A friend and I did some testing of the vision system and we were able to confirm that the vision system reduction in camouflage is multiplicative, not subtractive. As in a moving tank with 100% camo would be at 87.5%. Also, the 20% reduction to bush camo acts on the camo applied by the bush, nothing to do with the tank's camo. Well, 100% camo would go to 87.5% regardless, so that's kind of a bad example. But what you mean is, a moving tank with 20% camo would go to 17.5%, not 7.5%, correct? And if a bush normally adds 30% to a tank's camo, it would then add only 26.25%. Makes a lot more sense this way, otherwise a tank with less than 12.5% moving camo would get a negative camo value, i.e. one would spot it beyond their view range... 🤔 Also, thanks for your research :)
@@jullit31 Yes you are exactly correct, I just used an extreme example. Typically bushes add either 25% or 50% to the tanks camo, with a maximum bush camo from multiple bushes of 80%

If the enemy is behind a 25% bush and has a stationary camo > 40% (roughly), the vision system is better; if instead their stationary camo is < 40%, optics are better. However, now that low tier equipment is much cheaper and more importantly can be removed without gold there's really no need for them to be removable for free. The only downside is that I have to buy like 5 more binos for my higher tier tanks that used to just swap 2 of them...
if i were to try and fix it i would make binos free to move about tanks again and id remove the commanders vision system, its broken completely, also i have 48 tier 8 tanks, to mount binos on all of them i would need to pay 28 million credits . . . its utter bullshit
@@Sibula basically, you and players like you are the reason why they made binoculars and camo nets non-removable. According to WG, a small but still significant percentage of players still played their tier 10 meds and heavies with bino+net combo and used one or few sets of it for all their tanks! Also please note, they introduced the free demount kit long before they made nets and binos non-removable.
Bonds is way better because they want more people getting them, ie playing tier 10 which costs credits... a lot of them. Which takes premium accounts - gold - and real cash to play in consistently. Simple as that. Bonds = for the best players - best players = spend real money = best players pay to win. Which all comes down to Wargaming making money.

