What's your favorite 4k UHD transfers?
The Revenant it's just looks incredible
@@mia-mx2xdI have that in the video!
@@Franksmediaandreviews watched it again last night and I just realised how good it looks
Revenant doesn't look like film film was shot digitally and the cinematography has that plantet earth type feel ,but as far as film film goes it hast to be toss up between 2001 space odyssey, Lawrence of Arabia , blade runner.
All the films that had the 70 millimeter or images negatives scanned like 2001 Space Odyssey, Blade Runner or Lawrence of Arabia will especially using 8k DI are always going to look amazing.
Thanks Frank. I already own most of these and they're all good to great transfers.
What's some of your favorite 4k transfers?
@@Franksmediaandreviews all the above you mentioned plus 2001 a space O, Leon The Professional is another stunning 4k, 1917 is an amazing 4k although i found the movie kinda boring, Top Gun Maverick, there are so many, too many to name
Agree with you on Blood sport. I imported straight from Capelight the first day it was put up for preorder. Another great film from Capelight is The Great Escape. Capelight was the only studio to put HDR for The Great Escape and I thought it did look better than Kino's transfer because of the HDR.
I'll have to check The Great Escape out!
@Franksmediaandreviews
If you don't know, it's a great ww2 flick made back in 60's with some really big stars. It's based on a true life prison break.
@@sethm.woodiwiss786 I'll definitely check it out! Thanks for the recommendation!
My favourite movie of all 🦈 time looks fantastic 😍 jaws 👌🏻
It sure does!
Thank you for this! I
I’m new to 4k and this helped me so much!
No problem! I have a Dolby Atmos video and an IMAX video as well. If you like the content don't forget to subscribe!
@@Franksmediaandreviews I did subscribe right away! Thank you!
Question, I started watching Alien 4k on my Sony Oled, and my guests were complaining it was to dark!
Do you think I have to make some adjustments or this is the way it should look?
@@hotguy1269 Thanks for subscribing! My tv is an LG CX. I have different picture modes like Vivid, Standard, Cinema, etc. 99% of the time I watch Cinema mode. First and foremost, choose whatever mode you like best, but generally OLED tv's bring out the best during dark/night time scenes.
I actually watched Alien last month, and I personally didn't have an issue. There's not a lot of natural light in my entertainment area, which plays a factor too.
Hope this helps, if not, ask away. 😀
@@Franksmediaandreviews yes I’m in Cinema mode as well. I guess the bottom line is what I like! And I thought the picture looked stunning!
@@hotguy1269 That's all I need to hear 🤣
To be honest, sometimes OLED/QLED tv's aren't for everybody, and that's ok, BUT DAMN I LOVE MY OLED 🤣
I’m going to wait for the remake! May have a nice 2Pack!
The Fugitive 4k scanned in 8k looks great
That's great one I didn't mention!
I would add The 10 commandments & Willy wonka & the chocolate factory as first tier 4k to own
I'll need to check the 10 Commandments out. Thanks for watching the video!
Downtown Japan... really?!? An 2023 Nolan movie shot entirely on 70mm IMAX, a surprise? Not a bad list, buy a little bit inconsistent.
Pulp Fiction 4k definitely blew me away!
Cry Baby for sure, probably best of 2024 so far (that I own)
Double Jeopardy was a huge upgrade too!
Poltergeist 4k is #1 horror in my collection, WOW! I just got it recently & it blew me away.
Titanic.. goes without question lol
Titanic! 🤦🏽♂️ That should be on the list as well... One of my favorites from last year.
@@Franksmediaandreviews yea man you slacking!!! hahaha
Stallones - Lock up - is an amazing transfer 4k
Nice!
Very good picks. Which OLED brand & TV size you own bruh?
Thanks! I have an LG CX, 65". I also have an LG C9 55", that's in the family room.
Wow I too own 65” C3 & it gives very natural pic even without calibration. Your picks some I own & some in my wishlist 🎉
@@k-boxmotionpictures1337 what's some of your favorite 4k transfers?
@@Franksmediaandreviews Lawrence of Arabia, 2001…, Original Blade runner, Singin in the…, Ten Commandments, Criterion Days of Heaven, Ran, The green mile, The shining, Revenant, Alien & Aliens I rented & liked it, From beyond, Atomic blonde, newer Denis & Nolan movies. Some from your picks I haven’t opened yet. I hope when we shift to 85” or 100” TV in future then the pic detail remains the same! Sony & LG have the best image processing right now and I also want to enjoy my older blu rays & DVDs. Sony label does the best 4k transfers no doubt about it, your The Shallows has fantastic pic quality.
I bought the G4 LG... wow i am watching many 4KS AGAIN.. the oled is perfect in combo with the panasonic 9000. And yes then the perfect transfers pop! I agree on many on your list.
16:00 can you send me link to this 20-25 buck movie? Thanks!
It's OOP, so eBay is your best bet. That's what I did. To me, it's worth the price.
i’m new to your channel, have you put on here what player you own?
Thanks for watching, and I hope you subscribe. I have a Panasonic UB820 player. Down in the Description Section, I list all of my equipment.
so many same movies here^^
