I am wondering what about pen jitter in 3rd party apps like Adobe Photoshop? Is it gone? With the palm resting on the device and being on charger will it still jitter as previous generations does?
hey man, thank you for this review! I'm glad I waited for the 8 instead of buying the 7 but I was wondering if you could help me out with something? Which colour type cover is that if you don't mind me asking? I'm stuck between Ice Blue and Platinum but I really like the look of your one.
Do the thunderbolt ports do power delivery? It doesn't mention on the tech spec section of the website so I'm guessing they don't and I'm a little sad to see they're sticking with the "surface connect port" for power (and that additional usbA) rather than allowing users the convenience of using those two usbC ports (hell, the could've dropped the now defunct surface connect port, used the usbC thunderbolt 4 with PD and then put a usbA port where the surface connect port is, giving users the best of both). Being able to use a PD cable power battery is very handy when you're on the road and need to top up the device when you're not near an AC outlet and this is constrained for no real reason (other than to limit you to over priced MS products like the Surface Dock 2 rather than freeing you to use any Thunderbolt 3/4 dock with PD that can be half the price - and have display port/hdmi ports rather than having to then also get usbC to dp/hdmi adaptors). I'd been putting off getting the 7 as it'd been out a while already so knew the 8 must be due, it's taken a fair bit longer than I thought to come around and that's really taken the shine off of what would otherwise be worth the wait (Xe graphics instead of Iris, 120hz, larger screen, smaller bezzels, the "7b"s SSD hatch (though I'm guessing it's not just a regular NVME under that hatch but again the MS caddy clad SSD to further limit customer choice)).
aI owned the SP4, 5 & 6, greed on the real batt life for SP about 7hr. I m ok with that but the batt life suffer badly after just 4-5 months of usage. It will not last more than 5hr after that. Replacing the batt is also expensive even by 3rd party shops.
I'm very concerned about the fan noise, any further comments on that? I'm still rocking SP5 and was disappointed that the SP8 doesn't come passively cooled anymore and I consider it an absolute dealbreaker for me. I'm using my SP a lot in bed and in bags and I just don't ever want to hear the fans or even use a super portable product that is relying on airflow.
please i hope youre going to make a full review with battery life tests etc! Thanks for the vidro

Nice vid Lance and what a great device. New sub.
Sad that they dropped the uSD card slot. I use a 1TB card inside my Pro 7 with my music, podcast and comic book collection on it.
I see that as one of the biggest downsides, the price is pretty hefty too.
Thanks a lot man. I'm desperately waiting for the hand on review in RUclips since last week.

That looks like the Platinum color.

Really good latop
Very informative video. Thank you.
Is this one x32 or x64?
As a Surface pro, it has to be 64 by default (excluding the Surface pro x) since its running Intel chips
@@GothremenBhason Thank you for the information.
@@udeshwijepala6915 you are welcome
Very great review but I have a question is there anyway to use that keyboard with slim pen 2 on my pro 7+ or the connect port is different??
Great video .
Great review 👏 👌
nice video. does the pen still attach magnetically to a side?
Nope.
Yes it does.
These other 2 don't know..
@@Sean.Q Thank you. Maybe the old pens do, and the new slim pen does not?
Great review. Thnks!
Your pro 8 had 16mb of RAM?? Typo my friend- 16GB*

Hay the pen comes with the keyboard ?
From what I can tell the slim pen is a separate purchase, not included with the keyboard. The costs really add up.

Thanks Companies know how to make huge profit like that 😅
You can buy the pen separate from the keyboard or you can buy them together as a bundle and save a few dollars.
9:53 GB not MB, must be typo there
Very great device anyway
Such a remarkable device, sadly out of my budget
does the keyboard has backlight?
Yes
como tienes la cuenta verificada ?
Can it be charged via Type-c with power dilvery adapters?
Yes
