Hi Everyone! This week we headed out to the local old-car junkyard again, and scooped a very cool 1958 Studebaker Commander 2-door Hardtop! I've never seen one, so I had to have it, of course! I also sewed up half of the rear seat for the 1960 Plymouth Fury, and then its off to visit Agent 7678 and check out his fantastic RCMP cruiser find that had been sitting in a field for 40 years! Thanks also to everyone who subscribed to our channel here, and thanks also for all of your "likes" and comments! If you would like to help keep our channel going, you can get a sticker, hat or a coffee mug at: www.coldwarmotors.com Or, please feel free to check out our Patreon page at : www.Patreon.com/coldwarmotors where we have extra videos and pictures and a bunch of people hanging out and bs-ing about cars!
If you can find a venue where those of us in the States who have a fixed income don't have to pay as much for shipping as for the swag, I'd love to buy some of your overpriced merchandise. I'd rather pay too much to you than to shippers. I once had a friend from Canada whom I did not totally dislike, so I'd like to contribute so you can put a few shekels into the stream of trade. Double the price to cross a presumably friendly border is too much for my blood.
Hi Scott , the next time you are at that junk yard could you see if they will part with the vinyl roof chrome trim on the 80s delta 88 I have been looking for3 years for it. Would gladly send money if you can get it. And ship it. Sorry but I had to ask .. love these junkyard vids

Tom is a real life cartoon character! Cool Studebaker, I love the old forgotten cars.
Good one Scott !!!
The Boogie Van looks awesome , wicked with the sun on that paint
That Stude is a major save !
and the Buick is a treasure
I am sensing there will be a serious thrash to finish the Fury in the near future
Those RCMP Mopars are rare,
Scott , you need to invite Jay Leno for a visit just to show him how it is really done .
If Scott and Jay got together it would be a marathon car chat till 5 a.m. for sure.
@@aliceshaw8265 I wouldn't be surprised, jays a regular guy. With the blue jeans he'd fit right in with the boys.
@@aliceshaw8265 Jay needs to see that
Fury Splice and fabrication action ....
and that stainless work is top shelf
I gave him a heads up a year ago....
A Tarantino style sewing video, with Scott's guitar music as the soundtrack?
Yep, I'm in!
Very awesome that you picked up the 58 Studebaker, not the most fantastic but looks mostly complete and even restorable, and Dan finding a 74 Dodge Monaco RCMP car for his collection, so all good stuff, of rare finds, and to Ash what a beautiful job of his van a work of art
If I could visit only one car museum in Canada this would be the one. The buildup for the police car had me guessing it was a 69 polara. More Fury work 👍
It warmed my heart to see the Studebaker saved and it cleaned amazingly well! The Boogie Van was fabulous in the sun but the 74 RCMP Monaco really made my day! A small correction, they still made the base Monaco in 1976 but it had concealed headlights too. I have one, a triple green bare bones one. It was sold new in Finland with a 440 like all others but at almost half price compared to a loaded up Brougham.
I really enjoy this show. Wish it was more then once a week.
Hey that is a cool Studebaker you bought there. It has the right home now. I love Dean's enthusiasm in helping you out. He is a great friend. For someone that is not a car seat guy, those seats are really nice. The police car made me smile the second I saw it. I can't wait to see it running. Keep up the great work guys. The new camera is very clear.👍👍👍👍👍
Ausome Studebaker man in Detroit and all over the USA people would use the stainless side trim on the sides of them or black and white checkerboard on the sides of the rear quarter's , guys used to try and use all of Chryslers cool trim doge cool trim and Plymouths cool trim 😎
13:54 Now I can't get K.C. and The Sunshine Band out of my head.
"I'm Your Boogie Van, That's What I Am..."
Instant time trip to 1977. Love it!
Your is a “ no kill shelter” thanks to all from north carolina
Beautiful looking Studabaker here. It deserves to be restored. Gorgeous car.
5 minutes after posting and i'm nearly 20th to comment. something about subscribers' interest and quality of the channel, perhaps?
Another great episode, that Studebsker is a rare one. Think they only made @ 1500 or so of the coupes. The RCMP find by agent 7678 you can see the passion just oozing out of him. The Boogie Van paint job on a sunny day well it’s just stunning !! And finishing up that Fury interior is I’m sure at the top of your list Scott. 👍👍 CWM
Be proud about the upholstery! You show people with the right effort it’s possible diy it. Tangled thread could be due to loose thread on the bobbin or the timing of the machine being slightly off.
Always liked that model in particular, that and the 1959-1961 Larks. Glad this one is getting a second chance
Those of us that grew up in the body shop business will always look at the vehicle with thinking what can be done and how will it look. Those that did not grow up like us look at cars like the Studebaker how horrible it is. I see for how complete it is !!!!
Well, looking so much at those videos,my thought exactly -how complete this is!!!
My family was in the body biz for just over eighty years, when the trunk opened, I prayed that there were no "dent puller 'machine gun' mud squeeze-thru" tracks. I came from the land of "pick and file", "slap-irons", and "shrinking marks".
@@AMStationEngineer cmon we were smother than that we’d at least braze em up 😉
The big new Studebaker from 1956-58. The cyclops eye speedometer! Fiberglass fins and headlight pods. I really like the wrap around front grill.
