Hi everyone! This week I got a chance to go see my neighbour Harvey and his son Bob's collection! We saw Harvey's 1951 Frazer a couple of weeks ago, and this time we'll walk through some more of their garages and check out some amazing and rare machines... We are also making good progress on the Citroen DS restoration for my friend, and this week we'll do some polishing and painting on that project... I also got to use the forklift for real this week, and it saved the day, so I was very happy about that! . Thanks also to everyone who subscribed to our channel here, and thanks also for all of your "likes" and comments! If you would like to help keep our channel going, you can get a sticker, hat or a coffee mug at: www.coldwarmotors.com Or, please feel free to check out our Patreon page at : www.Patreon.com/coldwarmotors where we have extra videos and pictures and a bunch of people hanging out and bs-ing about cars!
Do you ever watch DD Speed Shop? Another Canadian guy. Manitoba I believe. Anyways, he's giving away a 57 Chevy. I'm not associated anymore than I am here. Just thought others and yourself might take an interest.
Scott.. it's so obvious you were brought up right.. .being so nice and very polite to old people is a lost art on the youngsters of today.. excellent job!
Goodness gracious-ol’ Harvey has quality pieces that represent automotive history, and he has a personality that outshines everything we saw! Bravo👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻!
Give Harvey and Bob a thumbs up from down in the states for letting you show us their cars. Enjoy all videos that you do but having a guy that is honest and friendly with his collection as Harvey has been by showing what he has , You have a great neighbor.
It really sucks we are losing these old guys. I can spend all day walking around & listening to all the old guys/gals! A different time & a better one as far as im concerned.
Fifties Kaiser and Frazer had the best interiors, they were the first to use molded or heat embossed vinyl. They had surprisingly fancy interiors from the first, the work of fashion experts Carleton Spenser and Marie Nichols. They did this because they only had a single, 4 door sedan body and one six cylinder engine to work with and they wanted something distinctive to sell. In the fifties they had the Dragon model," Dinosaur" imitation alligator, "Bambu" and other distinctive and expensive interior options. For 2 years they offered genuine leather interiors on the Frazers before they went to the embossed vinyl.
So, being from the UK, where you have to be grateful to own a piece of land big enough to put a postage stamp on, I'm now left with the feeling that everyone in Canada has a huge plot covered in super cool cars!
Your right there, there's just no space here I live in a small two up two down house,no garage a parking space if your lucky.Would love to have an American Classic but it's just not possible, you can spread out in America/ Canada !
Harvey and Bob have a truly amazing car collection - thanks for letting us have a look. There was a time when most of those cars were fairly commonplace - now, they're cherished. I find it difficult to believe that the ugly SUV/crossover/truck junk that parades up and down our streets today will ever receive the same accolades in future decades.
Thank You, Scott, for letting us tag along when you visited your neighbour Harvey and showed his massive collection...not your run-of-the-mill. Restoring and keeping running those obscure cars is difficult at best, but he's not in a great place to find parts, or someone to help on tasks he can't handle. Thanks again...Mark.
Thank you ! your show always makes my day . You really are lucky to have neighbour,s like that . and also for all the effort you put in to making these videos ! thanks again!!!!!
Thanks Harvey! Loved that '73 Imperial. I had the same model in 1982, 440 ran great. Longest regular production car ever made as I recall. Your vids bring back so many memories.
Yes. Definitely extend our thanks to Harvey and Bob for showing you their collection. All of the cars (and the tractors) are beautiful. I was especially impressed by the three "T" 's. Three hundred and ten years worth of cars there. Mr. Ford would be impressed.
I like it too that you are respectful to folks, always a good thing! Always on Saturday morning I'm excited about a new CWM video, makes my weekend. Best to you Scott, Frankers and crazy agents!!
Soak up every bit knowledge this guy has. What a cool guy. He reminds me of my grandfather. I always spent as much time as I could in his shop growing up.
