Moment hope you'll reply... I'm a 11grade student and have also started vloging ruclips.net/video/Zw8BC_aLziE/видео.html (my first vlog) but don't have a gear to use it with my iPhone 7 plus...hope you could sponser me... it'll be very nice of you all
Gentlemen, I have been researching gear and cameras for making videos for a business i have making custom t-shirts and other products. You guys have made it so simple with this video, answered many questions and recommended the right gear
I am a newbie to the photography and film making scene and I’m soooo excited! I never knew mobile photography or cinematography was a thing until moment. This is a game changer to the industry...so excited!
I am so stoked to get started with Moment lenses. I'm coming from DSLR photography and getting started with vlogging and I never would have guessed I could use my phone for it. You guys are absolutely incredible and I wish you continued success!
I love your videos. I don't comment in most cases, but I just have to share my appreciation. I own all your lenses and use your vlogs to learn more about vlogging and such. Keep it up!
I’m so happy I found this video! I’ve been vloggging from my phone for almost 4 years now & ive gotta be honest I can’t afford to spend big $$$ on a camera & I just find it more convenient to vlog from my phone. I feel like not many people talk about gear for your phones👌🏾 I’ll definitely be investing in a few of these products soon!
I thought it was rad that you left the the time lapse footage in and admitted you made a mistake. I've been vlogging for a year and always dismiss stuff like that for my own content, but it really added to the vlog! Great work guys.
I think it would be cool to do a series of vlogs inspired by some of the popular RUclipsrs styles. Whether it's Casey, or some of the food guys like Mark Wiens/Mike Chen, or even Tech guys, just to show the versatility of the lenses.
Thanks or a good and helpful video. Mistakes happen. If you were afraid of making mistakes you would not have been able to learn to skateboard or even start vlogging. Don't beat yourself up too much... it's hard to see what mode you're in when you're filming on a phone and sooo easy to accidentally slide to some other mode when you didn't even know you'd touched the screen. You still managed to get the important / helpful stuff in. I'm struggling with keeping my footage in focus and "seeing" myself while filming myself. It's hard for me to tell if the shot is in focus just by looking at a little phone screen. Anyway that's why I'm checking out videos like yours.
@Andrew Baxter Me too! Did you know that you hear yourself deeper than you really are? It’s because your ears are so close to your vocal cords that they hear the vibrations. That’s also why when you eat you hear crunching louder than everyone else hears you crunching.
Same here man my voice is so thick I sound like I am talking under water when I hear myself. I feel I should talk and lets see how audience react after that
bhordupur Friend, don’t worry about the accent. Wanna see “thick accents” on here? Check out Dusty Smith (250k subs) or Ragical The Unhallowed Knight 15k subs) and you can barely understand Ragical. Everyone has a different voice and as long as you annunciate your words and have a good contact people don’t give a crap about it. Just look how thick of an accent Bill Clinton have and he became president. Lol
So, the real question is when using my Wide-angle MOMENT lense, I obviously cannot use my rear-facing camera to be able to "frame" myself so: HOW do you nail the framing of yourself in the shot without that visual monitor to help you? Would LOVE an answer to that!
Hi there, thanks for the great video, I've recently started doing youtube videos and was looking for some equipment to improve the quality. After watching dozens of reviews online, I can across your channel. I really liked your manner and down-to-earth approach! I've ordered a few items that you guys recommended so looking forward to trying them out. Thanks again and keep up with good content!
Do you guys recommend recording vlog style with stabilization on or off when doing vlogs? Love how the moment app gives the option to choose to do so, although having OIS on creates the jello effect sometimes when using the lens.
I have a huge dilema here now!!! Anamorphic or wide lens? Please, can you please do a review on both or tell us which one is better or recommend? Thanks a lot for your help and keep doing this awesome things.
I watch almost all of your vids but somehow missed this bad boy. I really think this sums it right up for shooting on your phone perfectly, sound so important and your lenses are just dope. Seriously investing in your lenses, wish me luck i will test them hard. I keep entering your film fests, no traction yet but maybe with my new moment add ons may change the game. 👊💥🍁
