The fact that the case made a 4090 look like a regularly proportioned card was actually impressive. See alot of cards barely fitting in New or old cases these days.
the 4090 Founders Edition is not that big, only the custom designs are monsters
@@_K.A.R.thicc but yeah ur right
Your profile picture looks familiar. What is that?
Define R4 takes 4080 TUF easily. And that case is old. 😂
I agree, if you have a front mount 360 or bigger rad and fans, you have to watch if your GPU won't touch either of these components. With the latest rads going up to 45mm this is even more an issue.
Jay your videos have helped me through a really dark point in my life. I even built my first pc because of your channel. So thank you!
Keep your head up and game on, friend!
You're not alone, the world is in a dark place. Take care.
I hope you're feeling the love. You're here, and we're all better for it
This is the nicest comment section on RUclips ever 😭
Hang in there, bro. Everything gets better
I still use 3.5 drives for my media server storage - I tend to lean to having my build be an all in one solution, not just for gaming etc. I do like the fact that Lian-Li is still including a good enough amount of support for 3.5/2.5 drives.
Yes exactly! Do all be all machines! If you're spending all that money for a gaming PC you might as well realize its other potential, because a gaming PC is just a good PC with RGB. I have a box of 10 spare 1tb hard drives that Ive been slowly adding in. I need every drive bay I can find. Also still use my disk readers and no case has disk reader bays anymore. Having it in a standalone case does not help my desks sex appeal.
Jay your detailed post-build analysis of the case is exactly on point for an average person. You care about the things we'd care about. Great job. I appreciate your take on things!
I really love when Phil or Nick interject in the middle of builds / monologues. it brings a friendly feel to the videos.. Keep it up guys!
I love it when Phil LOL
I love their comments during videos too ha
You guys have some of the best B-roll shots out of any tech youtuber companies. Phil is a fantastic videographer.

IDK what the sponsors pay, but there is NO better advertisement for their products!
@@ASHBOT-OLDGUY especially the big lit up ROG logo in slow motion 😆😆
I just built my 1st computer in this case. Definitely learned some lessons, but overall I feel like I did a decent enough job with it. I can't wait to expand my skills with this case and really bling it out (more so than I did). I just wish the LCD galahad was available when I ordered everything!
I wanted to say thanks for all the knowledge. While I watched a metric crap ton of videos, I feel yours were the most helpful from buying, to building, to startup. Thanks!!
Thoroughly enjoyed the cinematic presentation to this build and not a 'build guide' format. Nice job! I love the Lian Li Dynamic cases but have been lured by the recently released Hyte Y70 Touch. I can't wait to see the new XL builds showcasing some built-in screens since it has so much space to accommodate.
i bought the o11mini for my first pc build. I put a 7900xtx and a 7900x in it. The temps are great, works better than I could have hoped for. Makes a year in February and still going strong. Watching videos like this made me really get interested in p.c building, and tech in general. Im almost done with my degree and to be honest i learned more from tech videos on youtube than i did in the classroom.
13000 watts is for the new 50 series gpu's😂😂😂😂😂😂 Lian li makes such nice pc goodies!!!! Nice case. Huge and looks quite heavy!
The 4090 I’ve played soo many games a never had it go to 600 watts for anything actually I play 120hz 4k ultra graphics and it only uses like 300 watts then if you turn on dlss and framegen it’ll make it the 4090 only need to use like 40% of the card to get 4k 120fps. So I choose to use dlss cuz it saves power by a lot
Will it come with a free welding rod so we can do some welding when we're not gaming?😂
@@goldenheartOh 😁 😂 😀 🤣 😁 😂 😀
@@cameronm6336 God, I hope it never goes to 600W. Also, why do so many people say their monitor refresh rate? You do know you could run a 1660 at 360Hz, it doesn't really change that you're pumping out 15FPS, right?
@@cameronm6336 You’re not playing most modern triple A titles at 4k 120hz, especially not with 40% utilisation
I love it! This is the case I have been waiting for years! 😍 Thank you for the review. Keep up the excellent work!
