My favorite is the Matte Screen. Sad that it never gets talked about only because people prefer everything glowy. It's the only sunscreen that doesn't mess with my makeup.
I'm with you - I don't want more glow/shine.
I also find I can get a glow while wearing it from the serum I wear underneath. It's just not oily
I have always liked the look of "matte" skin! If it is perfectly smooth without any texture and dry looking! No sweat! No oily sheen!
Kroger has a really great dupe for the Unseen Sunscreen out now. It's their second formulation of the product and I learned about it from Dr. Drey's review of it a couple of weeks ago and went out and bought it to try myself and it is definitely a dupe. They also had in stock sitting ❤right next to it a large bottle of a dupe for the Unseen Sunscreens oil spray sunscreen. Both sunscreens were under $10.00 and waterproof to 80 minutes. Dr.Drey's video about it is off the chain 😂.
I wouldn't say the Kroger one is good. It's got mineral oil in it which always makes me look super oily and I have dry skin. And I wish it didn't have the orange peel in it because it's irritating, but also makes the texture and color weird.
I have oily skin and the Kroger unseen is not it. I thought since the glow screen one is fragrance free the unseen would be too, it's got orange peel oil, lemon peel oil, limonene, fragrance. The main issue is the fragrance is heavy and it's a weirrrddddd texture and color. To each their own but the OG is much better (the unseen one)
Wait.. I am SHOCKED you didnt include the Kroger dupe. They have it on the package that its comparable to Supergoop sunscreen! Its $11.99 for 3oz at my local kroger (fred meyers) where the $38 dollar supergoop is 1.7oz
I purchase the gallon of sunscreen about twice a year. Their play works for me regularly and while running. If I'm running, it goes on the face, too. I've used the glow screen for years, which included a single shade. I go between the glow screen and Iris & Romeo's weekend skin (cruelty free and vocally pro choice). If Supergoop was vocally pro choice, it would be all I buy.
I’d really like to see someone talk a skin routine for when you’re depressed or to exhausted I sometimes work 12 or 14 hour days and find it difficult to take care of myself when so exhausted
Avene has a cleanser that’s a gentle one. It’s a no rinse formula. You can literally sit in bed, put it on and then wipe it gently off with a wet cloth. DONE! 😂

I have to say I absolutely HATED the Trader Joe’s sunscreen. It burned my eyes to a degree I can confidently say I’ve NEVER experienced with another sunscreen. Glad it works well for some people tho.

I tried purchasing the supergoop once, and then I never stopped. I tried others along the way, but I tend to reach for the Supergoop unseen sunscreen instead. Then I bought the matte version and loved it too. My skin is oily, blemish/acne prone, and sensitive, so I was glad to have finally found a sunscreen that doesn't break me out, doesn't sting my skin or eyes, and doesn't make me look like a greasy mess. I struggle with issues like this when it comes to sunscreen by other brands. I know that Supergoop is really expensive, but to me, it's worth every penny. It doesn't curdle up after skincare, and it acts like a primer under makeup. It's been my holy grail for about 3 years now.
Hi! First of all, you introduced me to The Ordinary products and literally saved my face and I’ll be forever grateful. So thank you for that! I’m shopping around for a sunscreen that I can put on in the morning AFTER my toner/niacinamide/hyaluronic acid/ moisturizer and BEFORE my primer/ foundation/ the works - here’s the kicker- that doesn’t pill up or get stuck in my bb hairs and look like dandruff. Help?

I do like the ELF, better than the goop glow, because that one makes me break out soooo bad. I also like the Trader Joe’s one but it does give me lil bumps so ehh. Beauty of Josen and Sun Bum clear zinc is still the BEST for myself

I have a powder sunscreen I got from Derma E at Ulta for only $24, SPF 30 with a slight tint. Much easier to get your hands on
I remember having used an Isdin sunscreen that was clear at least ten years ago. It was awesome but super expensive. Back then my father paid for my skin care. I changed to neutrogena for several years because it was the most effective and affordable option I had available. Since 4 years ago I started using the powder sunscreen also from Isdin but they discontinued it last year and this year they have released a very small version of the original one. My skin is oily so it was so perfect. However, I was only applying powder sunscreen which we all here now that is best used for re applying. Anyway, currently I'm using an ISDIN sunscreen with white cast and one with the wrong tone (they have a line with different tones) and it cost the same that supergoop but I don't have that in my country and I have no idea if the clear one still exists. Is hard for my budget that the most expensive part of my skin care is the one that I would definitely wouldn't give up.