Instead of the "Improved Ventilation" there can be an item like soft/comfort seats for the crew. That would be fair for all tanks, the open and the closed tanks!
I put it on my 260 and used a the +10% engine power consumable just for the lols. It went a solid 64kph on flat ground and 60 on slight inclines xD you can catch any medium and even some light tanks like this xD
"Spent a lot of credits." That is what is all bout, WG making you spend credits/gold. Or for you to purchase credits. Was the new update just a way WG makes you spend real money on stuff?
No. From a business prospective you can't completely reset the meta overnight. You need to slowly ease players into the new changes and limiting the amount of new equipment a person can buy is the best way to do it. Of course that doesn't stop people with 20 million credits from gaining a bit of an advantage.
@@infinity-vm4ul Ok. So what you are saying is that WG is slowly forcing its player to spend money on WoTs to stay competitive/advantage. I am not trying to pick a fight with you or anyone. I just want to play my Tiger 1, a few tier 6's and tier 5's tanks without having to spend millions of credits to mount new equipment. The game is fine where it is, I do not see the need for new equipment that forces me to remove what I have and purchase new equipment. Few years ago when I had a premium account, some players would say the WoTs is 'pay to win'. I would say no, its 'play well to win' and that WG had every right to make a profit with their company. But after what WG has done in the past years it seems almost every major update is about the balance. Even QB has become one of the players that have gone over to the 'pay to win' side.
@@riff2072 at equal skill a player who spends money on the game will win more than a player who doesn't. this is why the game is considered pay to win. Yes a good player who doesn't spend money will win more than a bad player who does spend money, but that's not what makes a game "pay to win" or not, it's the fact that spending money will make any player win more than if they don't spend money. WOT is pay to win and it only keeps getting worse.
@@riff2072 They should nerf Gold to make the game be better actually gold should never exist and ammo bit more realistic Apcr highest pen lowest dmg, HEAT and AP about the same amount of dmg but AP have lower penetration where as HEAT easy to set off like HE which should have Highest dmg lowest pen and for arty loading time for heavier HE should be longer as its heavier its obvious it would take longer. Believe me it would make the game much better then it is.
After re-equipping only half of my tanks, I no longer have credits for new tanks and therefore no longer need gold to retrain ascending crews. Home goal WG, home goal.
One cool thing I noticed is that they added sounds for all equipment. I battle you can actually hear the vents hum, the turbocharger whine and reload sound change with gun rammer.
I am using a turbocharger alongside the improved rotation system and bond vents on my E 75 TS. The combo basically allows me to rush and change position like I was a medium, like a mini E 50.
You should do a series on fast how to references. Like "equipment slots 1-3". 1 is for yadda stuff, 2 is for yaddadadda stuff, and 3 is for dadda stuff. You know where it doesn't explore all the options but the focus is on equipment type using the symbols.
You’re kidding right? It so easy to understand. The first slot is specialized to whatever tank class you have. Heavies get Survivability, mediums get Mobility, lights get Scouting, TDs and arty get Firepower. If you, for example, put a gun rammer (which is Firepower equipment) in the Firepower slot in a TD, it gets a little bonus because it’s in the matching slot. You don’t HAVE to put a specific piece of equipment based on the special slot of a tank, like putting a rammer in survivability, but you won’t get the bonus. The other two slots have absolutely nothing changed. If I couldn’t explain it well, just go watch WG’s dedicated video.
@@deennice6035 Since figured that out. I blame poor implementation and design. Equipment dropped into slot 2 and 3. Retained the warning for slot 1 equipment. The warning "Equipment and slot category, do not match". After filling slot 1 it should have been removed on piece information. So once my mind went into "this is WOT programming". I simply ignored the design flaw and stuck what I wanted in there. Think figuring that out cost me 10 gold.
@@deennice6035 Yeh, I've finally got my head around it now. Still, it would have been pretty painless for WG to put a couple of sentences in the configuration screen explaining that.
Improved Configuration doesn't prevent fires from direct hits to the engine (only fuel tanks). First game in my IS-7 I screwed because I removed my fire extinguisher. Also Additional Grousers on an IS-7 is AMAZING, the improved ground resistance (or what ever) allows it to SHIFT and be a fast heavy.
45:23 I like how WG uses the same little girl for all the little girls, even the animations. Like the closest one with the blue skirt and the far left with the orange skirt does the exact same animation at the same time
QB, I have been following you since I started playing this game, about 6 years ago, and I can say that you’re the best about providing detailed information about this game.
This is exactly what I said earlier below your video: WG should be very careful about these equipments, because there are a lot of effects they will have overlooked, and it is impossible to make it all carefully balanced.
I put the exhaust system on my ELC Even 90 and now I have over 50% camo... while moving. It's ridiculous where I can go with this tank without being spotted.
@@DutchDude68 I'm running with vision system/exhaust/binos. My Crew is not good enough yet to drop binos for Optics and I like to passive scout in this tank.
Interesting take, although too focussed on high-tier stuff and P2Win setups. Still curious about the value of weak equipment on lower tier quirkier birds: Stuff like aiming system on KV2 where a shell missing by a fraction represents a massive loss in value given the loading times; concealment equipment on stugs; grousers on low tier casement TDs whose traverse is their major weakness, etc.
T95 with the new repair bonus equipment, why not leave the repair kit in but make it a Heavy repair kit which you never use, but gives you even more crew bonus to repairs. Get tracks back up in even less time and not spend credits on the repair kit.
The improved rotation only removes the dispersion from the extra rotation. So you are stuck with the stock dispersion. Without running stabs as well... Camouflage net is completely useless in anything but a long reload because it turns off just like a bush disappears when you shoot. So shooting every 6 seconds means you lose that camo every 6 seconds anyways.
If you only move your turret, it still more accurate, turning your vehicle as well and of course it goes to stock dispersion (which still better because without that bonus you will become less accurate than stock) Also you should be 15m away from bushes to maintain your camo anyway. Less than that and you may as well go into the open field.
Badger with Rotational equipment turbocharger and imprved vents now is playable . recahes above 30KPh so gets to position quicker , turns fast enough to counter flankers..totally playable finally.
Old player here, early 2012. I dont remember if stabilizers were in at the time, but standard load out seemed to be a gun laying drive, rammer, and vents on most tanks, with vents basically being mandatory. I had bought like 20-30 GLD back in like 2013/2014 on an equipment 1/2 off sale. Probably gonna go unmount all of those on tanks and sell my stock and slowly replace with stabilizers
@QuickyBaby I think they should count the weight of the sheels you are carrying. Let the increased load capacity equipments to increase the amont of the sheels which a tank is able to carry. And they should allow us to choose how many of the bonus sheels we will use.
I'm just scared that Wargaming won't release any equipment discounts anymore. Because they changed the prices of equipment at different tiers, they might think it's less relevant now. But I'm still waiting...
Gun laying drive is awful option when you can use both v.stabs and rotation mechanism to reduce the dispersion valeues by 30% with standard equipment and with bonded v.stabs and bounty rotation mechanism 42,5%
I agree that with the point made at 44:25-- this is a huge escalation in the game, and there's some inherit dangers involved. I'm using a supercharger on the T-54 mod. 1, and the tank now feels objectively better than most T-44s you'll encounter. Unless the T-44 is fortunate enough to: have all of its modules unlocked, be kitted out with the new equipment, and have a comparable 3-4 skill crew, you'll just dumpster it in a fight. That's my initial reaction anyways.
Your math for view range at 3:47 is incorrect.. spotRange = effViewRange - (effViewRange - 50) * camoValue 500 - (500-50) *0.25 = 387.5 not 375. Cheers!
In regards to the accuracy module over vents, not every tank can use vents just like the stabilizer. Alternatively, you can stack vents and the accuracy module if you really want to boost the accuracy of a tanks. Just my .02
I really like the low noise exhaust system on my grille 15. This tank is fast, but really easy to see, I've seen a very big difference in my spotted rate. I find this thing much better than the camo net since it affect all camo characteristic of the tank (moving, still, shooting, etc) and don't need to wait for the camo net to kick in, which allow me to move up, aim and shoot, much quicker than with a camo net (move, aim, wait for net, shoot). If you want to move back 15ft behind a bush after spotting something to shoot it's even faster. I feel this equipment is better on ultra camo tank(like QB said) and tank you don't want to be spotted when moving(paper thin tank). What do you guys think about that?
Was playing with the 53TP, Modified configuration installed, got shot by a Progetto 46 from the side, nothing has been damaged prematurely, instant fire from full hp, no fire suppressor cause I think I wouldn't become a Polish Barbecue party 2mins into the game, pretty much that 1 shot from Progetto took away most of my hitpoints, happy times.
I would say you can't go wrong with any of these: vents, optics, commander's vision system, improved hardening, rammer, turbocharger, stabiliser, rotation mechanism and modified configuration.
thanks to all of the equipment changes, I got enough credits from selling excess top tier equipment to buy the Conway (so I can grind to the Barn, although that gun ..) and the Lynx 6x6, with some top tier equipment left in reserve. Thank you WG for the free 10 mil credits (well, free ish)
When you have a shit tonne of tanks, you are going to broke ether with gold or with silver with the new equipments. And talking about broken things: QB, plz build a laser accurate spg, and you know what i mean
You dont have to. You can change the slots for free (right click on Equipment). And you can mostly now sell built in Equipment instead of only demounting for a kit/gold or break it.