Great video, great content. I absolutely love the Lian Li 011 series. I have a 011 Dynamic myself and it was an absolute breeze to build, and looks amazing. I will probably always go with that same series case if I ever need to replace it.
I have been using the old school original O11D for 3 years now and it is amazing to see how many improvements they have made in such a short period of time. My O11 was easily the best case I had ever built in and Lian Li are not sitting on their laurels and improving all the time.
the Obsidian 1000D will always be the king of cases in my heart
I have one huge
Didn’t say pc in my house it was need to use the monster and play some games.
First time checking out your channel, your style is great!
Just built in one myself and I love it to bits. No cable management issues, tons of space, looks killer. Excellent case.
I love the O11 Dynamic cases. My friend asked me to build his case and he really liked the look of the normal O11. Might need to keep an eye on the O11 Dynamic XL for my next personal build
I just got the original xl for my personal build. Needs two power supply’s. One of only a handful of cases that allow for that
Phil's editing is incredible
Jay the music hits hard with this installation!
Diggin the build tune! Mesmerizing.
I love the EVO and it’s a huge bonus, in my opinion, that they are designed to be able to be inverted, which is rare among modern cases.
Amazing presentation and editing, as always! Great engineering on the case by Lian Li as well! I'm just not sold on the same old case design that's been the go to look for half a decade now. I feel like if I'm going through the trouble of building my own PC, I want it to be unique in some way and that's just too hard to do with the O11 anything anymore.
I'd rather they continue to improve and innovate with the O11 rather than changing it just to make it look "unique". If it ain't broke don't fix it!
neat little case. i love that modularity with all the mounting options especially for cable management, and i definitely like how wide it is
such beautiful components, id love to have something even close to this, as im sure many others would as well
Pretty much the same build I did right after the 4090 came out lol. Only differences water cooled 4090, regular 7950x, G Skill Z5, and Corsair AIO and fans. A lot of your videos are what helped me with my setup.
Similar build here too, FD Torrent case, 4090 Strix, 7950X, G-Skill Z5 and Arctic Freezer II 420 (tubes down) and ASrock X670E Taichi.
@meson183 how you like that AIO and Taichi board?
@@jcg702 The X670E Taichi is a stable board. No issues with it accepting the DDR5 6000 CL30 and running it on it's XEPO profile. The way it allocates it's PCIe lanes was also something I looked into carefully before buying it.
The Artic Freezer II 420 is excellent. But know that if you're going to put one in an FD Torrent case, you will have to trim the bottom fan bracket with a Dremel to make it fit. You can find pics of this online.
I also used a Thermalright Contact Frame with the 7950X, but that's to stop the thermal paste from getting into those stupid IHS notches.
Overall, it works really well.
Nice! Try the card in vertical mode too, I recommend it. Make sure the fans are running intake behind the card for better cooling if you do.
These types of videos are best. Simple banter, same old jokes and cool looking montage. Btw Phil, that soundtrack you used for the montage was awesome. Spot on
This is why I come here. The incredible build montages you guys make are second to none. Also, dad jokes and Phils insane laughter. Never change Jay and team!
Nice build! I would not know where to put this huge unit in my office though. That new Galahad looks great, I’m wondering the price on it though. Looks expensive. Only issues with cases this large is you have to have a lot of fans to really push the air through it. I just built in a lancool 216 and I found it the perfect size. Very impressed with their products even though they can be expensive.
I love it!! Looks so good!!
watching the build was therapeutic. wonderful edit. 5 stars
It makes me think of my Obsidian case I had for a long time. Everyone who walked into my apartment, the first thing they all noticed and commented on was the computer. "Jeez, that computer is huge." And then I would tell them it had 2 computers in it. The Obsidian could hold an ATX and miniATX motherboard at the same time. So I had my gaming machine and my streaming machine in the same box. I would also use it to 2box in games like Star Wars The Old Republic and Lord of the Rings Online.
Thumbs up for the wonderful completed PC montage (Phil). For every fantastic video that Jay pushes out, there are many hours of skilled and creative work from Phil. I used to work in a shop where we created custom videos for top corporate clients for Initial Public Offers (aka: roadshows). Phil's skill easily equals or surpasses the skills of the best video creators in our shop. Outstanding job. And of course, very well presented by Jay.
