- As promised, I have been experimenting with Vantage 2.0 and I want to share my experience. Check it out and see what you think. Is this worth the extra cost?
I still have a lot more to explore, so stay tuned for that. This time I was mostly trying to figure out scene states and how they might help in my workflow. They definitely do help, but there is a catch. Check out the video and see what you think about it. - Кино
Thanks for the info you always provide! Interested in trying this out in sketchup. Thanks.
Nice one bro 👏🏾…
Although i was expecting you to talk about the xyz anima 4d integration with the chaos vantage 2.0…
Yeah, like I said, there is a bunch more things to experiment with. This is just a video of my first experimentations, but there will be more.
Hi! Yes! I`m waiting a promised video from u about changing day light scene going to night scene with a turning on artificial lights.
so.. finally it works.. (I hope) - with today's "Vantage 2 update 1" you can create smooth animations between scene states (day/night, material variants, etc.)
By the way it's also using the new denoiser from nvidia (DLSS 3.5)
Yes! I need to test this out.
Scene states drives me nuts...hoping for chaos tut soon.
thanks for video. please make some videos about export 3dsmax animations to Chaos Vantage
Hi , is it possible to add an animated fire to a fireplace in chaos vantage ? or doesn't render that ?
lack on option in the environment using hdr.. cant add saturation contrast only to the hdr.. worst you can flip the environment hdr image - but you cant if you use backgound option.. for example i use the environment to control the light intensity of the scene and background as a general hdr... but if one is flip .. then u have to flip it in another software
We come back to the usual conclusion : each renderer has his own purpose. I see Vantage as a way to do multiple and fast static renders, with now multiple mood lighting or material board on the fly with the state scene.
However i wouldnt do animations in Vantage, i would go for Vray + After Effects
And for an interactive experience UE5.
but Vantage is on a good path for animations though.
I agree. Lots of people are being turned off now by the new pricing, though.
@@Learn-archViz I agree, i will probably swap to Vantage only myself (i dont do animations anymore those days) . But they wont increase their revenues i think, just splitting people in two softwares (doesnt make much sense to me either)
I still think the price they are asking for it now is soooo way above what it should be and rather money grabbing!
To me, I want it to be more powerful, and less of just a nice Vray add-on, if it is going to cost the same as Vray.
@@Learn-archViz yeah totally, if it was more of a standalone software I'd understand but let's me honest it's power is in being a portal between vray and client. I certainly can't afford 80 pounds a month for it!
what if there is animation in 3dmax since we export static scene in vatage .
Is there a way to animate people inside chaos vantage like D5?
i am rendering and i am having flickering in gi using 2000 samples what should i do to not having flikiring
Generally a disappointment for me, I was expecting something big but this is incremental. The monochrome UI doesn't work well, scene states appear a bit flaky and the bottom line for me is the software is confused as to what it wants to be? You still have to send the scene from Max and this is where the bottleneck is for me. They should of improved the look / feel in a user friendly way, ie HDRI cycling etc. If you are doing a large animation with tonnes of forest pack and anima then you can expect a 7 hour transfer time, hardly real time.
Animating in 3ds max and rendering in Vantage (Live Link). All the features are useless for me and the price is way overpriced (I still get it with the Vray subscription)
The traditional way is still the best, more is you have to pay for vantage
Vantage 2 looks slower render than 1.8.6...