I've been trying the spall liner on my VK100.01P, it never seems to do anything against arty, I've dropped it and now run hardening and improved config, wow, it felt like a baby Maus!
I agree with you on the camo net QB. It's just useless if you have knowledge of the bushes. That's why i don't use it on my SU-130PM and it allows me to max out my firepower.
@QuickyBaby idea for a video to go trough some more setups of your tanks. I think you have a wider understanding about the equipments and consumables than the rest of us and prolly know better what to combine for which tanks. Would be nice to see some and get ideas for own tanks.
Quicky! My 8 year old son and I love the content and tips as we grow with tanks. Do you have any videos on the better value: Crew books vs improved equipment? I understand that's 30k foot question, but if it helps narrow down- how about the 200k crew book across the team vs improved/bounty equipment. Again, big fan and hope you can provide some insights! Cheers and happy New Year
the ebr was using this commander vision system and spotted everyone on Murovanka, I don't think I have ever seen close to 11k spotting on that map... spent years to get a 5 crew skill on a med tier 10... did almost 0 spotting
QuickyBaby. You might want to revise your statement about the camo net being trash. Beat the camo/spotting value of this setup in a light tank. Slot One=Camo net. Slot 2 and or 3, Vision system/Binocs. move those 3 around the slots you will see what u can do

