At 15:15 - We don't need any car noise. Period. Many EV drivers enjoy driving along rural lanes whilst listening to the wildlife. Birdsong can be very soothing whilst driving. I drive an EV for various reasons, but high on the list is the peace and quiet of not having to hear a droning money to noise converter throughout the journey, Many thousands of people are annoyed by traffic noise, particularly at night, when one loud engine can be heard halfway across a city. I refuse to add to the noise pollution any more than is absolutely essential. If our car's pedestrian warning sound could be turned off, I'd do it immediately. It can be heard from several hundred metres away, and it sets off the local dogs every time they hear it. _That_ annoys the neighbours! When you think about it, almost nobody complained about an almost silent vintage Rolls Royce when it passed them, saying that their silence was dangerous, did they?
It does not bother you that it is July and Fisker claims sales start in November, and there is not a hint of a UI in that car, and no one is even being taken on rides driven by Fisker employees? Did you major in Gullibility in college?
Working with Magna is probably the best decision they’ve made. They’ve de-risked the whole company don’t have to worry about serious quality problems as they’ve been making EVs for a while now.
Oh yeah I can see quite a few future companies going with Magna to build their cars, there will be a lot of cars with similar running gear but the styling will be like all the different types of phones out there. Get rid of the ICE and emissions standards worries and just about anyone with a factory and sense of style can start pumping out a car.

The FISKER ocean is a straight to the point car ,they have focused on range and functionality and the technology included is enough for the modern driver ,not to mention the ocean is literally the most beautiful car around…look at it parked next to the lotus electre which is a gorgeous but the ocean still steals the show.
fisker is A1 fraud .. look at the interview from fox where he claimed he has solid state tech in 2018 ..this is 2022 ..he is con artist at the best....
Brilliant. Smart thinking by Fisker to make the Ocean environmentally friendly as well as include 250kW fast charging and vehicle-to-load (V2L). Fisker is a serious contender in the EV market!
It's a shame that the solar panels are only available on their most expensive model though I'd hope it'd at the very least make other manufacturers think about building cars to have solar panels, from the ground up for under 35K I'd love to have say an extra 6 miles a day straight from from sun. This is however down to me only having to use the car to go to the office twice a week
Placed my deposit a few months ago. The idea of teaming with Magna was a big plus for me and their broad approach to sustainability. Be an interesting follow up to my current Ioniq 5. Not sure I’ll be doing California mode that much in Scotland though.
Henrik Fisker has designed some beautiful cars. If he'd stayed at Tesla maybe their cars wouldn't look like stood on "Jelly Beans". Hopefully this time it's their turn to succeed. Good luck to them! I think this "LFP in base model NMC in extended-range version" approach is going to become extremely common across the industry. It minimizes costs, spreads sourcing risk and since you're already designing the car for the long-range version, you have the space to easily produce a standard-range version using lower-density LFP cells using the same battery volume. A knock-on benefit for consumers is that the most cost-conscious ones that are likely to keep cars for longer (those buying base models) will get a longer-endurance battery that is likely to degrade even less (than the typically already low degradation of NMC cells) over the lifespan of owning the vehicle. For those leasing a high-end car on a 3-year cycle this doesn't matter so much, but for those who regularly keep vehicles for 10-20 years this will be more important.
Same. They are extremely lucky to be able to take another stab at it after several previous failures. It looks great and I hope they can follow through and produce these in large numbers.

Nice style, good specs if they’re achieved, but will hold judgement for when the real production models start coming out for sale. Too many “coming soon” models around at the minute all of whom have some mighty scaling hurdles to overcome. Let’s hope this one breaks through.

Subcontracting the manufacturing to Magna will ensure excellent build quality but I suspect they will be limited in quantity. The Jaguar iPace was made in Graz but never in enough quantities...maybe that’s why the price was so high?...The car looks great and the £35,000 base price version is appealing...just don’t see how they are going to make enough of them to meet demand, maybe Magna will expand as a result of this contract with Fisker..lots of questions.