Very interesting to watch! I observed that you were enjoying what you're doing. That's what I called "passion". Thanks for the clear cut information. God bless.
We just started a family travel vlog about our life here in Mex. I do everything on my phone and have been looking at your wide angle lens. I do have the rode mic which I love but I really want that wider view. I was thinking of pairing it with the extended battery case for my iPhone 7 for extended recording time. This video was great. I was really curious to see these two lenses side by side. Thank you.
I use these lenses when traveling, pack traveling and hiking. I can get a great shot with great sound and fits it all into my pocket. Yes, I like my big cameras with big sensors, but they weigh and create bulk. Go Pro cameras are nice but I love these lenses and shooting on my phone which I can upload to the net after simple editing, again on my phone. Photography is a hobby so dropping some money for more toys is great (I have tons since my first Nikon N2000), however, if your looking to save money with one set up, since everyone has a camera phone so a 100$ lens with 30$ case (which you need anyways), is the cheapest way to go!!!
Regardless of the camera, be it a dslr or a phone, you still have to have the right lens, a tripod of sorts, and a microphone. So, yes you can buy a cheap camera, but you're also going to have to purchase all the other stuff to vlog. Some people don't want to purchase a camera when they can use their phone.
Different Media. I agree with you. I’m wanting to start a channel the cheapest way possible and my friend keeps telling me just start with your phone and at first I was in denial. But eventually I thought eh, it would be cheaper to start on my phone. So I came across this video and all of the equipment in this particular video totals over $400 when you could just purchase a camera and tripod for that same amount. Plus thats not even including shipping and handling for these things smh.
Clearly you love Casey Niestadt as much as I do. Super cool you included the way that shoot actually went. I'm a nube operator, if an aficionado... watcher? Sounded creepy. ANYway. Got my sub. Thanks for content.
Love you guys. Funny... The issue you had with being in the wrong mode while shooting illustrates my primary concern about this kind of set up. Not having a screen to check your framing and focus not to mention making sure it's running or on the right mode kinda sucks. Im tempted to set up a mirror or something so I can see the screen and still use your sick lenses. Any chance you are planning to make lenses for the selfie cam?
I have several doubts, I hope you can answer them: 1.- Are your videos recorded with the phone completely? 2.- Front or rear camera? 3.- What program do they use to edit their videos and what filter? 4.- What is the lens that I recommend buying more use? Thank you.
So what do you do with your set up when you co into a place to eat? Let is remained set up or place it into a small bag. I think a storage solution word be needed instead of carrying extra Moment lenses, SD cards, extra battery charger and batteries in your pocket.
OMG I got my package which is 3 lenses, galaxy case and leather bag to keep all my bits. The lenses are brilliant. They a heavier than I anticipated but they are a indeed a nice piece of glass! I have just ordered all the bits you talked about regarding the vlogging as this is an area I would like to expand my brand into. Cheers team! #momentfan
Hi. Great video. I want to follow your advice, but I'm a little worried that I'll buy equipment and it won't plug into next generation iPhones. I want to do videos right now, but if I get a new phone that doesn't have the right sockets, etc, what then? Any idea?
Great video... ... but I have a question... Why are you not LOOKING into the lens of the camera at your viewer? You look like you're looking off to your right... What are you looking at? Look at me... (Smile) I love this video...
Any tips for keeping you in the frame and clicking the screen to focus on subjects etc. without being able to see the screen? I wish there was a way to attach a small screen to the back of your phone and mirror it... Two sided phones one day maybe?? 🙃
Just got here and saw only two videos and you already got a new follower fellas. Keep it up with the great job. By the way the info about the VLOGING with the phones is fantastic I will use it for my channel also. Could you please put the link of little microphone (not the rode)that attaches directly to lighting connector of the iPhone. thank you , KP
It was a little confusing because I’m not familiar with the mics and connection issues. But I liked the quality and results. Now on to the editing, titles, and background sound mixing.