Lol Quicky, I put Improved Aiming at my SU-152, T30 (awful derpy gun although stats say otherwise) and done some miracle shots and like it so much!!! Even at close range T30 benefits for delivering well-placed shots. I think Improved Aiming should be used on TDs primarily and on those tanks whom guns you do not trust much. Part of it why I think it is not weak equipment is because I don't use consumables, and consumables pretty much distort true equipment stats.

We literally just went and tested to see if a turbo would increase turret rotation because of this video in a training room... a Turbo DID NOT increase turret rotation .. 105 octane did though (like it's description)
My basic set up for nearly every tank if possible is Vents/rammer/coated optics/if they ever made a 4th slot I would go Vertical Stabs obviously. As the crew skills come up to the mid elite level I may change optics for V/STBs. On TDs I prefer Binocs over Coated because theoretically you're sitting still more often waiting to snipe. And on certain tanks that no longer allow a gun rammer namely the pz3 I use vertical stabilizers and that is very dangerous at its tear if you choose to use the panzer 3 you're pretty much in the leopard2 of the low tiers. Very punchy 2.3 second gun in the long 50mm and decent armor with tremendous speed. I'm not afraid of anything in that tank and I'll give a Matilda plenty of respect and just punch the side with gold by out maneuvering it. If it finds itself in a high tier match just switch to a scout roll and it's still effective. Keep in mind that's the tank that overran most of Europe I don't think wargaming forgot that. On some heavy tanks I try outlandish setups like spall liner with vertical stabilizer and vents or camo net with turbocharger. For me personally I like to snipe and then brawl my way in for a knifefight if necessary so I try set up a jack of all trades. I recognize I'm just an okay player and so I try to maximize my DPM before anything else. I figure if I'm only going to get one shot off per game I might as well get four off. I tried the commander's vision device on my TX leopard and I'm sure it's pretty effective but maybe it'd be better served on a different tank I didn't notice anything spectacular about it on that vehicle. Another murderous vehicle is the VK 30.02 when set up with an elite tank crew and good equipment it plays the way you wish the panther did at its correct tier. It just doesn't come up against impossible matches very often and has a very high rate of fire and its fast and can ram, you can really make some credits in that tank I quickly used up all it's possible points for battle pass. Im eager to try the commanders vision device on one of my light tanks and see if it helps me complete those missions. But after this video maybe I will go back to binocs I just like seeing those reds while im on the move. Interesting points about the camo net. I love your statistical approach to all this. Also because my reason for playing this game at first was the idea of taking a tiger tank against loads of T34s and M4s and this is I guess an incite to player motivations, I deliberated for like a week on what to use my 15,000 harder and bonds on the M60 or tricked out tiger tank and I eventually went with tricked out tiger 1 tank full bond vent/rammer/optics because I would just have more fun with it I already have a leopard thanks for that video to. And it's been a dangerous tiger so far. Most people aren't afraid of the tiger1 in this game at all anymore this one changes that dynamic by 10%. Thanks QB keep up the videos.

