If they did not take matters into their own hands. That SUV could of been parked at the police station and still they would not of found it.

Oh please, take matters into your own hands, when my car got stolen in NJ i was in shambles. I called the police hoping to get help with my situation... What i was never informed of was if the cops find your vehicle they will tow it as if you parked incorrectly and then charge you JUST to see whats left of your vehicle. I wasnt allowed to see what had happened to my vehicle, i wasnt told the day my car was found, i got a random call apparently one week after the car was found and had incurred towing storage fees, that i couldnt afford from the start... I basically bought my car again just to get it back... Im going after my thieves next time.

      Built on a truck platform.
They are classed as trucks by their manufacturers.
Also registered and insured as trucks.
Some smaller SUV's and crossovers are not truck-based.

Please correct me if I am wrong. Your SUV was stolen and you decide to chase the thief’s with another of YOUR Vehicle. You endanger everyone on the street and apparently at a high rate of speed on a highway, as evidenced by the fact you CRASHED your second vehicle and possibly causing serious bodily injuries and even death to innocent persons and yourself.
And if that’s not enough you find your stolen vehicle with the Thief’s in it and decide not to have the POLICE handle it, but to attack the two thief’s inside, endangering Yourselves and again any Innocent Persons around you. Oh I almost forgot....THEY GOT AWAY! It appears that you then drove your SUV back to your house, once again possible putting yourself in danger as you were still driving a “HOT CAR” as far as the police are concerned. Additionally YOU tainted any and all use of evidence inside (drugs, paraphernalia, fingerprints etc.) of the SUV.
It seem you were able to find and use the local NEWS Station Phone number and finally the POLICE as they were at your house, at the same time.
      BROVO!
Ps, By YOU STATING on TV, and now on Utube that .......”I GRABBED HER BY THE PONY TALE” you opens yourself up for a charge of assault.
By your actions you endanger INNOCENTS People and yourself for WHAT, A CAR?
PLEASE LET THE POLICE DUE THEIR JOB.......That is why we have them

They looked at me so dumbfounded, and pointed at their suv lol. I was like, ohhhhh, you gotta new suv. They looked at me like I was a monster. At that point I couldn’t take their truck bs anymore haha. Learn or get lost

i grew up in Rhode Island in the 60s. We only had one car in the family. My parents used to leave the keys on the floor of the car. That way whether dad or mom needed the car they always knew where the keys were. We didn't lock anything up on the street we lived on. But we also did not have any apartment buildings or many transients around. Burglary and theft was very rare. The city was not crowded.

Now the insurance won’t pay crap . Should of waited and let them total it out completely . Patience is a virtue in this case . Way to go now you are totally screwed , sad story 😰

    • @unforsakenentity
      @unforsakenentity 5 лет назад +2

They would be more screwed if they did that. It takes time for insurance to declare it gone and total it out so a rental would not be covered in the meantime. If you don't have the cash for that, waiting for reimbursement might not be an option. If they have a loan on the vehicle, they would have to cover the difference since insurance never pays the full loan amount and most people don't have gap insurance. Finally, if they used the insurance, their rates would permanently go up after totaling a car and not by a small amount. You are talking thousands over the course of years. Even if the crooks were caught and ordered to pay, your insurance goes up.
There really is no winning in this situation. Just how much cost can you avoid.

It's a little surprising that a TV news department in a major city doesn't know what a "carjacking" is. What happened here is two or three steps removed from a carjacking. A carjacking is a robbery where the operator of the car is either removed by force or threat of force by the robber(s), or kidnapped by them. An auto robbery that is not a carjacking typically is where a person is gassing up their car or getting ready to get in their car and they are robbed of their keys.
An auto theft is where someone breaks into a car and starts it, or where the car is left unattended with the keys in ignition. That's what we have here, according to the details and video given in this story.
Virtually no victim of a carjacking, as opposed to an auto theft, would consider chasing after their car unless they are armed.

If they had waited for Dallas to do anything that would have never found the car even though they put in a police report the day before and the police drove by that car half dozen times they did nothing these people go by one time found it. Yes you take care of the problem cuz if you wait for the police it will never get done.
But if you do go looking for them you go with a gun. That way if you find them you can tell them get to the ground if they don't get to the ground you can unload them. At least it they'll be caught. Won't you kill the driver the girl in the ponytail won't go nowhere so just lay on the ground a week for the police.
Most of the thieves are some of the homeless and are not going to go far for their areas that they live as a homeless person.