Like the camera door mirrors that are the same size as a conventional door mirror with a "You'd better sit down sir" warning when you visit the dealership to order a new one that was removed from your door by another motorist.
That satin blue model at 13:50 is quite possibly, one of the best looking vehicles (ICE or otherwise) I've seen E V E R ! I want that one.. THAT ONE!!!
So good to see Henrik Fisker get this car to production, been following ‘his dream’ for what seems like an eternity, looks fantastic, a usable range, affordable-ish and it’s going to have top built quality. Love to know the max cornering g, performance etc, bet it’s surprising good.
I liked this car, so much so that I ordered a One, which have probably all gone, so an Ultimate 6 months ago. Then I found out that they are not being shipped to the UK until June 2023, despite production starting in Nov 22. I might as well wait until I can get a test drive and review the quality of material's used and review the full specification at my leisure. I fear they might be overshadowed by Porsche, landrover etc

The design looks… fun! I like it. My biggest concern is: since they are outsourcing the car and not building their own factory, what are they going to do with showrooms, delivery locations, service centers? This seems crucial to me before I would feel comfortable putting down a deposit for one.

It's wild, David, they've said you can lease the car however long you'd like, a few months or nine years. Also, there'd be no penalty for extra mileage up to 30,000 miles per year. They call it the Fisker Flexee Lease.

That's a sharp looking vehicle. I'm glad Fisker is making a serious push into the market. I want one, but may have to wait for the PEAR model to be related as I can't afford 68K for the high end OCEAN model. Not many middle class Americans can. But the PEAR seems like it will be in the correct range.
Not a huge fan of the design with the silly exaggerated grill but 35k with a LFP battery and a range of 270 is really good. Since with LFP you can charge to 100% daily and have more daily range than cars with a longer range non LFP battery as they are limited to 80-90% daily to avoid battery degradation.
That argument doesn’t really make any sense since range is irrelevant on the daily drive unless you’re driving 250 miles a day. Long range is only needed on the rare long journey which is when you’d do that 100% max charge.
@@TecnamTwin I think having a higher daily range makes more of a difference when you take spontaneous trips and since EV range is effected by features such a climate control, security features etc. I also mentioned in my original post the the other advantages of LFP like higher cycle count and higher thermal stability.
Wow!!! That Fisker that starts at that price would be a hit in the U.S. Especially if it starts being built here as well to get the tax credit would be the most reasonably priced suv EV you can buy!!!!
As a millennial, the features that appeal most are the roll-down rear tailgate window, and the roll-down D-Pillar windows. The height is ideal. The front end is not too “busy” I really like the driver instrument cluster (Tesla still uses the center screen for speedo, indicators, etc.) The solar roof is very cool. (We have a Sonata Hybrid with a solar roof, and it’s very satisfying to watch the battery charge on hot Texas days) I like the rotating center screen. If it tilts towards the driver, that would make me love it! (I have a Mk7.5 GTI, and I love the 5° angle. It makes the car feel like a cockpit, with the comfort of the driver in mind)
The screen is only useful if there are streaming services available or if you can connect your phone to it and stream that way. The extra windows are cool but wouldn’t influence my buying decisions.
Jacks parting sentiment really speaks volumes and describes the direction and focus where Fisker is heading, I think it is going to be a cool ethical brand that like Jack says will end up being fun! and it has a solar panel roof! Small, granted, but what else has that coming out next year which will give you 1500 miles per annum. Stick that up ya pipe! Genuinely very excited about this brand, great idea using an already established manufacture to make it, very cleaver and forward thinking. Two thumbs up 👍👍
Fisker is doing something that I hoped more car manufacturers would be doing by now, it's the solar roofs. Yeah it doesn't improve the range that much, but while you're parked, it's charging. It only makes sense to have a solar roof.
Looks brilliant & how clever having Magna Steyr to build it like they do the Jaguar I Pace that is a fantastic car. I can’t wait to watch the U.K. test drive reviews and to actually know what size SUV the Ocean is equivalent to? Here’s hoping Fisker offer a competitive PCP option & it has every chance being designed & built in Europe!
Fisker is going to be a major game-changer in the automobile industry. I’m addition to the Ocean they have multiple other cars lined up that have unique competitive advantages over the rest of the industry. I’m definitely looking forward to buying myself an Ocean next year.
Funny how stupid people are. Until there is mass production Fisker is not even real. And by paying magna for the manufacturing they make sure the profit margins stay low. They will burn through a whole lot of cash until they go bankrupt. Prototypes are easy. Production is hard and outsourcing production is expensive.
On the one hand I am glad that Fisker have teamed up with Magna to build the car. Magna know how and where to source parts and know how to configure a design so that they can build it efficiently. However, Magna are a niche manufacturer geared towards producing niche products in limited quantities for third party companies (Jaguar iPace, Aston Martin Rapide, Mercedes G wagon, etc). Magna are not cheap and so It is difficult to see how Fisker will ever generate enough profit for itself to invest in its own mass production capability.
Just a side note (as I start to watch the beginning of the video) - but any chance of a short segment on that Renault 5 showing up soon? (want / need to see more EVs in that size-segment!)
Production will be in Austria, just registered my interest According to the site prices will be under £40000 as a starting point then you can custom your vehicle upwards with tech you want from what i have seen and read its a great car with the customer being able to have the vehicle delivered to their home and I read that mobile servicing is on the cards at your home but with allocated centers around the UK as well.
Really nice looking car. Looks like a Range Rover for people who don't have a stick up their arse. And yeah, Jack is a really good host. The knowledge, personality and passion makes Top Gear look awkward (not that they need any help) and The Grand Tour look very tired and forced (again, not that they need any help). I'm curious why the videos on this channel have such a low view count. I would expect each one to be getting hundreds of thousands of views. Does Fully Charged have another, main outlet for their productions?
It looks like an Isuzu Axiom crossed with a Dodge Nitro. I wouldn't have thought those two would make a nice looking combo, but it really does feel fresh. I wonder if it will be able to compete at that price with GM and Honda's Ultium offerings coming out in 2023/2024, but it certainly looks like a contender if they manage to work out the logistics for selling and servicing vehicles from a startup.
Can't wait to see the Pear, hope he's not just blowing smoke about how different is is and we don't just get like an EV6 or something (very good car, but we already have that)
@Commander Spock processing petrol/diesel just to ship it around the world is better then? locally produced electricity in Sweden is either hydro, wind, nuclear or solar. no such thing as coal here.
Ah Spock - like the cobalt that’s used in huge quantities in fossil fuel refining? Plenty of EV drivers have solar - and in the UK, the grid is now approx 50% zero carbon and improving every year. Catch up to this century, rather than being stuck in the 1900s eh?
I really like this car. It looks pretty cool, isn't slow, interior is modern..... But still about twice the average budget for buying a car. And where I live, there are 2 charging spots on the parking lot for about 200+ cars, and no option to have a private spot. Only place I would be able to charge it is at a gas station on my way to work, which makes a long trip a lot longer. (Or I could ask my boss for an extension cord and charge it out of the 3rd floor window :P) Too bad all the new cars are really cool on their own, but all the stuff around them still is troublesome. But hey, if you're reading this Henrik, hit me up with one and I'll write an extensive report about the car and if it's worth all the hassle ;)

