I’m new to Luxio and having trouble with it going on smooth then by the third nail it has moved into what looks like file lines and separating and running into cuticles.. I put the thinnest coats on, and it can take up to 4 coats to get it solid sometimes all while having to cure 2 nails at a time. I’m constantly chasing it. Not as much as ugly duckling but still chasing. It sounds like I’m using a ton but I’m really really not and Im a bit Frustrated. Any advice? Yours is crazy smooth!! I’m wondering if it’s the heat of my salon?
You're such a great teacher! I'm learning a lot. Is there a benefit to using a hard gel for 30-day manicure instead of a soak-off? Does a hard gel last longer?
Ashley thanks so much! I’m glad you are learning! There are a few reasons I prefer hard gel over soak off; it doesn’t get as hot as it flies, if gives more of the feeling of hard natural nails and it’s not as flexible. That being said, I have a few clients who do better in more flexible gel, they get lifting with hard gel but none with O
Hello I had a question for you. I read that you charge $60 for your 30-day manicure but what if somebody is coming in every 2 or 3 weeks for a gel fill that is not necessarily a 30-day manicure what do you charge for that?
30 days is the typical time most clients can go, so that's why it's what I call it. I have some that come in sooner by choice, some need to. It's the same amount of product, tine and work, therefor it's the same price. I used to charge different for 2, 3 and 4-+ week appointments but it was a huge pain and in the end I hated 2 week appointments because I'd work the same but get paid lesss. So I dropped it.
On MOST (95%) of clients, they can go 30 days without a problem. I have one out of over 100 clients who just can't. Her free edge curls away very oddly - we have tried everything and it just does. She goes 3 weeks. Everyone else CAN go 4 weeks and many do. Some go 5 weeks. And some go 2 weeks just out of pure preference (they don't like them long at all or they dont like to see grow out) - their nails are perfect and barely grown, but its what they want. For most clients though, they come once a month, somewhere between 3-4 weeks.
What do you mean? They are thin, smooth (as you can see from the line of light), the color was solid and the gloss even and the client is always pleased that this is the result and they look the same a month later. This isn't a nail model with model nail beds, this is a real every-day client with typical nails. :) What is it you are looking for?
Can you show a video of how to apply gel play as a full color and how you get it close to the cuticle. Thanks so much! Your videos are so helpful!!
+heatherL37 sure once I have someone that chooses a gel play as a full color. :)

Drea Rose you could try using one of those hand held led lights for curing and just cure for a couple of seconds after you paint each nail! 😘

When she comes back, do you soak off everything, or file off and do a fill like you would when you use the UV natural for the 30 day mani?
I never soak anything off. I file off down to the clear layer. Check the video I'm putting up tonight, its a re-do start to finish :)
thank you thank you! That video was so helpful!
You can do this with the options line? You don't have to use the hard gel? Thanks in advance!
Hi, what prodcutos have you used previously to crystal gel? This gel is to finish I think?
Which gels do I use for applying crystals? I use Bling On and Shine on. Both available at LuvNailz

Since you call this a 30 day manicure, do you guarantee 30 days?

Maybe I’m not right but I hope that nails look better in person.
