    I got the Derma B sunscreen last month before a family trip to Colorado and I found it was the go-to sunscreen for my whole family. It's hard to get my teenage boys to wear sunscreen when they're not at the pool but you can burn easily there even if you're not swimming. I was so happy to find that they would apply this sunscreen without any argument. It really is a nice one! I'll definitely repurchase.

    Lately my favorite body sunscreen has been the Banana Boat Light as Air SPF 50 lotion. It's so easy to blend in (no residue), works on the face, chemical/organic SPF. I have very sensitive skin and this never irritated me. It does have fragrance but honestly its so deliciously sweet and light. Everything about it is ~light as air~ and I cannot get enough of it. Also water resistant 80 min!

      Banana boat is not vegan nor cruelty free

    • @SuuupaaaChip
      @SuuupaaaChip Год назад +3

      @@carlamedina3517 “cruelty free” claims are not really what we think they are. Also I am going to prioritize an excellent & budget friendly product even if they’re widely considered “not cruelty free/vegan.” I was just sharing what I love using. I know Cass has her preferences and understand why. But I can’t be caught up in that for my own decisions. Neutrogena has some of the best sunscreens…… as well as Banana Boat.

    • @SuuupaaaChip
      @SuuupaaaChip Год назад

      @@imawakemymindisalive13 I’ve used N Beach Defense stick before and that’s very greasy but I still use it bc don’t want to waste. From my knowledge of watching reviews on YT, Banana Boat light as air is definitely lighter than N Beach Defense. Check Kelly Driscoll’s video about water resistant sunscreens.

    • @SuuupaaaChip
      @SuuupaaaChip Год назад +1

      @@imawakemymindisalive13 I can confirm now that BB LAA is much lighter than N Beach Defense. I used NBD all summer 2023, as well as BB LAA, and the former is heavier, thicker, more water resistant, and more likely to leave residue/slight cast (more likely on dark skin), overall more robust than BB LAA. As of the experience application & wear, BB LAA is superior IMHO.

    My go-to is a little basic: Hawaiian Tropic Sheer Touch. I've used it for a few years now, and I've yet to find a formula I love more. Another factor to look for: Is it reef safe? I know Cassandra cares about animals and the environment, so I'm surprised she didn't mention it. However, I did realize that I've only ever lived on the coast of something. LOL I grew up in the NYC area and I'm back here now. Spent my weekends on the Jersey shore. (Shout out if you recognize the lyric.) And then the only other place I've lived was either the east or west coast of Florida. So, there's always been an ocean around. If you're just a pool swimmer, I guess you don't have to worry about reefs. 🤷‍♀🤣

      Technically pretty much all uv filters are shown to bleach coral to some degree, even zinc oxide, in their in vitro settings

    I ruined a luxury leather handbag by wearing sunscreen. I will not tolerate this bullshit for my life. Which sunscreen can I wear on my entire body, in the blistering South Florida heat, and not destroy my precious handbags? They did not deserve this betrayal.

    Why does she only ever recommend expensive products? She's so disconnected from reality in terms of money. Also childish and unprofessional.
