When this song came out, I played it so much and so often, people thought I was mentally ill LOL. The studio version is absolute perfection, and still to this day I absolutely LOVE this song.

Supertramp is definitely 1 of my favorites especially in a small Theater like the Tower I've been a fan since the beginning So sad all these amazing Bands are done
I love this song. It is a great one to jam to in the car while driving. I believe it was the their last song to be released on Top-40 radio. The entire album is excellent.
This was the only Supertramp song to make the dance chart. The track became Supertramp's last US Top 40 single to date, peaking at number 28 on the Billboard singles charts in July 1985. It also crossed over to the dance charts, peaking at number nine.
It certainly is a great song, it feels more like a Rick Davies song than a true Supertramp song though. Roger had left by this song but had they still been together I would honestly say this is one of the best SUPERTRAMP songs.
I agree, Sir Neville. Rick Davies was undoubtedly a huge driving force in the group as it eveolved, but never seemed over concerned with seeking the plaudits for Supertramp's success. The internal politics and dynamics of the band no doubt went on, but thank goodness they pulled together to create the great material for the time spent together. . It occurs that there are parallels to be drawn between The Doobie Brothers , such is their versatility and sustained quality
Supertramp is a supergroup. This is my fav song of theirs. I've been a lifelong fan since "Crime..." Saw them in Burlington VT during their "Crisis, What Crisis?" tour in '73. Their live performances are studio perfection. They never miss a note.
great talent and creativity...super fine songwriting, great arrangements and performances...always a treat to see and hear super fine musicians in concert..thanks...so cool
Love the studio version. Great sound for testing your high-end audio equipment. Now if I could get the glass table tops to stop dancing when I play this track.
4 o 5 clases de teclados una fusion magistral en este clasico Supertramp una banda adelantada a su epoca, 4 or 5 kind of keyboards a perfect fusion a classic Supertramp song a band ahed on time
I love listening to the lamb lies down on Broadway when stoned and I used to love dark side until the bloody clock alarms start because it can send you on a whitey if you’re not ready for them. 🙈😳😵💫☠️🤢🤮🤣
Rick Wrigt (Pink Floyd), Rick Wakeman (Yes) and Rick Davies (Supertramp) are for me the top keyboard players. But Rick Davies is the most incredible and touching for me (piano on "Crime of the Century", "Bloody well right" and above all ever-best solo on "Child of vision")
Rick is different. I wish he'd try to pick up playing the guitar. I have no doubt that with his passion he could do so and it would have sounded unique.
This is just incredible ! I love the whole brother album ! Cannonball not being my favourite one but I have to admit here, what a treat, my God Rick you 're rolling so well, so swell.I love you !
Pity these guys broke up. Apparently a fair amount of bitterness involved.Glad that they resolved a certain amount of differences so that these videos have reappeared. For a few years there was no way you'd get to see a ST video on YT

Musically this stands on it's own merits- was Rick in rivalry with the other half of Supertramp composer? Doesn't really matter, each part of the larger whole.
Fair question Peterson. Short answer, NO - Rick always took the high road, never really commenting...yet for 35 years, Roger Hodgson has bitched and moaned about the agreement HE signed when exiting the band. All that time, energy, and angst over splitting from Supertramp. I like his music, A LOT, but not his attitude. I like Rick's music (A LOT), and his focus - on music.

For GOD, Supertramp is a wonderful Band and unforgetable. A great rock group.
IT DOESNT GET ANY BETTER ya Baby Ya!!!? Merry Xmas!
Genios.
When this song came out, I played it so much and so often, people thought I was mentally ill LOL. The studio version is absolute perfection, and still to this day I absolutely LOVE this song.
Orgasmic intro. When everything works like a clock. Awesome.
I like they can join perfectly pop and jazz and this is not easy at all
Rick's voice is an instrument. He has his own unique style of singing.
ABSOLUTELY!
Sax player was amazing here as well guitarists and who played synths and 🎹 of gifed richar davies of course
i dont like him !!!l like roger hodgson !!!!!!
En absoluto! Pone todo!! Gran tema!

II been listening to supertramp since 1973 . Seen them back in Madison . Wis many times Chicago great !
Saw them live Santa Monica live 1979, incredible!!
Grandes Supertramp !!! Con Roger o sin el, ETERNOS !!!!
En una sola nota.
Thanks
When will we ever again have as talented a pianist, singer and composer as Rick Davies?
IMO...The best Supertramp song ever...jus' sayin'...

Such a refreshing sound these guys had. Go from easy to hard effortlessly.
This is pop with some jazz influences
One of the greatest breaks in music ! 6:26
Great solo of Mark Hart. Increíble!!
They even kept the manic laughs in the middle... goosebumps
Forgot how good this song was...
Always liked the sly little 007 musical reference around the 6:00 mark.

Supertramp got more interesting and deeper after Roger.
I agree with you. One can see the desire in Rick to elevate the group to a higher level post Roger.
Rick is the one that liked to get on the train and Choo Choo. 'Rudy' and 'Another Man's woman along with this song allowed him to let loose.