Great video. Lian Li never disappoint. I'm using the Lancool II atm and love it. Does everything I need for my 12700k 3080 12gb build. Thanks Jay!
I got this case but the Silver/Black ROG version, wanted a ROG and Lian Li build this time. 7950X3D, 4090 Strix OC, filled the case with 7 Lian Li AL120 aRGB fans plus a ASUS ROG Ryujin III 360. Manually set all fans to constant speed even the AIO to keep everything quiet, so far Im more than impressed with the case. Dead silent and temps are good during load.
Love seeing Lian-Li continue to improve their designs. I've got an O11 Air Mini and absolutely love it! Had to buy a new case to fit a 6800XT 😂 So glad I bought the Air Mini!
Nice case! Really disappointed it didn't get the full Jay/full loop treatment. That's really where this case shines after all. GGF did an amazing build in this a month or so back.
Pretty dope song selection during the build Phil.
I'm really diggin' that build brother. I WANT it! veddy nice
Lian Li has really outdone themselves. The O11 Dynamic EVO XL is an amazing and well thought out design. I love it! It will be the go-to case for years to come.
Looks as crappy as the rest of them :))) If I need a fish tank, I buy a fish tank :)))
Even the smaller version is the go-to case compared to other cases
i got the non xl Evo & like it very much
I’m looking at getting one of those cases, only thing I don’t like about it is where the USB ports and power button are located, definitely prefer those to be top mounted, but with the water cooled build I’m planning, it just makes sense to go with that case.
The USB ports etc are moveable - I think to the sides - and maybe to the top - but it will affect the clean lines if you do that
@@fordlaz7796 didn’t know you could move it to the top, I knew you could move it around on the bottom
@@ForOdin my apologies. I’ve just checked the manual and you can only move it around the bottom of the case - either to the front (where it is by default) or to the sides - but only at the bottom.
@@fordlaz7796 crap, well, I’m sure there are some 3D printable upgrades online, I’ll just start looking for them
@@fordlaz7796 moving to the top is an option on the standard EVO, not the XL.
Dude, this video inspired me to go from my mostly-white build with my O11 Dynamic XL to a black out build with this case and the Gallahad 2 LCD AIO...also swapped my Corsair QL white fans for the Lian Li Infinity black and my build looks sick AF...so happy with the aesthetics...Thanks for the inspiration, Jay! Oh, and I have the rather large Asus Tuf Gaming OC 4090, and that support bracket works perfectly!
Phil I like this shutup and watch approach with no talk but just watch and build. Nice job.
One of the most underrated features of the O11 series is the inclusion of the 3.5in hard drive cage which is hot swappable. So many new cases either omit it completely or just throw in a cage at the bottom of the chassis which is the least accessible part of the case. The 3.5in drives are wonderful for archive storage and the newer ones are virtually silent. If you don't want to rely on external storage systems which add to clutter and can be expensive (for NAS), or just need an extra layer of backup, the Lian Li implementation here is top of the list. There are many things to like about this case but for me this feature tops all.
The case designers at Lian Lii really are brilliant. To this day I think the Dynamic is the most convenient case to build in.
I thought so too, until I combined EK PE radiators with the front-distro. Would have bet that an O11 couldn't feel small, but I had to unmount the mainboard to switch a USB2.0 header. Oh well, next time I'll buy the EVO.
Just got done putting mine together Monday!
New fan and love your videos. A lot of helpful info and honestly I have learned so much because of this channel. One day I’ll be able to get a pc like this monster lol. Until then I’ll enjoy watching you guys build the pc of people’s dreams. The drip is real 🤤
I love case videos. They are so overlooked yet so essential for every build. And you can make your system look so good, just by upgrading case.
I need only one GPU/CPU video to make decision but im watching 10 videos to chose right case!
the "Pleb*" build
Perfect
Jay, I don’t think you realise just how popular, not that you’re not already popular) but even more popular, if you was to upload content every other day lol. Comedy factor ontop of actually educating content is something you’re far more superior in than other content creators. Love your content
I totally agree, but what about the quality potentially being lost.