The design looks… fun! I like it. My biggest concern is: since they are outsourcing the car and not building their own factory, what are they going to do with showrooms, delivery locations, service centers? This seems crucial to me before I would feel comfortable putting down a deposit for one.
Those things, while relevant, seem entirely unrelated to where the car is built.
Spares them a lot of cash to set up showrooms and service centers. A factory is a money furnace, as described by Elon Musk.

It's wild, David, they've said you can lease the car however long you'd like, a few months or nine years. Also, there'd be no penalty for extra mileage up to 30,000 miles per year. They call it the Fisker Flexee Lease.

That's a sharp looking vehicle. I'm glad Fisker is making a serious push into the market. I want one, but may have to wait for the PEAR model to be related as I can't afford 68K for the high end OCEAN model. Not many middle class Americans can. But the PEAR seems like it will be in the correct range.
Explain why so many trucks and expensive gas guzzling SUVs are being bought then...most go from 60k 80k and more.

@@chidorirasenganz how many people buy a base model vehicle? The car dealerships almost never even have a base model on their lot.
Not a huge fan of the design with the silly exaggerated grill but 35k with a LFP battery and a range of 270 is really good. Since with LFP you can charge to 100% daily and have more daily range than cars with a longer range non LFP battery as they are limited to 80-90% daily to avoid battery degradation.
agree on oversized unnecessary and ugly grill - lets an otherwise decent design down - nothing worse than stupid Audi-esque grill fashion
That argument doesn’t really make any sense since range is irrelevant on the daily drive unless you’re driving 250 miles a day. Long range is only needed on the rare long journey which is when you’d do that 100% max charge.
@@TecnamTwin I think having a higher daily range makes more of a difference when you take spontaneous trips and since EV range is effected by features such a climate control, security features etc. I also mentioned in my original post the the other advantages of LFP like higher cycle count and higher thermal stability.

Wow!!! That Fisker that starts at that price would be a hit in the U.S. Especially if it starts being built here as well to get the tax credit would be the most reasonably priced suv EV you can buy!!!!