Im 60 yrs old. When I was in early grade school there was a new kid at our Catholic school that came over from France. Of course we didnt like the kid.lol! But his dad brought one of these cars with them. Strangest car I ever saw!
Easy over One Million US Dollars vehicle collection, 58 Oldsmobile 98 never have seen one, all saved so next generation can see the long progression of automotive history we all thank him!
My grandfather had a 58 98 olds, sort of metallic blue, quite a barge. Like some GM models of the time it too had a "Wonder bar" radio that could tune to the next station or find a station based on the local distance switch. Additionally there was a second dimmer switch on the floor, that would, when pressed advance the radio to the next station. His Olds also had the automatic headlight dimmer gizmo pointing ahead on the left side of the dash looking out the windscreen.
@@craignehring One of my uncles had a Olds station wagon with the J-2 setup on it. I never rode in that car so I don't know how it ran ??? I think some Cadillac's offered that option too.
Wonderful episode! Please thank Harvey and Bob for sharing their stunning collection. It was an absolute treat to watch you in action, accessing your encyclopedic mental database and effortlessly spouting arcane automotive factoids from every era. Spotting a rusty cowl and identifying it as a 27 Buick was truly impressive. Every second of this video was packed with content, and I can only imagine how much footage you went through to achieve the final edit. Brilliant. Thank you!
Thank You for your Friend Bob for showing his super collection. And coldwarmotors taking the time to film. Thanks Scott and don't forget Franker's. CHEERS
You should be in that '27 Chrysler and it will haunt you in your sleep until you have it. No, seriously, that car screams Scott and Frankers. What a great tour of classic machinery.
hey Scott, thanks to you and especially Harvey for the walk around of his amazing collection ! You know someone has a big collection when your battery can't last long enough to film all the cars !! :)
WOW!! Harvey has a wonderful collection!! I really loved the 27 Chrysler and the Imperial LeBaron!! Big thank you Scott and to Harvey for showing us all of the fantastic cars!!!
Hi everyone. Gotta love Harvey's collection. And his parts cars too. What a wonderful collection. The Case tractors too. My dad owned a Case VA 1944 complete running unrestored. We sold it five years ago. Thanks for the tour. I couldn't have asked for a better 62nd birthday present.
WOW, WOW, OMG, Is what kept coming out of my mouth. Harvey's collection is mind blowing. And worth a fortune. Hoping you are able to film more. Harvey is a gem. And Scott, I have to say, as always your knowledge and abilities are just incredible. Your respect and passion for vehicles is stellar. You have no idea how much I appreciate your work every week. Thank you thank you thank you.
Harvey's got 2 of my favorites parked right next to each other: a Twin H Hudson Hornet & a Chrysler Imperial LeBaron. And a Rocket powered Olds 98 is no slouch either.
Thank you,Scott, and especially your Neighbor and Friend, for sharing such an amazing collection of super classics and the parts-mobiles.Wow! Come on Lottery.I'd love to be the steward of a few of those.
Gotta love those Continentals, at least the Mark II and the 1961- 1963 models. You're dredging up my long-forgotten memories of cruising down fresh interstate concrete in my mom's '61 sedan, clean brocade interior and all. There was nothing like it. At the time, I did not appreciate it; like a fool, I bought a Jag 3.8 S Sedan. What an idiot! Thanks.
Seeing those power vents on that Mark V reminded me of my one and only ride in a Lincoln TownCar. A good friend’s step dad would only buy late 70’s/early 80’s Lincolns ( Town cars or continentals . Hey, everybody’s got their hang ups! ) . So I’m riding in the front passenger seat and wanted a little air, so I grabbed the first switch on the panel and LO and BEHOLD! The damn vent window opened! I was stunned at the abject luxury of automated vent windows! “ I am such a peasant! “ summed up my feelings at that moment PERFECTLY! Well spoke!
Mahalos for showing us Harvey's collection, a real treat indeed! That 1958 Oldsmobile with J-2 is begging to have the carbon blown out of it, and the hubcaps won't fall off. I wish my Dad was still around to tell me more about those. He built a T-Bucket Roadster with a buddy, and it had a J-2 setup in it, and that was a very sought after engine in the late 1960's. That Citroen has the most beautiful shade of blue I have ever seen.
