bit late to the video but would love to know which tools were used! The pencil or graphite stick Proko uses in particular looks like a lot of fun. Would love to know!
Thumbs up!!! In a drawing of Stan, I copied a sketch somewhere last year from a book. I just put lines on how o where the body parts goes. I hope I can show it to you. In my surprised it looks nice ang clean. But I have to practice it more, in a regular basis so that can really develop my talent and be consistently good.
Actual footage of the rarely seen striped lion :D But kidding aside, great video :D I have a question though. Lately, I have trouble with finding out what I should draw to distinguish myself as a professional illustrator. I love drawing animals since I was a kid, but many artists do animals. And other interests usually center around movies, and pop culture. Either way, I don't really have anything that sets me apart and that worries me. Anyone else who feels that way, or can give me some advice on this matter?
While there we did an interview. Watch as PROKO interviews me here: ruclips.net/video/iM-fsKPdsTY/видео.html
The Art of Aaron Blaise That striped cat is a TIGER not a lion
So bummed I missed you. I would have re-upped my membership to shadow you guys around!
LOL... Yeah I brain-farted while narrating :P
Can you recommend some resources for learning animal anatomy? They aren't as prevalent as human anatomy.
+temudgin62 what about Aaron's website itself? Horses, big cats, elephants, bears... The best place to learn animal anatomy, by far
This video show me that Aaron isn't only a master at drawing, but also at complimenting people 😁
2:30 “hes got a great butt” you should do an animal documentary lol
Two of the best educators out there

3:50 Nice lion there.
DanDan if you listen to the audio he said lion
I heard it and was just like wait excuse me what?
Oh no, a human misspoke. How... human.
This gave me chills down my spine
Thanks for watching
I saw Proko's video with you, your approach towards drawing was so amazing I showed it my mother too. To be able to draw like you is like a dream altogether. I'm in my Art foundation year and inspiring people like you help me everyday. Thank you
I love the last comment on the female ape who came to look at your drawing about how she also likes to draw. That was so cute
Animals are just wonderful!
What better calling, than show HOW wonderful they are to the world?!
i like how the one that draws got to witness a master human drawing.
artist knows the satisfaction of finishing a drawing or picking up a pen or pencil to draw.
loving the voice over, so soothing
Two of my favourite people drawing anatomy together in zoo 😍😍

This is super helpful! I love going to the zoo for inspiration for drawings and I've never been more eager to go again than after this video.
Wenn a great and experienced artist like you says that he keeps learning ... that gives me an example!
I think my favorite part was when you and the chimp bonded over the drawing. That’s so awesome.
two of three best artists that youn can find out on youtube Mr Aaron Blaise ,Proko and Jazza
Uhh Mark Crilley? he's way better than Jazza in every aspect.
While Jazza might not be perfect, he gives a lot of young artists inspiration and a fun time that they will later associate with art in itself! He's great in his own way!

Oh, I Stan on youtube. I watch some of his videos.
Finalmente um video com legenda em.português 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾😍😍😍
I wonder how many people asked them about what they were doing. I know I got a lot of stares and questions last time I did that.