I really want to find a dupe for the unscean screen that uses newer sunscreen filters like those found in Korean or Japan or the EU. I love that silicony feel, but I want the newer filters

I don't know if you have in another video, but can you review the Supergoop body oil? I have it and have used it a few times, but it still makes me think of tanning oil and it feels backwards to me. Maybe I'm just nuts. I do have that gallon of Play lotion and it's 100% worth it.
Did anyone catch the consumer report article that came out in May or June where they tested a bunch of different sunscreens? The supergoop varieties they tested came out to only protect at an SPF of 8... ?????

Please try the Bare Republic Clearscreen invisible sunscreen
The TJs sunscreen also made me breakout but how it wears and feels on my skin is also not similar to Supergoop. It's heavier and doesn't dry as well. If it didn't break me out, though, I'd tolerate it and wear it but it was BAD.
Minimalist has an unseen dupe too. So do many other Indian brands now.

Cassandra, this isn't about sunscreen, but I need to ask you something. During the school year, I work as a librarian during the day and workout in the evening. I take off all my makeup and double-cleanse before doing so. I also double-clense again before bed. Is three times a day too much? What should I do instead? Your advice is always top-notch.
It can be. If you’re super oily and tolerate it then I don’t see a problem.
@mignonalverson2475 Thank you for replying. I just worry because after working out, I am super sweaty and have sunscreen on (I reapply it after I take my makeup off before the gym). I know my skin needs to be cleansed, but I wonder if double-cleansing again is needed? I would say my skin is combination/oily skin.

The only reason that I use the supergoop play sunscreen is because it’s the only body sunscreen that I can find that had a pa++++ rating. If I could find a different brand with a pa++++ rating I would ditch the supergoop in a heartbeat because I am not to keen on giving money to a brand that promotes putter a jade egg up your vag or magic stickers that make you digest food better or some shit. I just really want high UVA protection.

Any afforable non-nano zinc sunscreens? I can't do chemical because I have sensitive skin, and I struggle with mineral/physical sunscreens because they break me out. The only one I've found that works okay is the Matte Screen by Supergoop and using their powder spf for touch ups, but neither are waterproof so....what do I do if I want to swim or go for a hike in the summer when I'll be sweating?
Sensitive skin here. I bought the Blackgirl sunscreen for face. It’s 80 minutes water resistant, fragrance free, EO free, and is comfy on the face. But, if you’re super oily you won’t like it. This sunscreen does not burn my eyes.

STOP!! I don't understand why they review products without using them as they are, I really wanted to try elf because they say it is the dupe of supergoop plus the cost.
Now, if it looks a little similar in terms of transparency; But the reality is different:
I started using supergoop, it's quite oily, heavy BUT it doesn't leave your face shiny or oily. IT'S PRETTY GOOD, MINUS THE COST. It also doesn't leave an erasing effect like the ELF brand does: TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED :( I had thought: EUREKA! It will be the same and at a much lower cost. Prepare my face (wash my face, use vitamin C, then apply moisturizing cream) When I applied the elf as a final product, what a surprise. I would give it less than 0 stars if it existed.
Until now I will continue using Supergoop while I get a similar one at a more reasonable cost.
Nah, I'd just stick to Korean Sunscreens. We have Beauty of Joseon and Skin 1004 putting out amazing ones with advanced filters for about the same price.

chemical uv filters aren't harmful but if you want to you can always use mineral sunscreen

Highly recommend looking at lab muffin beauty science to get studies and backing from reputable lab work on how this is not true especially not in the amounts found in sunscreen

I’d actually use a sunscreen if they were odourless and fragrance free.
Blackgirl sunscreen for the face. It’s fragrance free, alcohol free, and EO free. It does not sting my eyes and I’m SUPER sensitive. If you’re oily you won’t like it.
