I have a very strong c-curve as well and have found that applying very thin coats is the best way for me. This way I get complete coverage without having the polish run to the sides.
That is truly a PERFECT gel polish application! I watched some other video last night that _claimed_ to be the "perfect" method, but she left a 3 millimeter unpolished border all the way around her cuticles, sidewalls and all the way to the LONG tips! I couldn't believe how ghastly it looked when she was done! Of course the comments were about 95% negative and she had the nerve to JUSTIFY leaving that much space around her cuticles and sidewalls! It rather looked like she had polished her nails in front of a firing squad, ready to fire if she got any polish on her skin. It was crazy. If she were my manicurist I'd fire her! On the other hand, if YOU were my manicurist I'd NEVER leave, my butt would be in you chair every 2 to 3 weeks come hell or high water, and I'd talk you up on Yelp! and every other form of social media out there. Your attention to detail makes YOU a GREAT manicurist!

The first time I used gel polish on my nails didn’t go so well, the next day the polish was peeling off even after using the Light the polish was still wet a little bit, so last night I came up with a idea to try the “Clear Fast Gel which is just a normal polish but has a sticky base to it, i took the shine off the nails and then I painted the gel polish on I cured it under the light for 60s and used the fast clear gel and also cured that for 60s two time and the fast clear gel polish will dry in seconds. I would highly recommend this it works. If you are anyone that experienced this or if you experienced it many times I would definitely highly recommend this method 😘
One thing I wanted to ask was about using the dry top coat. I find sometimes this cracks on top of the gel polish on the natural nails. Because it is quite a hard top coat.
You are right, I've noticed that too! There are some dry top coats that are more flexible. For example Tip Top from Indigo - I'm sure other brands have them too right now. I also love using it, because you can apply a thin layer and the application is still very smooth.
All you'd have to do is get a better topcoat. The one I use is dry to the touch in 3-5 minutes yet thick enough to cover glitter. I paint my nails every night then go right to bed.

Hi ❤️ great question! It really depends on the design or product. If I feel like the gel is moving around too much, I'd cure individually, but I also cure the whole hand when I'm confident it will stay in place.

Only way I can grow my nails out is if I have them painted with gel. It really helps them stay stronger and not snap so easily. I don't think I've ever broken a nail while I had gel polish on.

@@G.oWendy Another thing that may cause your top coat to be cloudy is removing the sticky layer too fast. Once you cure your top coat you should wait minimum 1 minute for the top to cool down before wiping the dispersion layer off. This rule should also be applied to no-wipe top coats without a dispersion layer. Just let your nails cool down after lamp to remain the shine and gloss. Hope this helps.
Hello ! I started to paint my nails with gel polish a few months ago and I still have the same issue. The manicure lasts for like one week and then the polish is starting to peel off around the cuticule. I saw you recommended a 48W lamp though mine is only 12W. Do you think it could come from that ? Or is it just about my poor application technique ? 😂 Thanks for you help!
The problem is probably not your lamp (although I do recommend a strong LED lamp to avoid gel related allergies). Did you make sure to remove your cuticle? The nail plate must be spotless and any oil must be removed. You can also try buffing your nail at the cuticles slightly more.

About the cuticules at first I was not paying much attention but even when I thought I did a good job removing them it peeled of like a week and a half after application... You can use them, but not directly before applying the gel. Your nail plate should be dry and cuticle removers will likely leave some moisture on your nail.
Can someone tell me if i get my nails done at the salon (get tips put on) can i maintain at home? This isn't like a "fill" though, right? Would just like to start off with a bit of length and start maintaining at home
You need acetone polish remover , cotton balls , orange stick which is a wooden nail stick , nail file or electric file , you can use tin foil to hold the cotton balls on or get nail clips . also good to have cuticle or olive oil to help strengthen your nails once the gel is off . Nail clips are better then foil in my opinion.with your nail file or electric file gently take off the shine of your nails. Don’t go down to your layer of your nail or you will damage your nails . Only remove the top layer of shine . Remove the dust from the nails . Soak a cotton ball in acetone place on your nail and place a nail clip on they can be bought on Amazon . Do five nails at a time . Set a timer for 15 minutes and use the orange stick to gently scrape away the gel polish . If it gives you a hard time repeat the process until you can gently get all of the polish off. Repeat with the opposite hand . Wash and dry your hands and nails . Apply cuticle oil to nails and cuticles or can use olive oil . Let your nails rest two to four weeks before doing another manicure so your nails have a chance to have a break .
@@LP-oj3rp it’s to give your nails a chance to recoup after the process of taking the gel off . Since it can damage your natural nails . The gel I use recommends waiting two to four weeks before your next manicure to let your nails recoup as well.

When you apply the cuticle oil after does it take away the shine from the top coat ????
It will not affect the shine (unless you apply it right away). Wait a couple of minutes after you take your nails out of the lamp and then oil up.

It's not possible to use gel without the lamp. The gel polish will stay 'wet'.

For some people it's necessary, for some it isn't. If your gel polish holds without any problems then you don't need it.

It does smell VERY slightly when it's uncured (nothing comparing to regular nail polish). Once you cure it in the lamp, it doesn't smell at all.

It needs to be alcohol and I've found that hand sanitiser works really well. I even used a liqueur once when I was desperate!

Can someone tell me if i get my nails done at the salon (get tips put on) can i maintain at home? This isn't like a "fill" though, right? Would just like to start off with a bit of length and start maintaining at home

Looks very good :-) Bot how do you remove the gel polish?
You need acetone polish remover , cotton balls , orange stick which is a wooden nail stick , nail file or electric file , you can use tin foil to hold the cotton balls on or get nail clips . also good to have cuticle or olive oil to help strengthen your nails once the gel is off . Nail clips are better then foil in my opinion.with your nail file or electric file gently take off the shine of your nails. Don’t go down to your layer of your nail or you will damage your nails . Only remove the top layer of shine . Remove the dust from the nails . Soak a cotton ball in acetone place on your nail and place a nail clip on they can be bought on Amazon . Do five nails at a time . Set a timer for 15 minutes and use the orange stick to gently scrape away the gel polish . If it gives you a hard time repeat the process until you can gently get all of the polish off. Repeat with the opposite hand . Wash and dry your hands and nails . Apply cuticle oil to nails and cuticles or can use olive oil . Let your nails rest two to four weeks before doing another manicure so your nails have a chance to have a break .

@@LP-oj3rp it’s to give your nails a chance to recoup after the process of taking the gel off . Since it can damage your natural nails . The gel I use recommends waiting two to four weeks before your next manicure to let your nails recoup as well.

I wish I hadn't watched this, but I'm glad I did. My nails are so bad, and I still paid for them. I really need to learn to say I don't like it, stop, fix it or I'm not paying. My nails are so thick and horrible. I'm embarrassed to say I paid for them.