The only downside is that I have to buy like 5 more binos for my higher tier tanks that used to just swap 2 of them...
whaaaaat that's bs
if i were to try and fix it i would make binos free to move about tanks again and id remove the commanders vision system, its broken completely, also i have 48 tier 8 tanks, to mount binos on all of them i would need to pay 28 million credits . . . its utter bullshit
@@Sibula Are you also Finnish like Valtteri Bottas? 🤔
QB has all the bonds, all the gold and none of the credits lolol

Bonds is way better because they want more people getting them, ie playing tier 10 which costs credits... a lot of them. Which takes premium accounts - gold - and real cash to play in consistently. Simple as that.
Bonds = for the best players - best players = spend real money = best players pay to win. Which all comes down to Wargaming making money.
i know what your saying, its like wg came out with these for people who dont plan/cant get bond equipment
@@mikemcniel3086 He's saying paying costumers want the best shit and not the run of the mill f2p crap. Anybody who plays a mobile game with guild system can attest to this.
Have not played for two years. Read the comments here and looks like nothing has changed, the game is still pay-to-win. ;D
Instead of the "Improved Ventilation" there can be an item like soft/comfort seats for the crew. That would be fair for all tanks, the open and the closed tanks!
Ive been using the turbobooster on heavy tanks like the AE Phase 1, and E75 TS, and wow. Fast heavy tanks are pretty great.
I put it on my IS-4. Now I easily bully the speedy 277s :)
I put it on my 260 and used a the +10% engine power consumable just for the lols. It went a solid 64kph on flat ground and 60 on slight inclines xD you can catch any medium and even some light tanks like this xD
You mean you‘ll get bullied by 277s as they still are faster and have a much better gun? Is-4 is still not good. Sadly.

Well lets be honest, getting credits with all the events around the year and boosters is pretty easy.
After re-equipping only half of my tanks, I no longer have credits for new tanks and therefore no longer need gold to retrain ascending crews. Home goal WG, home goal.
I just play my three tier 8 premium tanks (IS-6, Spaghetto M 46, Jagdtiger 88) to grind credits right now, waiting for the equipment sale.
One cool thing I noticed is that they added sounds for all equipment. I battle you can actually hear the vents hum, the turbocharger whine and reload sound change with gun rammer.
Cool, didn't even notice that
I am using a turbocharger alongside the improved rotation system and bond vents on my E 75 TS. The combo basically allows me to rush and change position like I was a medium, like a mini E 50.
Thanks for doing the homework for us!! As I am F2P, I really appreciate your advice to those with P2W and those without. Cheers!
Turbo-charged my Archer, made a HUGE difference to the playability Q.B. try it! Gun rammer and Binocs the other 2 modules. 17 pounder @ tier 5!
You should do a series on fast how to references. Like "equipment slots 1-3". 1 is for yadda stuff, 2 is for yaddadadda stuff, and 3 is for dadda stuff. You know where it doesn't explore all the options but the focus is on equipment type using the symbols.
^This. These new things arrive in the game, and we're just supposed to know what to do with them?
Put a turbo on the TOG, went 17kmh and blew my hat off from the speed. Speed Tog is incredible lol
I put the exhaust system on my ELC Even 90 and now I have over 50% camo... while moving. It's ridiculous where I can go with this tank without being spotted.
So what is your equipment now on the ELC Even 90 ? i have optics/vents/camo and a good camo crew,it's a really fun tank !!
@@DutchDude68 I'm running with vision system/exhaust/binos. My Crew is not good enough yet to drop binos for Optics and I like to passive scout in this tank.
on tanks gg, additional grousers actually reduces the ground resistence
This is So USEFUL!!!!! Thanks so much! And I'll check out the settings guide as well. It took me months to find out those quirks
Even though I don't play much at all I must say you're videos are still true to the point from 6 to 8 years ago till now keep up the great work
Interesting take, although too focussed on high-tier stuff and P2Win setups.
Seems plausible
T95 with the new repair bonus equipment, why not leave the repair kit in but make it a Heavy repair kit which you never use, but gives you even more crew bonus to repairs. Get tracks back up in even less time and not spend credits on the repair kit.
Great video at last someone who has really looked at this explains it all to me in 30 minutes. You and circon are the best CC
If you only move your turret, it still more accurate, turning your vehicle as well and of course it goes to stock dispersion (which still better because without that bonus you will become less accurate than stock)
Also you should be 15m away from bushes to maintain your camo anyway.
I have been waiting on this, thanks. Now just have to wait for sale.
What's really fun is putting improved hardening in the first slot on your TOG and get nearly 2k hp at tier 6. And then Turbocharger because SUPERTOG
Been waiting for a week specifically for this video !!! Thank you
It's really fun to set up a Lowe like the T95. you really bounce a lot of rounds in that tank set up like that, but it is super slow.
Gun laying drive its also grear for autoloaders that have to wait to fully aim and they reload faster
24:30 - I have a camo net on most of my arty's too. Must have saved me many times from keen light tanks.
Your math for view range at 3:47 is incorrect..
spotRange = effViewRange - (effViewRange - 50) * camoValue
500 - (500-50) *0.25 = 387.5 not 375.
Cheers!
QB please do a video on the ramifications of this update on FTP players like myself
Improved configuration is my favourite piece of equipment. Its a must have for all chinese and soviet tanks
In regards to the accuracy module over vents, not every tank can use vents just like the stabilizer. Alternatively, you can stack vents and the accuracy module if you really want to boost the accuracy of a tanks. Just my .02
Thank you. You have improved my game play significantly. Great vid.👍
Also improved rotation will work on TD which cannot use stabs and it counts as firepower slot and also, it increases rotation
What do you guys think about that?
from 4 to 8% depending on the vehicle type, you only get 5 percent on the Grill 15,, what is your Concealment rate ?
@@GenoGENOVA I can't check right now, but I think its around 20 with my current crew and equipment. Maybe 18. I'll update later when I know
But I'm not min maxing this tank, but I think increasing it's worst stat allow this tank to be better in it's role
Alright! I've checked.
With all crew 100% camo, the low noise exhaust and no directive I have 23.3/2.45 stationary (%)
17.6/1.85 Moving(%)
Great video thank you Quickybaby. I have a much better understanding of the new equipment now.
t110e4 with improved aiming + rammer + rotation mech = insane gun handling. the handling is similar to 277 or is 7 but u get the 155mm