@@Adamsgotgame I guess so yeah. Quality over quantity 100%. I was insinuating something more vlogish style/day in life sort of content; but without turning away from showcase builds, reviews, testing etc. He has level of sense of humour that he could have a camera pointed at him and just talk about random stuff and be sufficiently entertaining and engaging without being overly frivolous. Just a thought 🤷🏽♂️ Anecdotally, I also watch LTT (and their other 58293 channels), TechSource and occasionally Austin Evans (mainly because Austin’s voice and persona is relatively annoying lol, not to mention his content is extremely repetitive). LTT uploads usually multiple times per day across all their channels, with a fair amount of it just seems forced in some way, like, they will make a video about literally anything they see just so they upload something, if that makes sense. Whereas Jay uploads less frequently, but actually puts time, effort and adds his personal narrative into his videos which makes it far more engaging and enjoyable to watch. As opposed to just selling themselves out to whatever company is willing to throw the most sponsorship $ at the video..
Now, this is awesome. I'm looking at this case for my next build, and you just happened to make a video a week before. With basically the same parts
Thinking of doing an all black themed with this case. Thanks for the video Jay!
Nothing like a JTC vidjia with my coffee this morning ☕♥love your op af builds ^_^
After watching your video, I went over to Tustin Micro Center today and picked up this case. Was on the edge of getting the Dynamic EVO, but after watching the video review, the XL was the way to go. Thanks Jay!
I've been waiting for this video!
Jay really on form with this one. Jay and Phil and so funny. Love their sence of humour that they inject. I always look forward to a new video.
Dream PC… can’t believe you’re surrounded by such stuff! Lovely job 👍🏻😃
PHIL! Your edits are so damn good! The way the video goes with music. You know what I'm talking about. Its perfect!
That's the case for me finely. Thanks guys yall rock
As a user of the dynamic XL this has some really nice improvements, the only ding is the CPU bracket cutout being missing, that would be huge pain to swap water blocks to have to remove the board to do so. I really love that they listened to users and made some good improvements, the HDD cages are not mini ovens now.
Great Montage again Jay. 1st class
Jay's humor always gets me. Thank you for the laughs.
I have the old 011 D XL and really love it. My only gripe with it are the slots in the top and bottom, don't go far enough towards the front of the case to properly align radiators with a side distro plate.
Bought this case a couple weeks back so im pleased to see you liked it
I always love Jay's enthusiasm, and his wit. He always knows what some people will comment, if he puts in something like a "Oh yeah, I just had a 4090 sitting in the back" comment. lol! :D
I just transfered and upgraded to this monster and im absolutely in love with it. Came from the standard 011 DE. TBH lately ive spent more time staring at my PC than my monitors lol its just beautiful and such a joy to build in.
I've been waiting for the XL for some time. I guess they finally did it.
I have to check the differences between o11D XL if it is larger but most def is and will swap it.
As always thanks Jay!
I'm relatively new here and I must say that I love the fact that camera operator is interacting with the host. Cameraman is there not only for, well, recording video but he's actually a part of the video too. Nice to see that.
that case is very nice. i love what they are doing with cases now. my last build was in 08 and the cases were far short of what they are now. i just finished a new build last month, i went with the Phanteks NV7 and the outcome was awesome. it was so nice to work in that case, and the lian li fans look great inside. wish i could find some reverse fans for it. the thing that really made the nv7 a winner for me was the door on the back of the case to hide all the cables. My case is on the floor in the middle of the room so wires hanging out the back isnt ideal.
beautiful build and a great looking case I'm looking for cases for my first ever build and stumbled upon this video lol wish I could afford the parts to build something like that. Great work
Just finished my build in my o11 dynamic evo yesterday and i absolutely love, building in it
The build montage was the sexiest tech video I have **ever** seen.
Good freaking job, Phil.
I just rebuilt my pc into this case and love it. I went with the upright GPU mount too. I love the way it looks. So clean and pretty.