As a millennial, the features that appeal most are the roll-down rear tailgate window, and the roll-down D-Pillar windows.
The height is ideal.
The front end is not too “busy”
I really like the driver instrument cluster (Tesla still uses the center screen for speedo, indicators, etc.)
The solar roof is very cool.
(We have a Sonata Hybrid with a solar roof, and it’s very satisfying to watch the battery charge on hot Texas days)
I like the rotating center screen. If it tilts towards the driver, that would make me love it! (I have a Mk7.5 GTI, and I love the 5° angle. It makes the car feel like a cockpit, with the comfort of the driver in mind)
The screen is only useful if there are streaming services available or if you can connect your phone to it and stream that way. The extra windows are cool but wouldn’t influence my buying decisions.
Jacks parting sentiment really speaks volumes and describes the direction and focus where Fisker is heading, I think it is going to be a cool ethical brand that like Jack says will end up being fun! and it has a solar panel roof! Small, granted, but what else has that coming out next year which will give you 1500 miles per annum. Stick that up ya pipe! Genuinely very excited about this brand, great idea using an already established manufacture to make it, very cleaver and forward thinking. Two thumbs up 👍👍
If you get half of the promised 1500 miles with that panel, I would already be surprised.

Fisker is doing something that I hoped more car manufacturers would be doing by now, it's the solar roofs. Yeah it doesn't improve the range that much, but while you're parked, it's charging. It only makes sense to have a solar roof.
Looks brilliant & how clever having Magna Steyr to build it like they do the Jaguar I Pace that is a fantastic car. I can’t wait to watch the U.K. test drive reviews and to actually know what size SUV the Ocean is equivalent to?

Fisker is going to be a major game-changer in the automobile industry. I’m addition to the Ocean they have multiple other cars lined up that have unique competitive advantages over the rest of the industry. I’m definitely looking forward to buying myself an Ocean next year.
Funny how stupid people are. Until there is mass production Fisker is not even real. And by paying magna for the manufacturing they make sure the profit margins stay low. They will burn through a whole lot of cash until they go bankrupt. Prototypes are easy. Production is hard and outsourcing production is expensive.

On the one hand I am glad that Fisker have teamed up with Magna to build the car. Magna know how and where to source parts and know how to configure a design so that they can build it efficiently. However, Magna are a niche manufacturer geared towards producing niche products in limited quantities for third party companies (Jaguar iPace, Aston Martin Rapide, Mercedes G wagon, etc). Magna are not cheap and so It is difficult to see how Fisker will ever generate enough profit for itself to invest in its own mass production capability.
Just a side note (as I start to watch the beginning of the video) - but any chance of a short segment on that Renault 5 showing up soon? (want / need to see more EVs in that size-segment!)

Production will be in Austria, just registered my interest According to the site prices will be under £40000 as a starting point then you can custom your vehicle upwards with tech you want from what i have seen and read its a great car with the customer being able to have the vehicle delivered to their home and I read that mobile servicing is on the cards at your home but with allocated centers around the UK as well.
Really nice looking car. Looks like a Range Rover for people who don't have a stick up their arse.
And yeah, Jack is a really good host. The knowledge, personality and passion makes Top Gear look awkward (not that they need any help) and The Grand Tour look very tired and forced (again, not that they need any help).
I'm curious why the videos on this channel have such a low view count. I would expect each one to be getting hundreds of thousands of views. Does Fully Charged have another, main outlet for their productions?
It looks like an Isuzu Axiom crossed with a Dodge Nitro. I wouldn't have thought those two would make a nice looking combo, but it really does feel fresh. I wonder if it will be able to compete at that price with GM and Honda's Ultium offerings coming out in 2023/2024, but it certainly looks like a contender if they manage to work out the logistics for selling and servicing vehicles from a startup.

I'm so impressed by this vehicle. it reminds me of Range Rover which I love. The range is perfect on the Ultra and Extreme.
I really like this car. It looks pretty cool, isn't slow, interior is modern.....
But still about twice the average budget for buying a car. And where I live, there are 2 charging spots on the parking lot for about 200+ cars, and no option to have a private spot. Only place I would be able to charge it is at a gas station on my way to work, which makes a long trip a lot longer. (Or I could ask my boss for an extension cord and charge it out of the 3rd floor window :P)
Too bad all the new cars are really cool on their own, but all the stuff around them still is troublesome.
