I was a ton of fun. I think 2s next time will be what we race on. We could barely even get half throttle on 3s with the trucks running 2WD. So I think if we drop it back we'll actually go faster since we'll be able to use more of the available power. Half the fun was just completing a lap hahahahaha.
Awesome video as always!!! I’m very interested in this series because my next RC is going to be a SC and I think the Mojave 4s may be a solid option, still need to research and hear the voice of experience to finally decide, anyway thanks for sharing this cool video :)
Mojave 4s is an excellent truck. So fast, but also so very easy to drive. I'm probably going to include one in the series even though we were planning to keep it 1/10 scale, we might make one exception for the Mojave 4s.
That was awesome! I always thought base ball diamonds would make awesome multi car race tracks! This was brilliant man , I loved it! Can’t wait for the rest of them! 👊🏼😎💯🏁👍🏻
Marvin and Sydney, (they've been in a few of our videos) actually turned me on to how good a baseball diamond really is for racing. It's almost perfect if you just want to pin the throttle and rip it! Not the most skilled type of track, but I'm not the most skilled racing driver hahaha, so it's perfect.

Actually, if you can keep the front end down. That truck will do 55 MPH out of the box. I actually did it in the review video before this one. That truck is crazy! It also did a backflip and landed on the wheels
@Rek_Rc I think the rc shop saw me coming though 20 to 30 minutes and the gears are ground off now truck don't even run and my 1st run was 15 seconds in a straight line ripped tires off rims and ripped tires in half
Thank you as always sir. It took us a few laps to get it right running 3s on RWD in loose dirt, but we eventually got down pretty good. But, I can't help thinking the racing would have been better and maybe even faster on 2s because of the better control and we would have been able to use most of the throttle. With 3s neither of us got beyond half throttle, well...we did but that's when we spun out hahahaha.
The trucks handled the corners real well considering the surface. I guess short corse trucks handle the best of any I've seen. I agree that 2s would have been more manageable. I'm looking forward to some more runs. Perhaps set out some cones on the track so it's more defined. Maybe show the finish line better with some bright colored ribbon or rope. Very impressive how you ran both cars and a drone at the same time. You must of had a 3rd man? @@Rek_Rc
@@RCRoads in this case it was just the two of us, we parked in the drone in the air and just moved it every couple races, and the individual shots of each truck was me driving and Tado flying.
I think it's a combo of being a 100a system, gearing, weight and the fact that they are so fast with all those factors, it must weigh on the batteries big time.
Something i realized with my Senton 2wd i have no diff in the front because its lighter and i use part no Z-ARA311107 on my front wheels. What i noticed is you can tighten the wheel nuts too tight very easily and have to loosen them to spin freely on the bearings again. So be careful and feel with your hand how loose the drive train feels putting on 1 wheel at a time, Obviously worse with a 4 wheel drive with all wheel nuts too tight.
My Senton only gives about 6 minutes from a 5500mah lipo.!! My slash 2wd gives at least 20 minutes.!! The Senton was my first 1/10 Short course & I loved it, so much so that I replaced it with a Boost (swapped the electrics/running gear) when it eventually wore out, but I have a few SC trucks now from Traxxas/FTX/HPI/Hobao & it's still good, but not my favorite.. My 1/8 Hobao SC8 is by far my favourite, it's a 6S monster & built like a tank.! It's those massive mod 1 diffs & the weight that suck the juice on the 3S BLX range I think.!! My Big Rock is exactly the same.! Stay safe out there mate & best wishes from Scotland 🏴 🙏 ❤️ 📻 🕹️ 🔋 🚗 🚖 🚕 🚔 🚚 🚙 🚘 🚓 🚒 🚑 🚐 🚎 🚤 🚁 🛩️
WOW great question because both are equally able to beat the other depending on surface. In the dirt, the Senton has 4WD so it's faster on a loose surface, but the HPI is slightly longer and it's 2WD so it's a bit more nimble on a clay surface or higher grip surface. Top speed is to within 2 to 3 MPH, the JUMPSHOT can do 55, the Senton runs between 51 and 53 MPH. It really all depends on the surface but the Senton is the much tougher of the two.

Thank you buddy. Somehow I didn't see your comment until just now
Kickin' up some nice roosters and lookin' sharp sliding around those diamonds, man! Really digging the series
I'm so excited to start the SCT series. Hoping it will be some crashing, bashing, laughing fun!

Great job. I can tell you guys work hard to bring us good stuff. 👍👍@@Rek_Rc
HPI seems really good value.
Make sure you grab an HBX 3100A. It’s a pretty awesome short course truck. I’d really like to see your thoughts on it and how it stacks up!
Oh yes, that truck is on the radar for sure!
Very impressive how power efficient the hpi is, it looked like the heavier arrmer was better of the mark but pretty even after that. Great video chaps
Yep, you're spot on with everything you just said. The HPI really is efficient, and the senton digs in and takes off.
Awesome racing guy's, 2wd is a whole different experience than 4wd, Takes a lot more skill to race 2wd.....
Oh yes, 2WD is much more difficult, even with a gyro when running on loose dirt. But it does feel really good when you get it right.
@@Rek_Rc Oh yeah it's a very good feeling when you get it right for sure....
That was really close! My Big Rock sucks down LIPOs too. I figured it was the drivetrain and high weight? IDK, it is pretty bad though!

Two really nice Trucks but who is the better Basher?Lets bash.
The senton is the better basher by far.
great race
Thank you! Next up, we'll have the slash BL racing them, but it might need a bump in gearing to keep up, which it will get.
I've been looking into the HPI and this sold me on it still don't know what battery to get for it what battery do you recommend?
I Iike HRB 4500 mAh 3s for it
So which one is faster and handles better?