The one thing I'm missing is courage haha I'm so self conscious of my voice I know it's dumb but I am
@Andrew Baxter Me too! Did you know that you hear yourself deeper than you really are? It’s because your ears are so close to your vocal cords that they hear the vibrations. That’s also why when you eat you hear crunching louder than everyone else hears you crunching.
Andrew Baxter u can do it Andrew.
Same here man my voice is so thick I sound like I am talking under water when I hear myself. I feel I should talk and lets see how audience react after that

I really appreciate the detailed itemization of the gear and music. ✊🏾

No need to frame. You'll always be in the shot with the wide lens
Thats my thinking too, sure you'll probably be in frame, but that doesn't mean that it looks good
Hi there, thanks for the great video, I've recently started doing youtube videos and was looking for some equipment to improve the quality. Best vid ever
wow you saved the viewers money the best vlogging suggestor keep IT UP
I use that Manfrotto tripod much more than I thought I would. iPhone, GoPro, my DSLR. It’s so handy to use.
Definitely a big difference wit the Rode mic. Definitely hear some low end. Definitely a quality mic. Can’t wait till i start my RUclips channel !
Do you guys recommend recording vlog style with stabilization on or off when doing vlogs?

This is the video that convinced me to get a moment case with a wide angle lens.
Thank you for your video its help me a lot. Newbie here
This is exactly what I was looking for. I am starting to vlog for my real estate business and I want to make the most out of my iphone. Great content!
This video was exactly what I was looking for, thank you so much!!
Thanks for the video setup. Great ideas to be had. Excellent!
love it .. especially when you skate
I’m using the same gears!!!
Hope you will have some light settling video in the future 🤘🏻
What's funny is, I wanted to learn how to do this so that I can make a skateboard vlog, and here you are, skating.
I watch almost all of your vids but somehow missed this bad boy. I really think this sums it right up for shooting on your phone perfectly, sound so important and your lenses are just dope. It's crazy because this is my plan! 😊
Very interesting to watch! I observed that you were enjoying what you're doing. That's what I called "passion". Thanks for the clear cut information. God bless.
This is everything! Straight to the point thank you!!
I live in Australia in Brisbane, Queensland 😊
Reece Baker bro u r so lucky
Hello from New Mexico, USA
Dude I live there too!! Right in the CBD. Let's go shoot!
Just made a vlog on my phone too. It's a lot easier to edit on iMovie. But I still like the versatility of premiere Pro

that manfroto bracket looks pretty cool
This is very very benefit
For vloggers
just a reminder, the Rode mic cable is an SC7 patch cable, which is bought separately. it doesn't comes with the mic.
I wanna start vlogging and film making by phone. You guys are my inspiration! 💯
Here is a good lavalier microphone for beginners. 2 mics just for 25 bucks USA only www.amz.one/p/lavaliermicrophone
Could you do all the edit on you phone or iPad and upload without a computer.
Gjermund Dammen yes I make reaction videos and everything from my iPhone 6 not 6s not 7 8 or x a 6
Gjermund Dammen duh
PurpGelato Tv you can
Thanks for sharing this video. Especially for a YT newbie here that no high tech camera yet but only smartphones 😊👍🏻
okay... This is insane. Why not just buy a Sony A5000 its like 300$ and is fire compared to this and you wont need all this other shit.
Pokes king - but do they have the expensive ass lens, phone bracket, mic and tripod??
I use these lenses when traveling, pack traveling and hiking. I can get a great shot with great sound and fits it all into my pocket. Great information, thanks! I think I’ll be picking up some of this gear soon!
😂😂 accidentally put everything in the time lapse mode
Would love to hear the comparison between both external mics! The Rode sounded good but have no idea about the other one showed.
This is like the most helpful video ever!
the setup is so cool, can I use that on biking though?
Great video and amazing techniques. Thank you. I will surely try this in my vlog
let's subscribe together
Great video, had no idea you could get those cool little wide lens for your phone. Will take a look into it!
no video is a Moment Video without your skateboarding super cool!

Super clean. I was using my
GoPro but I wanna start keeping it on my phone since the audio and noise on the new gopros are trash
I have several doubts, I hope you can answer them:

Thank you . I enjoyed the tips
Hey. The timelapse is cool! I've never used it believe it or not.
This use to be $500 a year ago. You can get everything on this list for around 350ish now. I’m glad I waited.
Loving the idea ❤️

Hi. Great video. I want to follow your advice, but I'm a little worried that I'll buy equipment and it won't plug into next generation iPhones. I want to do videos right now, but if I get a new phone that doesn't have the right sockets, etc, what then? Any idea?
Great setup! May i know what video editing apps/software did u use for this one?
Great video...
... but I have a question...
Why are you not LOOKING into the lens of the camera
at your viewer? You look like you're looking off to your right...
What are you looking at? Look at me... (Smile)
I love this video...
Because the news team is there
Great video! 🙌🏾
your videos are just perfect!!
what is the name of the music at 6:06
Very practical and compact as I like😜✌🏼
Any tips for keeping you in the frame and clicking the screen to focus on subjects etc. without being able to see the screen? I wish there was a way to attach a small screen to the back of your phone and mirror it... Two sided phones one day maybe?? 🙃
Front or rear camera ?? And me eyes look weird when i film through front camera. Please guide !!
Just got here and saw only two videos and you already got a new follower fellas.
Keep it up with the great job. By the way the info about the VLOGING with the phones is fantastic I will use it for my channel also.

Nice! You guys inspired me to go around shot video w my phone. Thanks ✌️
Nothing wrong with using a phone! The best camera is the one you have.
Loved it.
Just curious why you're not using the front cam. How do you frame the shot?
I like the lenses but the wide angle is a little soft around the edges The superfish lens looks crisp
Thanks You for this ill try to get all this stuff. ❤
Nice, video is so knowledgeable.
Pretty good thanks for this channel
Hello brother, but all part that you show, I'm very difficult to buy in Cambodia. Could I use all of these part with Samsung?
When are you guys going to do a video with the note 8 case and lenses?
Ok, the last song you used I used for my half-way song. Actually, I used 3 songs on my latest Vlog from your playlist on MusicBed! lol
I love it !
Hi guys - great tips will the Rode mic work with the Movi balance wise?
this looks cool. thanks