I can watch Jay videos all day ... every day !
absolutely gorgeous for such a simple build, think the white versions with the white infinity fans and vapor wave colors on the RGB for my next build
I have built up my Evo XL and it's an awesome case and so easy to build in. I'm still waiting for my LC gear from EK (who to be perfectly honest have been super disappointing by constantly pusjing out the restock time of their components). Have picked up the distro plate for the front glass which hopefully will be really cool when everything eventually gets here. One thing you didn't mention is the front support bracket between the two glass plates come off which makes everything look super clean. Finally - I want to add that Lian Li's support is excellent - my case arrived with some damage to the panels (scratches on the brushed aluminum - YES - it's clearly possible!!) and Lian Li has commited to replacing the affected panels without any issue.
Jay you just saved my bacon I'm just getting a 011 mini build with a 240 galahad 2 aio and have added the uni fans infinity to the bottom and top, but didn't even consider I would need the reversible on the bottom for intake. Saved me a fupar. So glad I've just seen your video. Big thumbs up mate
Finally an O11 I can see myself using. Once I have my NAS up and running that is. Those two 3.5" hot swap bays made it perfect.
Watching this just after I rebuilt my system in this case. A LOT faster than my other one! That cable management stuff made it super quick in comparison!
I love my 0-11 Dynamic, and it's filled with SL-120 infinity fans too. What I don't understand is why, with all the technology around today, Lian-Li haven't made a reverse function for the fans in their L-Connect software. That way you can have all the infinity faces showing without having to buy "reverse" fans (not available from my parts supplier here in Aus), but have some as intakes, and others as exhausts without the need to cover parts of the fan with the back of the fan cage.
I built my first PC a few years ago watching your videos. I have 2 m.2 SSDs and 2 3.5" hard drives for storage. The 3.5" drives have a big capacity that I use for archives as I am a data hoarder. I work with digital models constantly and like having 10TB there as I need it, and it was relatively inexpensive
Nice case! If I didn't already have a Meshify 2 XL I would consider it.
This might be the coolest case I’ve ever seen. I was at a MC yesterday and saw it and was very close to walking out with it lol. Holding out till the next gen or when my EVGA 3080ti (hybrid) dies (hopefully never). But water looping in this would be so sick. What a gorgeous case. Thx Jay!
I’m pretty sure this is the case that I will use in my next build. Currently in a Lian Li Mesh 2 I believe.
I have an o11 dynamic mini airflow version. Love this line of cases!
Gorgeous build.
I got the dynamic evo, it's amazing. I got those reverse infinity fans in the bottom and the side also, they make it look so clean!
i just upgraded from a Regular dynamic XL to this one and its really nice. the amount of space is just incredible
everytime I watch this channel I think how much fun it must be to assemble pcs for a living, love it
I have a Lian Li O11 Dynamic XL and it is without a doubt my favorite case.
very attractive build. It looks amazing.
Solid!
Top KEK!
Peace be with you.
As an owner of O11D XL i must say this is a nice evolution. I really like the mesh panels instead of cutouts, magnetic filters are nice, being able do do the "right-hand" and "left-hand" side build is nice addition, and the redesigned gpu sag bracket finally looks like i would be able to even mount it... but personally i wouldn't trade my trusty old one for this. The IO panel on bottom is a dealbreaker for me - i have no space on the desk to put the case and this renders all 4 USB ports pretty much unusable for me.
Looks like a great case.... but I'm very much waiting for you to get your hands on the in win modular case, seems to be a great idea!
I dont have the EVO XL but my OG XL has the same 4x hotswap 3.5 drives that I use for a RAID array for video production... this is one of the few cases that had that functionality and why I bought the XL.
Love this case! I was debating wether to get this or the NV7. I went with the second one in the end, but I still think this one is also amazing.
I have this case all in white. You are also able to take out the front support bracket. It's made that way so you can take it out. You don't lose anything and you get a seamless glass look.
Phil is a man who montages gloriously, brilliant videographer. Brilliant overview of the case to.
Infinity mirrors look amazing on the fans!
Such a clean build
It's an HD-Audio Extension cable, I believe it is for if you convert the case to be the other orientation, which puts you MB upside down so the pre-wired FP audio connector can reach.
