- What a Session! I took a big gamble fishing during the storm at a mark I'd fished once before. The gamble paid off big style and caught a load of fish in 3.5 hours. Hope you enjoy and happy new year!

Brilliant session Nathan, effort definitely payed reward good on ya, I am living in New Zealand now for 27 years , though I can remember a lot of the marks you fish as I did many moons ago,l am originally from North Shields a far cry from where I am now though I still miss the old town.
Just a little tip mate, buy some nail clippers for cutting your traces, this stops you blunting your knife and sawing through your fishing box.

Cracking session Nathan I recommend a collapsible bucket filled with water on a bungee keeps the tripod anchored.

Great session, no Cod round here on the Isle of Skye, but we have shed loads of Skate, Pollock and rays, give me a shout if you are up here in Spring won't put boat back in until April but happy to take you out. The Penn Tidal 8000 reel is what would be useful when I head out to Uist.

Excellent video as usual, one thing I don't like is you violently pulling the rod to break from the snag , you'll crack your rod one day , lower your rod and put the line around your arm then pull , less stress on the rod that way , anyhow id love to give the penn tidal 8000 a blast thanks

I’ve not had a session like that since the 70’s so I’m hoping that the Lazey Lures Adventure bundle will help me get some Bass out this year as it’s been hit and miss on anything else. I’m in Aberdeen. I’ve used Somers since I was at school 40 years ago. Got my first beach caster there. They used to hand make rods for you from blanks. Balmedie beach, bout 8 miles outside Aberdeen, can be good sometimes depending on weather . Lots of nice rock marks down at Stonehaven.Always nice when the fish gods help !! 😂

Just been watching the video in Aberdeenshire great fishing a nice place for fishing is we're I do my fishing for cod and haddock go to portsoy on the coast up from Aberdeen I live in Aboyne if you go to the that place head for the pear to the left you will see the fish behind the dolphin very strong water enjoy

Great videos, I've been looking at Scarpa shoes for clambering around on the rocks.
Excellent video as usual Nathan. If you are coming up to your usual beach in Northumberland where we have met a few times don't bother on big tides as it empties out much worse than usual. Its still fishing well if you can avoid the weed. Century or Penn woul be my choice for the giveaway.

Excellent cod catching nathan I wish could catch cod like that all I'm catching is white in had one cod the size of my hand I only started beach fishing a couple off months ago and been going once a week around hull and grimsby really enjoying if I'm lucky the century fireblade would really help me out keep up the tight lines