Additional grousers and turbocharger are AWESOME for pz1C racing.
@QuickyBaby idea for a video to go trough some more setups of your tanks. I think you have a wider understanding about the equipments and consumables than the rest of us and prolly know better what to combine for which tanks. Would be nice to see some and get ideas for own tanks.

I use the rotation mechanist on my V4, because ... well, to help it turn faster. It is not as useless as QB says, but other than that, good video!
Spyder Murphy ty for helping to educate us, great video!
The Commander's Vision System might me useful to use on medium tanks with high view range, like a M48 Patton.
Vents, turbo and grousers combination on speedier medium tanks (eg, leopard PTA, Obj430) are a blast - give that combination a try.
the ebr was using this commander vision system and spotted everyone on Murovanka, I don't think I have ever seen close to 11k spotting on that map... spent years to get a 5 crew skill on a med tier 10... did almost 0 spotting
QuickyBaby. You might want to revise your statement about the camo net being trash. Beat the camo/spotting value of this setup in a light tank. Slot One=Camo net. Slot 2 and or 3, Vision system/Binocs. move those 3 around the slots you will see what u can do
I know this video helps so many players. GJ, again QB :)
QB failed to mention that improved rotational mechanism works on tanks that don’t usually get vstab(tier5-7) and it stacks with vstab. I have an IRM on my KV2 lol.

Sounds all great.....but if all players do the same it still does not matter.

We literally just went and tested to see if a turbo would increase turret rotation because of this video in a training room... a Turbo DID NOT increase turret rotation .. 105 octane did though (like it's description)
Dude. Great vid. You know your stuff. And I thank you for sharing it.
You need to explain the process of actually adding to a tank, what buttons to hit how to put in certain slots etc.
Use the T95 setup on a platoon of TOG's! (collaborate with Jingles maybe?)
@Quickybaby: I think the camo net is more useful in this version: i think that it negates the commander's vision system - which renders bushes obsolete.
rotation, turbo, and grousers on a ts5 is a lot of fun.