Great car collection. That Olds with three twos was a stunner. (More trim than your Plymouth.) The Imperial was a real limo, a true luxury car ! Museum quality cars throughout. 😎👍
I distinctly remember those hinged hub caps but for the life of me can’t recall the make and model. The advantage was it kept the hubs centered and eliminated the possibility of losing them. What a beautiful car collection. Definitely a labor of love. Thank you so much for the tour. Bummer about the battery..
Man, your neighbor's collection is truly "Museum quality" !!! All gorgeous cars !!! LOVE those big old sedans !!! The Hudson's and Frazer's were way ahead of their time and "too good" compared with all the others. Sure glad people like your neighbor preserve some nice examples !!! 👍👍👍👍👍
What a collection! I'm an Oldsmobile fan from way back, my first two cars were a '68 Cutlass and a '72 Delta 88 Royale. That 98 is a sight to see. Thank you for sharing the tour with us, please pass along my thanks to them too. I hope you can get over there again soon. All the best to you, Frankers, and the agents.
Oh wow! What fantastic machines your friends have. Thanks so much for taking the time to show us. And please thank them for us. The DS is looking so nice! Great job and it shows. Thanks for the great video Scott, Frankers and Agents. That 58 Olds is on my bucket list!
Harvey’s collection is stunning, what a eclectic set of cars from many eras. Makes you wonder what more he has to show in a another (hopefully) episode ! Watching the forklift in action is great , who would think lifting a car from point A to B would be so watchable?! 😎
Harvey’s collection and body of auto repair/work, is amazing. Thank you, Scott, Harvey and his son for the tour. Nice time with you guys looking, awwing and oooing. Coming along with the parts painting. That “new” DS is lovable. Nice multi color pallet especially the dulled plum. Oh yeah, the polishing of plastic and metal. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Does Harvey need another son, you know, to help take care of the collection? What a wonderful person, hopefully he'll let us(that is you) visit again. And no episode is complete without some body and paint finishing on the DS. That's a beautiful car - can't wait for the reveal.
Great show as always...Thank you for your and your son's hard work. Your neighbor's car collection is amazing. I saw you being interviewed/RUclips video...It was a mid-week treat to watch!
Scott, Thanks for sharing Harvey's collection. Love the Twin H Hornet. The next time you go over there, he will have to show you the special radio antenna rotating tuner.
Scott: if your camera battery hadn't died, you'd still be there. What a collection !! 👌👍 All *beautiful* cars but some of the "newer" ones are just stunning.
What a great tour of your friend and neighbor’s FABULOUS collection! THANKS for taking us along!!! I like the way the junkyard/parts car section was in the middle of the tour, not at the end. A CWM surprise!
Harvey and his son are very proud of their collection! They certainly have some unique beauties! Thank you for taking us on this field trip!😄 Car parts in the dishwasher.......that's different.....🤔 DS is looking amazing! "Drink Goat Milk"...that was funny!😄
Your friend has got two sweet Dyna Z's, they have the same engine or a different variant (same design from 1945 to 1967). I drive a Dyna X here in France. Trust me Scott, you need your own Panhard. Just beware, once you find one they come shelter in your yard by the hundreds!
They look like pretty complete cars! Usually they are just gone with rust. Engine have no tolerance whatsoever, thought they are cheap to rebuild due to the limited amount of parts. No head gaskets, valve springs, oil or water cooler, high pressure oil pump etc.. just watch out for this damn roller bearing camshaft, if it has too much play, the budget it might degrade the legacy of the channel If you need any parts new or used I could get you in touch with clubs and parts seller here. Cheers!
