As a kid in the 1970s, I climbed just about every flatiron except Seal Rock. I always regretted that I never climbed it and I don't know why I never did. Thanks for this vid....I get to vicariously climb it. It has Matron vibes.
Amazing Karl as always. You keep posting better and better videos week after week. Honestly I don't know how you do what you do. That aside, beautifully shot footage, brilliantly edited and we get a rattle snake thrown in for good measure. Loved it from start to finish. Thanks for sharing.
I'm still learning and growing with this and wow, so is the tech, editing as well. . . Please don't share this, nobody will ever see it here but, I have a new idea that came to me when playing with my NEW Mini 2! It is tough to get those 3rd person shots in hazardous places, lots of work too, here's my plan. I am simply going to turn on my mini 2, level it on a rock while framing up a cool shot and then cruise up some huge mountain or rock or whatever and only hit the record button when I'm way out there or up there or both. . . I can add additional framing using the gimbal tilt wheel too and all the while using very little battery! Then, when I'm way out there and done shooting my "tripod shot". . . I can reset the home point to the controller, take the drone off and keep filming while I'm still moving and the drone is on auto return to home flying right to me. . . I will have to have the controller "handy" at that point since the drone is flying and en route but still, no going back for the camera AND maybe another cool moving shot. . . pretty sweet AY! I have only shared this with you, please keep it on the Down low. . . I consider you a good friend now, you have really helped me with your encouragement, thank you! My name is Karl and I'd be glad to hear from you if you ever email, I am a construction professional, married, daughter in college. . . old extreme athlete. . . 50 years old, Cheers brother!
@@KarlDeckerPresents Genius! The Mini 2 is an awesome idea. I look forward to seeing how it works out! I took my MA2 out this morning for a sunrise flight at a beach on the Australian (NSW) mid north coast. Will post it up soon once I can edit it down to circa 3 mins. BTW geez didn’t that rope come down fast after being stuck lol. What does your Mrs think about the risks you take. She must be used to it I guess. Cheers mate. 🥂🇦🇺🇺🇸
@@KarlDeckerPresents Bro! I'm just Astounded at your camera skills, editing/videography... I wish you would have said you STILL live in Boulder... You are already living the life I am building... Please Keep Up the AWESOME work!!! Capitol Peak video I thought was Amazing too, but this one hits my stomping grounds. How many Flatirons have you completed? I think there's like 111 or so (not the regular 5)... Beta Beta Beta = Amazingly Safe Adventures... Again, Wow!!! (I really though that 360 fusion was a piece of crap til you showed how to edit with it). Thank-You!
And MAJOR it is!!!! Biggest one out there I know of. Sitting back into the harness on that one, even for a hardened climber was. . . breathtaking! I am so glad to do it. . . I feel the same way. . . my main reason for making these videos is to always be able to re-experience these special moments!
Thank you! Please come see some of the new stuff! The Ruby Mnt. to Grays was truly unbelievable hiking above the clouds, as was Quandary West ridge climbing behind mountain goats. I hope you enjoy! Cheers
I saw your Grizzly Peak vid and wandered over here from there. Great videos, great skill. I could never attempt what you do though I have climbed (non-technical) some awesome mountains in MT and AK and some "easy" hikes in RMNP. I appreciate the time and effort you take to film and edit your adventures. The videography is breathtaking. Just remember what Chuck Yeager said: "The are bold pilots and there are old pilots." Be careful up there man!
Thanks for the kind words Sir! Especially the editing comment, it is my labour of love and I always put the time and effort into making these present as well as possible. Keep watching and share your favorites with those who might also appreciate what we are doing!! Take care, Karl.

Yessir, I know I did the same thing growing up. It was a TON less crowded LoL! Glad it triggered memories for you... Karl 👍

Not to be a grammar nazi, but it's spelled 'rappel.' Thought you'd like to know.
Amazing video skills.
