    I can appreciate this alot ^^. It is so funny too, I have a personal best Cod at around 1.8kg, and where I live sadly, that is pretty decent. These fish are just stupid haha. Very nice :D

    Why are the fish so big there? Is there no commercial fishery?

    • @aneholfelt
      @aneholfelt 4 месяца назад +1

      The cod is called “Skrei”. Its a little bit different compared to normal Cod. They arrived the Norwegian coast from the Barent Sea every spring to spawn. Bigger fish, with bigger teath and Munch stronger. Catch Skrei every year past 45 kg. But they are under pressure by global warming and commercial fishing for billions.

    Do these fish survive the pressure change? I've heard you cannot C&R in Norway, they have to be kept for food.

      Its up to you. As soon as you see color you stop figthing the fish. Giving it time to release the air for a couple of minutes. It releases a lot of bobles.

      Hi Tony, reels are Fathom II LD size 15. We have several different Squadron boat rods but if I remember correctly they were 12-20 and 20-30lb.

    WOW...!! What is it about fish in Norway 🇳🇴?? They're all massive even the coalfish you used as halibut bait in another video looked about 1.5kg , that's insane size bait 😳

    • @simonpieman1653
      @simonpieman1653 10 месяцев назад

      It's because they dont allow commercial fisherman to wipe everything out

    Hi I have I question. Why do you release the fish like you can get a lot of money selling them.

    • @aneholfelt
      @aneholfelt 4 месяца назад +1

      Its not all about quick money• We come back next year and catch it again but then its match bigger. And we pay for the trip once more.
