I cant tell you how much I enjoy your two videos ( so far) it makes it so much easier to understand s3d I will enjoy following along as you produce them.
Thanks Again
Glad they helped :)
Great video - good thing Simplify3D never gets updated so your video remains useful even 5 years later!
Awesome job! I will be checking this out for mine. Also I love the push notification for the Folger Tech facebook groupe!
Thanks. I should probably turn those off :/
This is very informative video. I learnt alot and enjoy from this video.
Thank you. That was very informative.
Finally someone that talks as fast as me and holds my attention! Thanks for the great overview.
I talked fast to try and make the video as short as I could since I knew it would be long and I didn't want to break it up.
I HATE slow talkers - your talking speed is one of the reasons I can listen to you. :)
Also sometimes I get a bit excited lol
one of the best walkthrou i have seen on simplify3d, seriuosly your video should be the official beginners guide on simplify3d, now i see why my prints where failing so much, and im printing PETG, now they look nice and crispy (note: i have never used simplify3d before, too intimidathing).
Glad it helped!
Nice video introduction of Simplify3D
Thank you for this Video , I am going throug it slowly so I can correct the s3d I got
very good detailed video, I just bought S3D and I'm learning everything I can ....... Thanks again for the good video. P.S. I subscribed ;- )
Thanks for the sub!
does simplofy3d have generic profiles already set for different types of filaments or do you have to make them?
Yes, it has standard profiles for all printers that are in the configuration wizard.
Not sure you want to have your fan shut off on the mini. That fan cools the head as well. Could cause filament to melt in the cold end.
You could delay it but I have not had any issues yet. Once I add the E3D hot end I'll only be shutting off the part cooling fan and not the heat break fan.
how does simplify 3d do on recognizing thin walls? I had made a design once that had 0.8 mm walls for lettering and a border and cura would show them in the program but after slicing and putting on the SD card and printing it they didn't print , and what did print was little pieces here and there. I used slic3r and it did fine
It really depends on your settings. I've never really had a problem unless it was with the model itself. If you can, scale the print up 1% and see if it slices better.
Fantastic. Thank you. Now I got a Tevo tornado so are any of my settings different from your? Yes I understand the build size but any of the others? Thanks
I would start with the Tevo Tornado profile in S3D and change things up from there. I like the stock profile except for the support settings.
Okay thanks much
Im like your explain fast and no bullshit
What the fuck are you talking about? I had to watch at 2x speed to bother.
nice video.
Good video! How did you get you units for velocity to be mm/s ? I am stuck with mm/min.
It should be on in the main preferences. Radio button to select mm/m or mm/s.
I've got V4.1.2 and the speed is measured in MM/MIN, not MM/S. How can I change this to MM/S??
I have a cr_10 using simplify 3d software . my printer print then pause for a couple of seconds then it print pause what am I doing wrong
Sounds like a gcode issue. Have you tried another file?