@@Baldufle Do you agree that the copper coloured car is a Grand Standing model? i'm a couple of years older than Scott and live near Dover in the UK. As soon as I was 17 and old enough to drive, I was over in northern France buying Panhards, Simca Arondes, Dauphines,, until I found a 1961 Id19 which I kept for over 20 years. I had a lot of fun with it being an LHS fluide rouge car and due to suffering an accident and becoming disabled I had to sell to a specialist in London.. I've just bought and sold a 1967 Renault 16 GL and am currently in negotiation to purchase an early Citroen GS C Matic as easier to drive for me. Scott, how about we find you a Panhard 24 BT/CT and send it over? Better than a Dyna/PL17.!! He He.. Mind you, I lived in Minnesota for 18 months and bought and dailied an Olds Delta 88 1973. That was some 30 years ago now. Do you see 1973 Deltas in 88 or 98 4 doors still around in Alberta or BC? All the best. Phil.
Great to see some Panhards. @@coldwarmotors The early Dyna Z's have an aluminum body, the later models are made of steel. And there are intermediate models with a steel chassis but aluminum doors. Go for it!
Lovely gentleman sharing his car collection, his passion and knowledge with you for us all to enjoy. My Dad used to tell us of when as a young lad he helped out on the neighbours farm, in the late 30s and during the 2nd World War they used Hudson's including Terraplanes stripped down as farm trucks to move the harvest. Such big cars were often cheap and unloved at that time. Lovely to see them wish I could have shown Dad. Cheers
This is so much better than a car show where all the work is already done. If a person wanted to restore a Panhard here is the opportunity to acquire 2 examples giving them plenty of parts that are original.
That old continental your neighbor has is definitely a Dean car only nicer! lmao. Great time looking at the neighbor's cars. "Power vent windows, of course, I'm a peasant" lmao.
What a beautiful car collection! Especially liked the oil can in the engine bay of the HUDSON 8. Nice of that Gentleman to share with us. Thanks Scott, love your work! Rich
I became so intrigued by those two Panhards, that I violated my 'code of personal ethics', "thou shall not view Jay Leno car videos", to learn about them. The Panhard Deutsch-Bonnet, a fiberglass 'freakster', is so cool, that James Bond would even consider driving one in the Alps. Many thanks Harvey, and Bob, for allowing Scott and company - to both video and share their tour of your fine collection.
An older gentleman not far from me had a frame-off restored 1951 Manhattan in a real pretty green color, man that car was beautiful! As for the Case V series, the VA was the wide front, the VAC was the tricycle front, the VAI was the industrial and the VAO was the orchard model.
Damn, Why did I get hooked on this channel? A buddy of mine down here in Florida turned me on to CWM and now all the rest of the Will it Start? shows pale. Years ago I built my first little cabin in Maine in the middle of 30 acre woods where a junkyard was, I wish I knew now the value of some 30 cars I had hauled off to the crusher. Days must be longer in Canada to get so much accomplished, and where are the wives. Are there any women left who would let a guy throw parts in the dishwasher? Or work into the wee hours of night with a couple of PRO lighting guys. 😁 Loved the pristine collection that Harvey has. Amazing restorations, but really, in my heart it's the junkyard cars showing all of their cut's rust and scars that are the heroes.. GREATJOB to all , to all of the agents, the information, editing, this is my go to channel. 👍🙂
Darn Mr. Harvey has a grand collection of vehicles. Tell him is was a pleasure to see his montage of classic autos interspursed with antique farm tractors. Heck even parts car collection is astounding. The old/new Citroen is making great headway....thanks from hot east Texas.

Got in early!

Scott.. it's so obvious you were brought up right.. .being so nice and very polite to old people is a lost art on the youngsters of today.. excellent job!
I sure agree!
I'm 60, and raised by my Grandparents in Alabama. It's nice to see good manners.
I agree also nice to see.

Yes that's true. Ironically, youngsters of today will be the oldies of tmrw. But!! it'll never happen to them. Right?
"I am such a peasant" had me laughing out loud.. Love that 98!! Also a great job of editing on his carb float story, overlying the audio like that.
Hey, thanks for the kind words; glad you enjoyed it like I did making it! Cheers...

I like the way the junkyard/parts car section was in the middle of the tour, not at the end.
A CWM surprise!
Harvey and his son are very proud of their collection! They certainly have some unique beauties! Thank you for taking us on this field trip!😄
Car parts in the dishwasher.......that's different.....🤔
DS is looking amazing!
Thanks for the note! I may see if there is enough to put one together? Cheers!
They look like pretty complete cars! Usually they are just gone with rust. Engine have no tolerance whatsoever, thought they are cheap to rebuild due to the limited amount of parts. No head gaskets, valve springs, oil or water cooler, high pressure oil pump etc.. just watch out for this damn roller bearing camshaft, if it has too much play, the budget it might degrade the legacy of the channel
If you need any parts new or used I could get you in touch with clubs and parts seller here.
Go for it!
One more reply urging to get those Panhards! Such cool little cars. No one does weird better than the French, which you certainly know by now!
Cheers
I enjoyed this tremendous collection so much. I would have nearly lost my mind if I was there personally!
This is so much better than a car show where all the work is already done. If a person wanted to restore a Panhard here is the opportunity to acquire 2 examples giving them plenty of parts that are original.
OMG.. that LeBaron is the BEST!!
That old continental your neighbor has is definitely a Dean car only nicer! lmao. Great time looking at the neighbor's cars. "Power vent windows, of course, I'm a peasant" lmao.
Harvey has an amazing collection of cars!
What a beautiful car collection! Especially liked the oil can in the engine bay of the HUDSON 8.
Nice of that Gentleman to share with us.
Thanks Scott, love your work!
Rich
Come on guys subscribe! This is the most down to earth no bullshit channel on utube. Love all the talent and characters in this show to bits.
Thanks for saying so John! I'd like to get some subscribers, but I'm not changing the show, so I guess we'll carry on, haha! Cheers!
Wow, the knowledge between the two of you, simply amazing!
That car collection is just mind-blowing!
Damn, I'm just heading out the door so will have to watch this later. Already hit the like button of course!...
Thanks to you and thanks to Harvey. Beautiful collection!
I love that 1927 Chrysler Sedan
I wish I had a neighbor like Harvey, or you for that matter. I'm surrounded by suburban mediocrity. Fantastic video. More please.
An older gentleman not far from me had a frame-off restored 1951 Manhattan in a real pretty green color, man that car was beautiful!
As for the Case V series, the VA was the wide front, the VAC was the tricycle front, the VAI was the industrial and the VAO was the orchard model.
Wow what a collection
73 Imperial, that’s a great car.
👍👍 Amazing cars in Harvey and son collection. Thanks for sharing.😊
LOVE MY SATURDAY NIGHTS!!! All because of Coldwarmotors!
Great show Dean. So many beautiful cars. I love that '58 Olds 98. Just so beautifully excessive! The color is very nice too.
Wow, harvey and bobs collection is just stunning. I think i might move to Canada.....
Yay!! But things need to be completed! At least I have this wonderful hour to look forward to. Thanks Scott! See you later!
Rich
Awesome ensemble of vehicles and tractors....... obviously a ton of TLC dished out over the years.
I'm drooling...Harvey's collection is AWESOME. Thanks for the sneak peak Scott. PS- I like your "parts washer" HAHAHA
Loved the pristine collection that Harvey has. Amazing restorations, but really, in my heart it's the junkyard cars showing all of their cut's rust and scars that are the heroes.. GREATJOB to all , to all of the agents, the information, editing, this is my go to channel. 👍🙂
When I was in college In 1968 I owned that exact same Olds even too the color. only mine was a $75 beater. But everything worked. It was a great car.
What a collection!!!!
Darn Mr. Harvey has a grand collection of vehicles. Tell him is was a pleasure to see his montage of classic autos interspursed with antique farm tractors. Heck even parts car collection is astounding. The old/new Citroen is making great headway....thanks from hot east Texas.
Oh boy, it’s Saturday!
